The only way I was able to correct this problem was to fire up SSEEdit (xEdit), load up the entire LO, and apply the "show conflicts" filter in SSEEdit.  Then went looking for changes to the vampire race records, and dragged and dropped the files I needed to change into an override file for a patch.  Was some time ago, and have a few black face bugs returning, where the faces are not black, but with crazy patterns and shades on them.  Haven't chased this problem(s) down yet.

Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to save this for later if it happens again.

Before reading your reply, I was able to find an alternate solution by finding a mod called "Cosmetic Vampire Overhaul SE". A mod that used to be here on Nexus but has since been removed since I was able to see translations to it but the actual mod page is unavailable. But I found it on another site and that fixed the black face bug.

  2. So I'm experiencing the famous "black face" bug with vampires in Skyrim SE. It doesn't happen with my player character who is a vampire and also Serana, Harkon and Vingalmo (high elf at castle volkihar) look normal. Pretty much all other vampires have the bug.

I went to the burned down Hall of Vigilant where there are dead vampires and saved there and then tried to disable any and all mods that I had that I could think that will change either vampires or face. It still persisted and I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas on what to try?

Main mods I use for making characters look better include things like CBBE, Racemenu, better looking elves (tried to disable, no luck), Bijin Skin (tried, nope), improved eyes, marks of beauty, expressive facegen morphs (also tried, no luck) and apachi skyhair.

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  3. Afaik, you'll need CBPC for breast bounce, in case you don't already have that installed. If however, you actually meant that you have CBBE-3BA instead of just stock CBBE, you'll need CBPC and HDT-SMP using the appropriate versions for your game

If you already have the prerequisite mod(s) installed, you also need to Build your body and clothing/armor in Bodyslide.

If you already have done this stuff... not sure. More detail might be helpful

I only have the basic CBBE and Bodyslide. Nothing more and I don't even want any body physics mods. I just want the modded outfits work like vanilla outfits do but with my CBBE body preset. No jiggling or bouncing required.

Many outfit mods say they only require cbbe and bodyslide but when I instal the mod and build the outfit to my preset, this happens in the game.

After spending more time in google, it might have something to do with skeleton and somehow replacing that might work but I haven't had the time to really try it out.

  4. How can I stop this from happening with many cbbe outfits?

I know it has something to do with physics and I don't have any body physics mods but many outfits I download clearly say in the description that the outfit also works without any physics mods but often enough this happens. I have normal cbbe and bodyslide and when I get a new outfit, I always go to bodyslide and batch build the outfit to match my body preset.

Sometimes the mod description doesn't mention the physics at all as a requirement and instead only state that bodyslide and cbbe are required.

Is it something I need to do in the outfit studio or what? Any guides would be much appreciated.

  5. Ever since we got AE and the patch to the SSE, I have noticed that I can no longer sleep in free beds. E.g. previously I was able to sleep in Alvor's house in Riverwood if I escaped with Hadvar or I could sleep at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun after chopping some wood to Hulda. Ever since the patch when I try to sleep in these beds, the game just tells me "You can't sleep at an owned bed" even though the text does not say "Bed (Owned)." If I actually buy the room from Hulda, I can sleep normally.

Is this a a common bug or is it just my game?

My mods are the same as before so I don't think any of the mods are the reason.

Also I don't have AE installed, I simply have SSE.

Some beds clearly say "Bed (owned)" and naturally you can't sleep in those but the beds mentioned earlier doesn't. I can't even sleep in Faendal's bed even though I'm his friend.

This issue doesn't affect all the beds though. E.g. I can still sleep in faction HQs, I can sleep at Anise's Cabin if I kill Anise and i can sleep at Haelgas bunkhouse normally.

I know it's not a big deal but just weird one.

  6. Sorry if this is a dumb question but here goes. If I'm using Nexus Mod Manager to download mods into Cyberpunk 2077, do I need to do something first or do the mods just work by simply activating them in the NMM?

E.g. in Fallout 4 you need to make adjustments in couple .ini files to enable mods so I'm wondering if something similar is needed with 2077.

  7. I was wondering if there already is a mod or would it be possible to make a mod that would show what kind of resistances and/or weaknesses enemies have next to their health bar? Kinda like the "awareness" perk in Fallout 4.

It's sometimes frustrating to play as a mage when you don't always see what race or type your enemy is so you just keep using something like shock all the time because that most likely works. It would be cool to use more frost spells (no pun intended) more but so many enemies are resistant or even immune to it so this kind of mod would help a lot.

  8. I remember once having a mod in "Oldrim" where you could loot the skulls from dead humanoid enemies but I haven't been able to find a similar mod in SE. Does anyone know if such a mod exists or if someone could perhaps make one?

I did manage to find a mod which allows you harvest flesh and hearts from humans (@ToggleAI) but no skulls.

One of my favourite characters from Oldrim was a "skull collector" orc barbarian who made his base in the DB sanctuary after destroying the DB faction ofc and basically I was roleplaying that the orc barbarian wanted to please Malacath by slaying as many foes as possible and then harvest their skulls in Malacath's name and I would really love to recreate this build.

  9. You have to complete Reunions first. Kill Kellog in the Command Center. There is a terminal that will unlock the security gates to a elevator that will take you to the roof. Very important to take this elevator when you exit Fort Hagen; don't backtrack or use any other exit.

I have completed that quest in the right way. Otherwise the Prydwen wouldn't even arrive. As I said, I'm at a point where I'm supposed to go and speak with Amari.

  10. So, it's been a while since I've done the BoS route and I just recently completed the Tour of Duty quest and it also shows to be completed and I got the xp from it. Problem is that the next quest "Show no mercy" where you clear out Fort Strong is not starting. I never got the notification for it, it's not in my quest log and if I go to Maxon, he just stands in the room where he keeps the initial speech and just tells me that he's too busy to talk. Is this a bug or do I have to do something else first? I recall that the quest should start right after completing ToD quest.

At the actual main questline I'm at a point where I have to go to Memory Den with Nick and speak with Amari.

I also tried using the console to set stage to that quest to 10 but nothing happens. Reloading an earlier save isn't really an option either since I don't want to lose about 4h of gameplay.

    Any ideas?

  11. Does anybody know if a mod all ready exists or would it be possible to make settlements work so that all settlement workshops are automatically connected without having to create supply lines?

It's kinda tedious if you want to make a Minuteman character but don't want to invest heavily on charisma to create supply lines every time.

Or maybe a mod that allows the creation of supply lines without needing the Local Leader perk?

  12. SKSE should automatically load itself when you start the game. Mod installation works like any other mod (no additional steps due to SKSE).

SKSE don't start automatically. You have to start it with SKSE64 loader. This program load the dll plugins and start Skyrim. If you start Skyrim normal, than SKSE will not been loaded.

Awesome, thank you both :)

I suspected as much but wasn't sure about it.

  13. So, this might be a very dumb question but here goes. I'm new with SKSE and just recently got it with some help from tutorials but I haven't installed any mods yet that require SKSE. Question is that when I do decide to get a mod that requires it, do I have to do anything with the mod through SKSE itself or does the mod just work like any other mod installed through NMM/Vortex? So if I just download and activate the mod and have SKSE installed, the mod works jst like that?

  14. I was recently playing Fallout 4 and found a mod called "Beneficial nudity" by thehurtbear. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42630

Could it be possible to make a similar mod to SSE? I've had this idea of making a "primitive and wild" build with a wood elf who would basically live of the land, run around naked (because why not? :D) and generally avoid people and larger towns as much as possible but the big issue is that if you walk around without any apparel, you miss out a lot of possible enchanted gear.

The Fallout 4 version of this mod makes you more sneaky and gives a small charisma boost so maybe something similar might work in SSE? Maybe give the player e.g. extra 15% better sneaking and/or muffle while fully unclothed but still allow the player to wear jewelry?

Another idea could be to have mod that simply gives you invisible clothes that you could enchant. There might all ready be one but I wasn't able to find any.

Third idea might be something like "equipable war paint" or something like that that you could "wear" and enchant which would further increase the "primitive" look.

  15. I was wondering is it possible to make a mod (or is there already one) where the pip boy's flashlight color would always stay the same color regardless of what color you use in your pip boy?

I'm using Star Wars TIE Fighter Pip-Boy from doctrderp and it looks very cool with red pip boy color but I hate the red flashlight color and I would prefer it to be default green or pure white.

  16. NMM isn't officially supported anymore. But it is still kept up-to-date by fans. You can get the most recent version here:

    https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases

As for whether you should use Vortex or NMM, that depends. Do you want to continue where you left off when you stopped playing Skyrim with the mods you have already installed? Then continue using NMM. If you want to make a fresh start with a clean install of Skyrim then give Vortex a try.

    Alright, thank you!

I'm going to continue the use of NMM then since I don't feel like downloading all 74 mods again :D

  17. So I've been away from the world of Skyrim and modding some time now and came back once more. I noticed there's a new download manager "Vortex" available.

I still have the old NMM and I was wondering should I get Vortex instead and if so, will effect my already downloaded mods? I tried downloading couplse mods with NMM and it did work just fine.

    Appreciate the advice :)

  18. I don't know if this kind of mod already exists but I've been unable to find one.

Question here is; is there a mod that would make NPCs undress when they go to sleep much like in Skyrim mod Undress For Bed?

The idea here is not be a pervert and sneak peek people sleeping nude but the idea is that it looks really stupid when people go to sleep with their full body armor on. It's not immersive at all.

Another thing, if possible, would be an option to give NPCs a sleep outfit that they put on when they go to sleep and then redress themselves when they wake up.

  19. Hey. At least you can become a vampire. The last 2 times I tried, some kind of glitch kept everyone in Vokihar Castle telling me I wasn't one of "THEM". :pirate:

    Huh, weird.

That bug has never happened to me and I've become a volkihar vampire atleast six times by now.

Do you have the unofficial dawnguard patch?
