I think I have a version of this somewhere on my computer. I was trying to include some more body horror in my Cruelty Squad mod, and one of the things that I workshopped was the ability to activate a corpse and create a duplicate of the NPC that follows you around. Assumedly, one could simply append the SetRace command to turn them into ghouls (although their noses would be all f*#@ed) and that'd be your zombie mod. There were a few limitations, however; Because I wanted them to function like full NPCs, they had to have specific packages and records in-game which made having a zombie army infeasible. Never figured out CCC compatibility for them, either. Additionally, I'm pretty sure they break with anything that adds non-vanilla races. It's a whole headache to do that. Now if you wanted something like Robotician, and just stapled it to humans instead of robots, that COULD be done, but it wouldn't be the face of the one you resurrected. I believe RobCo Certified had a version of this that allowed you to create Lobotomites, including Deathclaw Lobotomites, but that mod is old as sin and unsupported at last blush. I may have canned the whole project, though.

Infinite Black Screen on entering Riften
Squidfest replied to Squidfest's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Update: I turned off a few mods and it works now. I have my suspicions that it was an NPC overhaul mod, Immortan. EDIT: Confirmed, Immortan was the culprit, either it or the Synthesis patch I generated to try to fix the horrible facegen errors it had. Case closed! -
Infinite Black Screen on entering Riften
Squidfest replied to Squidfest's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
See, and that's what's weird. I went into xEdit and I checked what if any changes were affecting Riften and everything, superficially, appears in order. And since it's persisting on a new save it has to be not just one save being bad. Only things of any consequence I've installed are Northern Roads and its patches and the 10th Anniversary release of Grey Cowl. -
Bit of a heavy list, I know. I'm not new to modding by any stretch, and many of the conflicting mods here are disabled (MO2 doesn't let you just export the mods you have ACTIVE AFAIK), but I'm having a frustrating glitch where when I enter Riften, I get an infinite black screen. I will hear my character load in (i.e. the door closing and the ambience/music starts) but then the whole game hangs there. Really annoying. Anything jump out at anyone that might be causing this? For the record, it's not save-related. I started a new character and when I try to enter Riften under any circumstances, it does the same thing. Door close, music begins, black screen.

Recently I was informed that a feature I already thought was present in TCC (More specifically its MoreHUD Inventory Edition integration) is not and has never been a thing: appending the Artifact Found/Held/Displayed tags to the inventory menu. See, specifically things in the Hall of Wonders, Armory, and/or Library are often sold by merchants in the world, but there's no easy way to tell at a glance what you have/need without individually scrolling through every item to see the mark on the item card. Now Quickloot IE/EE does have this feature, but only in the Quickloot menu. Which creates a weird paradigm where it is easier to determine if an item is required and/or displayed from, say, a corpse than it is from your own inventory. My mod idea is fairly simple: combine the two formats. Append the little icon which determines the item's Display status onto the item as listed in the menu. If I had even the faintest understanding of how UI mods and/or SKSE work, I would attempt to do so myself, but I don't and thus I shall scream my plea into the cosmos in hopes that one of you modding savants can figure it out. Thank you for your consideration! (Images credited, top to bottom: my own screenshot, QuickLoot EE (Outdated)

As far as I can tell, few if any mods can be merged with Wyre Bash due to unhandled forms. Nevertheless, I made a merged patch with what I could and intend to test it. As for AWKCR and Armorsmith, both are compatible.

So I have been trying for weeks to get a smooth playthrough of Sim Settlements: Conqueror with the Children of Atom faction pack. I want to play as a radical Atomite hell-bent on bringing all others to heel. After hours upon hours of flailing wildly and pulling my hair out, I have come to the hallowed forum to seek guidance. The game crashes without rhyme or reason, sometimes on load and sometimes a few instants after loading, or sometimes not at all. This is my load order in its entirety. Mods which do not have an associated ID number are inactive. If anyone can assist me, they will be a glorious servant of Atom and I will kneel before their almighty wisdom.

I'm a big dumb stupid idiot and I accidentally deleted the last time I tried to iterate this. Short version: I want to make a follower mod but have neither the patience nor the talent to work the CK in any meaningful way. I am, however, a reportedly "funny" individual who takes pride in acting and writing. If someone can handle the technical BS, I'd like to publish a follower mod with custom voice acting. I will provide the voice, script, and storyline, I just need someone who is good at the technical stuff. Now, onto the character itself. Saul was Nate/Nora's (whichever one doesn't make it) father and the Sole Survivor's father-in-law. While his wife and child are long gone, his in-law (whom he has a great deal of distaste for) is alive and well in the Commonwealth. Two hundred years have not been kind to the Ghoul's demeanor as he is prone to fits of anger and inappropriate emotional responses to tragedy, a coping mechanism he developed. As the player progresses with Saul, his stubborn demeanor bleeds away and he finally accepts that the in-law he never cared for is his last true family member, and therefore worth protecting and cherishing. However, Saul was a sarcastic and crass man before the war. Now, after two hundred years of solitude, survival, and chemical damage, he's a regular quipster with no filter. I have at least 60 original flavor lines concocted for idle chitchat, and I plan on more for the final product. SO IN CONCLUSION I need help making a dream come true, and I've decided to swallow my pride and ask for help rather than let it die like so many other dreams before it. Thank you, Squidfest P.S.: I feel like a total tool describing myself as "funny" and "a good writer." My mom insists I'm both, though, and you're not calling my mom a liar, are you?

Alright, guys, I'm new around here. And I love Fallout 4 to death. Last night I was masturbating to Todd Howard's face when I had a brilliant idea for a quest/companion mod. Hear me out: After things go nuclear, Nate/Nora thinks "oh s#*!, my entire extended family is long-dead. My poor relatives!" This isn't strictly true, however. Somewhere, deep in Massachusetts, there's a little house where the Sole Survivor's in-laws lived. Upon discovering it, however, it seems that the father-in-law, Shaun's grandfather, is now a feral ghoul. Despite being trapped in the body of a feral, Grandpa recognizes you and decides to help out in whatever ways his primitive mind can concoct. The result is a shambling, inarticulate companion-for-life, who instead of requiring adult diapers will now devour the flesh of your opponents and eagerly carry whatever garbage you pick up in town. If anyone at all can see the comedic potential for such a mod, hit me up! I'd love to have permanent feral ghoul companion, and I feel like giving it a backstory would be even better.
