  1. Awesome. I'll give that a go tonight. Thanks a lot for your help N7R. :D
  2. Okay. I have one last idea. Just remembered something. Back when i first started to use the CK. It just stopped working too. Nothing was working. It wouldn't even load any of the windows of the CK. In the end I un-installed it and re-installed it. And it worked after that. I was up late working on a new rifle, so totally forgot about that. Give that a try and hopefully it'll sort it out for ya. *fingers crossed* Don't give up with modding. I was getting so frustrated in the beginning with the most smallest things. But i carried on. Now i'm onto nifscope and making new assets. :D
  3. The CK wont load up at all, or things like world spaces, interior cells, and items? If the CK wont load at all it's probably because it needs updating. Or could be net speeds. (Had both of those issues myself) If world space/interior cells wont load, or crashes. It could be a memory issue. I'm learning to mod, myself. I have made so many as i've been learning, That i've filled up my C: Drive completely lol. When i have low memory my CK is so slow and sluggish and crashes. Try to move some mods to your second driver (if you have one) and run them from there. If none of these things help, or your issue is something else. It could be your PC running some background programs. Most of the time when my CK has been a pain. It's been either net speeds dropping out or memory.
  4. Hey there. I thought about moving it in nifscope but i am still very much a learner. So didn't want to just click things. I created a new rifle using vanilla nifs of all kinds of parts. It works great. Animations work great. So i'm guessing it's the nifscope placement. The reciever and stock are one-in-the-same. So do i move both together, or will i have to move each nif part i've put into one nif file? Thanks for your help. :)
  5. Hey there. Recently i was making an AK rifle. But it was too glossy. I wanted a matte finish. After trying to change the normals dds file so many times without any luck. I changed the spec dds. I had used the emboss option in paint.net to get the sense of depth to the detailing. It was a very light grey. Silver almost. When i darkened the silver-ish spec dds. Low and behold my AK changed to matte. i now do this when i either want something matte, or glossy. I'm a 'lil late to the party, but just putting it out there. I hope you fixed your problem by now.
  6. I've been working on a new rifle for fallout 4 and nearly finished. I used the stock from the hunting rifle. Mod works perfectly so far. The only thing is the hand of the player is set back a way from the handle and trigger. How can i fix this little problem? I don't want to release my work until 100% perfect. So any help and tips will help greatly. Thank you for your time. - Luke.

  8. You need to set your new part as a child to your parent helmet. Click the top node of the helmet. Scroll down to where it says children. Lets say your helmet had one child. Double click on the number of children (1 child) and set it to two. You'll notice in the children list it'll say two children but one is blank. Double click the blank child and set it to the number of the new part. You'll notice your new part will set itself within the node
  9. Oh i'm sorry i forgot to state which game. I'm re-texturing the handmade rifle from fallout 4 - Nuka World.
  10. Hello. I've been working on a re-texture on the handmade rifle. And it's a beauty so far. The problem is, it's a little shiney. Too shiney for the look i'm going for. No matter how much i play with the Normals.DDS it's still a little shiney. Removing the Normals helps a tiny bit. But not much. How do i fix this issue? I would like to get the weapon a black matt finish. Not a glossy finish. Thank you for your time.
  11. Sorry. Ps: do you think i should model the bolt seprately from the body and nifscope it in?
  12. Awesome. Thank you for that. I thought that's how it's done. I'm getting pretty good at the modeling (using a png as a base in blender to work from) i just didn't want to move on with the project until i knew without a doubt i had to build parts and assemble in nifscope. (The vids i've been using to learn from failed to mention modeling certain parts seperately.) Thank you for your advice and your reply. I'm excited now lol. *notes taken*
  13. Hey there. I need a few tips before I move on with a Blender project. I've recently been playing around with Blender to create a new rifle for Fallout 4. I've been following videos on how to etc etc. But what I need to know is: Do I make the gun parts seperately? Barrel, stock etc. Or do I make it one part like how the guys in the videos are doing so? The reason I ask is that all the guns in fallout 4 are broken up into parts with their own nifs and textures etc. So, should i make the receiver, barrel, iron sights and stock all seperately (then obviously set the attach points in nifscope etc) Any tips or advice on this and blender as a whole would be greatly welcome. Thank you.
  14. So, I'm new to modding, but learning fast. I've made an interior cell and have turned it into a player home. But I also want it to be a settlement too. I've done all the things I was meant to do. The right workshop, Gave it a location, NavMesh etc. But I cannot work out how to actually get settlers to show up. I can build a settler radio beacon in game. But, settlers simply wont show up. I need advice on how to get them to show. What did I miss? Side-note: The option to build a food/drink store is missing from the in game build menu, But all other stores are in the menu. Secondly: I have a diner inside my player home/settlement. I would like to turn a table into a store, so you can assign a settler to it. But I can't for the life of me find out how to do this. Any ideas? Any help, tips, advice would help me out greatly. Thank you for your time. ~LukeCraw. PS: I hope I have posted this in the right section. If I haven't, I'm sorry.
  15. Hello. I really need some help before I go mad haha. So. I'm new to modding. So everything is new to me. And just when I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, I hit a huge brick wall. Huge to me, probably tiny to a pro. But anyway. I wanted to create a settlement/player home. I link up the workbench to the build area and a few other things. To find out that my items such as beds fall trough the floor, but I fixed that. I can now place a bed in game. But the issue is, it's invisible. I can place it, sit on it etc, but can't see it at all. I'm unable to find a fix or a tip. Another thing I need to find out is, what's the keyword i need to use to link a power armor workbench to my workshop workbench? Please, any help or tips anybody can give me would help me greatly. Thank you. Peace.
