Each weather has a setting called "weather classification" with different flags like pleasant, cloudy, rainy etc. So you could easily flag any weather as "rainy" using the Creation Kit or FO4Edit and get the wet surfaces.

Editing sound fx files information please?
HULKHOD3N replied to StormWolf01's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
The first thing you need to do is extracting the "Fallout4 - Sounds.ba2" file, located in your /data folder. You can use tools like Archive2 (comes with the CreationKit) or BAE (Bethesda Archive Extractor). Then you have to search for the desired files, you're right about the FX folder, they are most likely in there. This can be tedious, but you will find what you're looking for with a little patience. Most files in there are either .wav or .xwm format. To convert .xwm files to .wav you can use the tool "MultiXwm", that can be found on the Nexus. When you're all set, you just create the whole file path in your data folder where your edited files are located and drop them in there. It doesn't matter if they are .xwm or wav. both will work just fine. .xwm is just more compressed and will save discspace. Edit: Making stuff just quieter there is also another way. If you know exactly what you're looking for, you can lower the "Static Attenuation" in the Sound Descriptor record, using Xedit or the CK. -

Blood textures, puddles etc.
HULKHOD3N replied to Deleted49413338User's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I have no clue... i think it's more like a "bug", misbehaviour of the engine. No one figured that out yet to my knowledge. Anyway... good luck! -
Blood textures, puddles etc.

I'm afraid no. In the comment section of the enhanced blood mod was a discussion about this a while ago. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way of fixing this and it is called as a engine-limitation. If i remember correctly, it's about how the engine handles cubemaps. They seem to be applied randomly sometimes and if it's the wrong one, you get this. The way to fix this would be to change the cubemap for metal/chrome stuff to a dark one, but then all metal/chrome ingame is dull and looks very unpleasing. If someone will ever find a way he deserves a big cookie. -

Running Off Ledges - Whiteout (144 FPS Linked?)
HULKHOD3N replied to L3ahkim's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I've been running the game capped at 100fps + the mod "Fallout 4 works" (just search it with google) with no issues whatsoever. Buttery smooth without speed-ups or any other glitches. -
Well, my game is stutter free with this mod and borderless fullscreen is the way to go... Nothing else helped that much, believe it or not - take it or not. Playing at 30 FPS is not a solution at all.... :-)

A mod called "Fallout 4 works" is the real answer. This plus iFPSClamp (with some sideeffects) and this game runs silky smooth, accept for 3rd person, this might be f*#@ed forever...

Yeah, i was thinking that to myself too. I tinkered around and ended up with creating a glowmap and the result is quite good now, everywhere. Plus it's a nice touch at nights.

Well, disabling ENB and NAC did nothing. I really don't know, maybe it's something in the material file but i did my best following tut's on it. It's just strange..

Ok so first of all, i'm fairly new to texture editing and such just so you know. So i have this wristwatch (Thanks Shiny Haxorous) and in some interiors (most of them not) the textures look nice and crisp, for example in the Institute main entrance. BUT Outside, no matter where, they look kind of muddy, unsharp, etc. Examples (please maximise the screenshots, it's clearly visible i think): https://imgur.com/a/0IgKZXA So i wonder why is that? I have diffuse and normal maps. Anyone know what's the problem here? Thanks for your time reading this! Cheers

GTX1080 user here. Playing capped at 100fps for about the past few weeks and it's really playable - if you don't mind a few little glitches here and there but nothing major. Things like Cars falling from the sky and things like "that" i've already seen more than enough capped at 60fps! But well... even by the massive, sometimes totally random, fps drops you can tell, it's simply not build for anything above 60fps. As for the drivers... I've seen massive differences. Example: WIth the 378.78 i get drops to pretty much locked 50 fps in some spots at Easy City Downs. Using the latest driver (397.64) in the same spots i only get short drops to around 80-90fps. Honestly, i f***ing love it at 100fps capped even with heavier drops in some places compared to 60 and i really don't mind a few glitches as long as they aren't gamebreaking. It's such a difference, as long as you've tweaked a lot of things to have good frametimings etc.. Vanilla seriously runs like s***. "Fallout 4 works" by Kaldaien is a great mod if tweaked right and helps a lot with framepacing. However...Third person view is still f***ed for me, so jittery it's just a bad joke and unplayable, period. Got a i7 7700K @ 5.0Ghz (in the summertime), 16gb DDR4 @ 3000Mhz, SSD.
