I can only hope it's the navmesh bug they fixed. I doubt it, though.

  2. BTW you and lnsentience will have to better explain HOW it distorts the figure, cause I'm not seeing how. Whether your a member or not, by downloading and not endorsing, the Ratio is lowered.

    Do you agree with that???

tetradite explained it well. I have nothing more to add.
  3. Very good point...thanks for making me aware of the lack of membership issue...I would have never thought to consider that. However, the ratio still applies since these users aren't taking the time to register so they can Endorse.
    No.

    It doesn't.

If you want a mod, you download it. If you have to make an account to download a mod, you'd make an account.

But nobody is going to bother registering an account just to endorse. Endorsing a mod doesn't benefit the downloader in any way. All the downloader wants to do is mod his game and leave.

Registered users (in general) care more about the modder. They want to keep the modder interested in working on the mod. So they endorse.

In conclusion, the majority of downloads are from people who don't give a damn about anything other than downloading the mod. This invalidates the ratio.

  4. How you read that into my post is beyond me. I said no such thing

You didn't say it, but you sure as hell implied it:

This goes some ways to explain things but, still, less than 4% for mods that require an account to D/L? That's still not so good. Geez peeps, the site shouldn't have to change its procedures to make endorsing easier. It's pretty easy as it is and a bit of effort is a small price to pay considering there' NO price to pay.

  5. You don't need to bother spoiler tagging it. Users would want to know if they're having this problem.

    I'll ask the obvious questions:

1- Use different speakers/headphones. Still hear it?

2- Do you only hear it during the game?

3- Did you install any mods (even non-sound mods as they could screw up something)?

Your saying it's an obligation for people to endorse mods they download. People endorse mods they like. They're not going to endorse a mod to support the modder if they don't like the mod itself.
  7. SkyUI mod size: ~1250 kb

Deadly Dragons mod size: ~50 mb

You can download mods without an account on Nexus. However, you have to register an account on this site if you want to download mods that're greater than 2 mb in file size. That means that anybody can download SkyUI, but you have to have an account to download Deadly Dragons.

To endorse a mod, you have to have an account on Nexus. It doesn't matter how big or small the mod file size is, you have to be logged in to endorse a file.

Your 'Endorsement Ratio' doesn't cover this. A large portion of the SkyUI downloads were by people without accounts, and if you can download the mod without registering, why bother registering just to endorse?

  8. Companies want diligence before creativity. Creativity costs resources and money. If Bethesda wasn't limited to whatever budget they had or wasn't limited to one CD, they'd make Skyrim so good, that modifying it would be pointless.
  9. The poll is really surprising me! So far it has not turned out anything like I had expected. I expected more focus on quests and maybe lore, but it seems polish and immersion is even more important to some people. I look forward to seeing the poll when there are 30+ votes

Mod that adds tons of new content < Mod that doesn't break the entire game
  10. try the ' top mods' list under the 'Files' tab. These will be the most recomended as they are the most popular.

That's the fun part of mods - You are not restricted to what someone else thinks is interesting
    This made me laugh.
