Considering your PC specs it should go perfectly well, expect the Graphic Card I share similar hardware, and I can easily run 3DS Max, ZBrush, Photoshop and the Creation Kit altogether without any kind of hard lags, you might wanna try consulting the CK's troubleshooting wiki.
Thanks, I'll do that.
Also, thanks for providing me with peace of mind about my hardware specs XD

I accept that loading the whole skyrim master file takes time, but everything in the CK is painfully slow, duplicating an object for example means that I have to wait 20 seconds for the CK to start responding again... opening the edit menu takes an age.
To be honest, if this can't be solved I'm considering not bothering with skyrim modding anymore.
Also my specs are reasonably good.
second gen i7 quad core 2.0ghz
4gb ram
ATI 6490m (ok this is bad I admit :P )
Is there anything I can do, or is it just the CK?

After completing all the deadric quests, I felt a bit empty, "so I'm just meant to go spreading the love and joy of the Deadric Lords now am I?"
One quest for each deadric Lord isn't enough, I would love to have a whole guild length questline for each Lord (with more artifacts) and then possibly have an ongoing 'quest' after the questline is finished.
The intention is to keep it semi-lore friendly. By that I mean, the quests will be suitable for all of the Deadric Lords, but I want to keep the right to use some poetic licence, hopefully nothing too extreme.
The hope of this thread is to get someone willing to take over the technical aspects of this mod, I would still want to head the creative side (if the techy is happy with that) of the mod and I could help with some modeling of artifacts.
If no one is willing to do this I shall attempt to get started myself, but progress will no doubt be slow.
If you want to help, send me a PM or post in the thread.
Also, if you have ideas, post in the thread, it would be nice to see what you think of this idea.

Played with it for a bit, got it to where the players perspective is low, and sneak is boosted, could only move at walking speed, disabled third person and reduced weapom spread.. but game crashes when getting up sometimes, moving sometimes makes you fall through terrain, and the player holds gun too high above ground. Trying to work out these kinks when I can, but real life takes up a lot of time.
Darn really life, ruins all the fun.
Thanks for attempting this, even without 3rd person it'd be great, the whole point was for sniping, and I use 1st for sniping anyway.

Try this. Gopher is a mad modder and taught me near everything bout basic Fallout modding. Find his video bout adding custom weapons.
Edit:
Try this
Mod Master part 1: Making custom weapons
Hope that gets you a step in the right direction.

This is the tutorial that I followed to make the weapon, but I'm stuck actually putting it into the game.

Hi guys
Sorry if this has been posted already, but I've decided to turn my hand to modding, I've made the weapon that I want to put into fallout (it's a musket) but I don't know what to do to get it in (the file format is Nif.
also, how do I add a custom firstperson object model into GECK?
Thanks for your help

Skyrim creation kit is painfully slow...

I think in that case I'll upgrade my ram to 8, Since I'm new to the CK I'm following tutorials and asking friends on skype at the same time. The problem is mostly the CK stops responding when ever I try to place a block, open it's properties, duplicate it or do anything else remotely functional.
It's also frustrating that the CK can't use more than 2 cores, my i7 is fine for anything else, such as rendering blender files in 4k... :/
