Proof that a player can fly in Skyrim well may be more like swimming
Krawll replied to hex_ratt's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
When i first saw this mod, first thing i could think about is this . I'm posting this image here hoping that it will serve as a motivation for the modders who have the knowledge to make it happen lol. :P http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk300/Krawll02/20796-dragon-riders.jpg -

I'm glad to see that flying is finaly possible but i won't be using this as it is though. And since i'm not a modder i won't be trying to improve it myself eihter . I just wish someone comes up with the right stuff to make it possible to fly as a dragon since there are mods that allow you to morph into dragons. And i beleive that Dragon mounts are also already out there but the flight isn't controled by player. I can already see myself fighting flying dragons on a Dragon mount lol , thats gonna be Epic once it's possible. Plus if someone makes it possible to cast spells or shoot arrows while riding a flying dragon it would be even more Epic. Aaarrghh patience is a virtue that i'm totally missing lol. Krawll -
The vigilents of Stendarr are not all that good . They're kinda like the Silver Hand, they're extremists. They fight with what they consider as " Good intentions " but they'll often cross the limits of good in order to kill what they consider to be Evil. The Blades are the same, they beleive that all dragons are Evil so they want Paarthunax dead and there is no way to make them understand that he's a good dragon. It doesn't matter if he helped me kill Alduin , he's a dragon he doesn't deserve to live. I pretty much see the Vigilents of Stendarr as the same kind of organisation , only instead of fighting Werewolves like the Silver Hand or Dragons like the Blades, they fight the Daedra. If you realy feel the need to roleplay your paladin, choose yourself one of the Good divines , visit his or her temples once in a while , make offerings at his/her shrine just for the sake of role play and receive their blessings and then go fight evil in his/her name . Now it wouldn't surprise me that since the creation kit is out, someone might eventualy come up with a new faction of Templars or Paladins and they would be joinable and offer quests and stuff like that . I'm sure it's doable , we just need one or more of the good modders to actualy feel like doing it . Krawll

I'm in canada and couldn't watch the youtube vid but the Vimeo link worked fine. Was a pretty cool vid but you seemed to be using shouts a lot more than you should be able to . Whirlwind Sprint only a few seconds after a DragonRend doesn't seem very legit to me lol. Anyways , the vid was still definatly enjoyable . Was a pretty Epic fight none the less. Thanks for sharing Krawll

My guess is that if there were quests involving riding a boat into the open sea , modders would've probably been inspired into creating pirates and sea creatures and other stuff related to living on the ocean but since boats are nothing more than motionless buildings that basicly serve no real purpose in the game other than eye candy, chances are that no one will feel realy inspired by anything pirate related . And besides, this forum doesn't support piracy lol :P Bad joke i know , sorry ... Krawll

pls what? :s my english is very bad ^^ He means , when you press escape, the version of the game will show in the same window where you can (save / load) your games. And i'm pretty sure it's in the bottom left corner.
-
Well they were right. When you press escape, the window that opens shows the current version in the bottom left corner . At least it was there the last time i checked lol.

I've played many different characters so far and found a way to become powerfull with each one of them. I tried 1 handed with shield and it's great, i've tried 2 handed and it's also great . I've tried being sneaky and it's also great. I've tried mage characters and it's also great . I mean , if you know what you're doing and you spend your points in the right areas for the type of characters you're playing, any variations of builds can be good. I can't answer your main question and tell you what the difference is between 1 handed and 2 handed in terms of numbers, i've never looked at it that way. I just know that 2 handed builds can own anything . You kill stuff a lot faster with a two handed weapon than you do with a 1 handed but while using 1 handed and shield you're a lot more resistant to damage and you get some moves and abilities using the shield so eihter way works just fine . Just pick a style and start killing .

NPCs don't always pick up stuff you drop but they sometimes do. I'm not sure how it works but i guess it depends on what you drop and who is near you when you drop it . The only place where people will fight over the stuff you drop is in Riften and i think you have to drop something valuable for them to do it. Something like a gem or an enchanted weapon . I didn't rely beleive that Droping a torch in riften would cause a brawl , i was simply being sarcastic. The point of my previous post was that if you have no use for torches, just don't loot them. Trying to make a profit out of selling torches is a total waste of time.
-
They do have a value, so I should be able to get some gold for them, just like with the lower tier arrows, if my barter skill is high enough, which it should be now. I just need to know WHERE to sell them. The Merchant perk lies about being able to sell 'any' item to any merchant, since it doesn't allow me to sell torches. I've tried dropping them once, but an NPC that was nearby was kind enough to go pick them up and give them back, saying "I think you dropped this!"... This game doesn't seem to want to let me get rid of them. xD drop them outside of town, i realy doubt that the nearest fox will pick it up for you. Or drop them in riften, people are all thieves so they won't bother giving them back, they might even fight eachother over the stuff you drop. Seriously, when i play a character that doesn't need torches, i simply don't bother looting them.

Everytime i go to High Hrothgar i have to look around a bit to find Arngeir. He often goes into the tower outside to pray. Sometimes they're all sitting at the big table eating. Sometimes i just can't find him anywhere and then right out of the blue, i bump into him in a place i've already looked 4-5 times before. He realy likes to move around a lot so just keep looking till you find him . Krawll

New Nvidia driver promises better Skyrim performance
Krawll replied to MrBuio's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'm using a Nvidia GTX 285 and decided to try it after reading this post earlier and i do confirm it . It does seem to make my game run smoother. Not that i was realy having any problems before downloading it but i did see a difference . Thanks for the heads up. Krawll -
I agree that the Dragon plate and scare armors look pretty bad but it's not necessarily an end game thing though. It's rather easy to get your smithing skill up and be a master Smith before reaching lvl 30. Even before lvl 20 if you're realy into it .

Why the stupid horse keep returning to the stables?
Krawll replied to kurecore's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Shadowmere can die , trust me i killed him once because he annoyed me as hell for always attacking my ennemies and getting in my way. But it did take me an awefully high amount of time to take him down. He's just not a normal mortal horse. He has a very fast health regeneration which makes him nearly invincible but not entirely. -

Krawll replied to kurecore's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well normaly a horse that you purchased legaly doesn't act like that . I mean if you steal a horse or simply hop on any stray horse that you find, he will always return to where you found him whenever you dismount him. But when you purchase a horse he will usualy stay in the area where you left him. And if you fast travel, he should spawn right next to you unless you fast travel to an area where horses are not allowed. So i'm guessing you probably didn't buy the horse . And if you realy did purchase him from the stables then i don't know . But if you realy care about having a good horse, try getting Frost or Shadowmere . They are the two best horses in the game and they don't wander away everytime you dismount them.
