  1. A User Interface system similar to Fallout 3/NV that displays the Weight and Value of a item when placing the cursor over it before you pick it up.
  2. I was looking under the Gameplay and User Interface tabs but I haven't managed to find one that was what I was looking for. Basically I'm searching for a Fallout 4 mod that allows you to see Weight and Value of an item before you grab it similar to Fallout 3 and NV. Does anyone know of a mod that allows this? Thanks.
  3. Hello, I use a DualShock4 controller to play the Steam version of Skyrim Special Edition on PC. I'm using the latest version of SKSE with the following mods handled through Vortex mod manager: Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch SMIM Sky UI SKSE64 Skyrim HD - 2K Textures Skyrim Flora Overhaul Realistic Water Two FNIS Enhanced Lights and FX The problem that I'm having is that in game there seems to be a difference in look sensitivity on the X axis (left and right) and Y axis (up and down). The in-game menu sensitivity slider doesn't have an option to change the X and Y axis sensitivities separately and instead affects them both. However the Y axis sensitivity is extremely slow and clunky and the X axis is much more fast in comparison. There also seems to be a bit of aim acceleration and mouse smoothing feel when I move the right joystick to look around that makes the aiming feel not very good. Is there any mod I could download or perhaps some INI pref tweaks I could change or insert to solve these issues and make my playing experience more enjoyable? I'd be glad to answer any questions that I'm able to. I look forward to any and all advice. Thanks for reading. - ThoughtShift
  4. Hello thank you for your reply. I appreciate your advice and I will look into those but I think mostly what I was referring to is fixing it from an in game standpoint. I read that on the PC version there are INI tweaks that you could make that would disable the aim-acceleration/mouse smoothing feel when you look around. My problem is that I play the game on console (PS4) and I was wondering is it possible to tinker with the game in that way on this platform? The PS4 version of Fallout 4 has tons of mods available to download from the menu screen but I haven't seen any for this issue. Is it even possible that a modder could make one that would fix this or is it just something that console players will have to live with?
  5. Are there currently any mods available on the PS4 version of Fallout 4 that fixes the awful aim acceleration/mouse smoothing problem that make the aiming feel horrible? One that possibly lets the player play with raw input instead?
  6. I'm trying to play this game with a PS4 controller on the PS4 console version of Fallout 4 but the game by default has this terrible issue with the aiming that I think is called aim acceleration or mouse smoothing. Either way it feels awful and I prefer raw input. I looked to see if there was a console mod that could fix it and it looks like there isn't. Is there any way for me to fix this on console or am I just screwed out of luck? Thanks.
  7. I'm new to modding this game and wanted to ask some of the more experienced players here what would you consider the essential mod list for someone that was wanting the closest to an enhanced vanilla version of this game? I have the Steam version of the game and I want to play with a controller (I noticed the game doesn't really have true controller support). I would like to have a modern stable version with bug fixing and stability, maybe some graphical and quality of life enhancements but for it to still deliver as close to the same experience as the vanilla release. By this I mean nothing that breaks the lore or anything like that. Thanks and I look forward to seeing your suggestions. :)
  8. I was able to resolve the issue by using the "Aim Sensitivity" mod by polbashkisnelso. It normally doesn't work with a gamepad but thanks to Steam Big Picture mode controller configuration I was able to find a work around for it. Thank you for your suggestion though!
  9. Ok, I'll look into that then. I didn't know about Blackened, that seems like a good alternative to FOIP. I always try to make sure and read mod instructions on each mod's page but it didn't say anything about the Vortex issue so I was kinda stumped. And yeah you're right there's lots of information here that I need to be sure to check out. Thanks for all your help.
  10. I got frustrated with it and went ahead and started my new character without it. If I were to install it now the way you instructed would I have to make a new character or would it work my existing one?
  11. I'm trying to install FWE 6.0 with Vortex and it's giving me issues. When I try to download Part 1 I get an error message from Vortex telling me "Archive invalidation does not appear to be active. This mod requires it to be activated in order to work correctly. Please make sure to use the Toggle Invalidation feature available on the main form after installing this mod. Would you like to abort this installation so you may do so now?" with an option to select yes or no. If I choose yes it aborts the installation and I don't know what to do. I have "Archive Invalidation" toggled on "Yes" on my Vortex dashboard as well as bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 in my ini file. If I choose no it goes ahead and tries to install FWE and launches the Setup menu. After completing the setup it says "Install successful". So I proceed to install Part 2 and the HOTFIX PATCH along with 3 FOIP compatibility patches (EVE and FWE, Project Beauty and FWE, and WMK and FWE). After all that, I launch the game and my game is pretty much broken. It goes through the Please Stand By and Bethesda slides and then when it goes to the title screen it's just a picture of the power armor helmet with no options for "Continue, New, Load, Settings, etc" it's just a unresponsive screen with menu music playing. I am at a dead end with this and I have no idea what to do to fix it. I have all my other mods working correctly except for FWE and I really wanted to start a new playthrough with this mod since it has so many fresh new cool features. I know for sure the problem is with FWE possibly clashing with Vortex or having a problem with Archive Invalidation. If I uninstall FWE and the FOIP stuff my game works perfectly fine with the other 20 or so mods I have enabled. Is this a well known issue with Vortex and FWE conflicting or am I doing something wrong? I've heard others say to use FOMM with FWE but I really prefer the simplicity and convenience of Vortex and would like to have this resolved if possible. Thank you for reading and any advice or insight you guys may have!
  12. Update: I was able to fix this problem through controller configuration in Steam Big Picture Mode.
  13. I went ahead and manually installed NVAC and it's working great. However I have one last issue that I've been trying to resolve for the past few days. I have Iron Sights Plus mod enabled and working but I'm trying to find a way to separate the sensitivity for when you're looking around versus the sensitivity when you're aiming down your sights. I looked and there doesn't seem to be a mod for Fallout 3 that does this. The only one close is this one - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18994. And after reading it's description and tinkering with it in game I can't seem to get it to work. I use a gamepad controller with the steam version of Fallout 3 for reference. This issue is easily fixed with IStewieAI's Tweaks on Fallout:New Vegas however on Fallout 3 there doesn't seem to be an option for it and no mod that I've experimented with has done the trick.
  14. Hello, I recently downloaded the "Aim Sensitivity" mod by polbashkisneslo for Fallout 3. I use a controller to play the steam version of FO3. I was wanting to lower my aiming sensitivity without affecting my looking/turning speed. After downloading the mod and reading the description page I'm not sure how to make this mod work properly. When I interact with the configuration tool in my pip-boy it doesn't seem to be changing my aiming sensitivity. I'm sort of at a dead end with this and I was hoping someone could help me out. Link to the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18994 Thanks! edit: I reached out to the creator of the mod and they confirmed that you must be using a third-party tool that maps buttons to keyboard keys to make it work with a controller (so it emulates respective keypress when you hold aiming button/trigger on your controller as if you were using keyboard instead).
  15. Earlier in your recommendations I saw that you included NVAC. I had no idea that mod worked for FO3 so it's a pleasant surprise. Is there any way I can use vortex with that mod for FO3 or is it only possible to include it through manual installation? Also is there any way to speed up the 3rd person vanity cam? It's really slow and it takes a long time to rotate it to look at my character.
