Nexus Mods Profile

  1. I don't see the correlation between Steam Workshop and "pirates", unless you're saying that people are pirating free mods. I use NMM and Skyrim purchased via Steam, but good luck with whatever statement you're trying to make. That is my hope and I do appreciate that mod'ers such as yourself are willing to jump out there on the bleeding edge to help and improve SW. It is pretty easy to avoid the "adult" stuff here, but I suppose the temptation is too great for some, so to each his own.
  2. Paid DLC Content in 2012, 2013 for Skyrim ...or... wait for Elder Scrolls VI... shipping in 2017? (or whenever) I'll take the former. And 1 week for a dev to prototype a cool idea translates to weeks, if not months of dev and QA time to bake it into the rest of the game and test it.
  3. Like most anything, I'll let Steam Workshop get an update or two under its belt before I try it.
  4. I just upgraded from a 5770 to a 6870. The 6870 does seem smoother than the 5770, but at 1680x1050 it isn't a dramatic difference in Skyrim. I've been happy with the stability and performance of the recent ATI cards, but I typically don't buy games until after a few patches have been released.
  5. Lydia and I got bum-rushed by some bandits, we killed 3 of them, a fourth steps in behind us with his bow drawn and immediately gets plowed over by a swinging log booby-trap (somehow Lydia and the other 3 bandits managed to not set it off when they entered the room). I don't think it was a scripted event, but it couldn't have been timed any more perfectly timed if it was scripted.
  6. Trying to draw a parallel to the browser wars is a bit absurd. As long as they don't restrict one from installing mods independent of Steam, then I don't see a problem. Right now, even with NMM, installing and updating mods is a bit of a science project. With the popularity of Skyrim, this is a great opportunity to get more folks playing mods and for Steam to really show off the benefits of PC gaming.
  7. Nope. I've noticed no such issues running the 1.4 beta.
  8. Ok the new version works now... last night the 0.14.1 update was crashing everytime I ran it and I reverted to the previous version.
  9. Images are working for me finally on skyrim.nexusmods.com I still can't log in to the Mod Manager application however :(
  10. I still have no images... I use OpenDNS and flushed my DNS cache (Chrome/OSX and IE/W7).
  11. Images aren't loading for those of us in the outside world at skyrim.nexusmods.com either. Every one has that infamous little red "x". I went back and reinstalled the working version of Nexus Mod Manager and I can't log in with it. It keeps telling me my login information is not valid... even though these same credentials work on the website and in the forums.
  12. I just opened Nexus Mod Manager and it auto-updated... now everytime I try to run it, it crashes immediately after the splash screen :( The skyrimnexus.com site seems to be having troubles... no graphics other than ads are loading.
