  1. Ok I will try gamebooster, is it freeware? And the name superherohype doesnt mean anything to me lol sounds like something I would be interested in though. Why do you ask? Does it somehow relate to my username?
  2. That sounds a lot like whats happening to me, only my specs are higher and I still have the problems. Sucks aye. Yeah I have very little lag in dungeons too.
  3. Thanks for the tips. Im using microsoft security essentials free. My firewall, the default windows one I think. Not sure if I have an antirootkit or not, my guess is no I dont. To be honest I'm a bit of a noob with this type of stuff so I will try my best. Hopefully its pretty straight forward.
  4. Still havent resolved these issues. have been playing with it like this for a month now. I'm pretty sure its not skyrim any more because Its happening in other games. might have to nuke my machine and re-install window FFFFFUUUU :wallbash:
  5. I still have have no compass or crosshair... Ive been playing without one for a month. no idea whats happened to them.
  6. No problem. hopefully this is the fix. Although upon installing iHud the compass has disappeared it wouldn't toggle on or off, I could change the toggle key but it would do nothing. which is the reason I un-installed iHud in the first place, only to have the compass and cross hair still be missing. But I will try re-installed again, see if the toggle works.
  7. @flummox I have done that, I mentioned this in my original post. it was set to 1 already.
  8. I have been having a similar problem, not exactly the same but I high specs too and am getting a very laggy experience. Have a read through my topic if you like, people have suggested some useful things, none have helped me as of yet but maybe something in there can help you. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/781821-8-gig-of-ram-3-gig-of-graphic-memorya-nice-processor-only-like-50-mods-skyrim-should-be-flying/
  9. Oh s*** Im having the exact same problem, Im gonna try remove 7k Whiterun also. Good to know.
  10. Nope that hasn't done it. Actually it has made the some stuff come back, but I still have no compass or crosshair. Im starting to get use to playing without them, makes the game a lot harder though. There must be some way to get them back, It seems like it would be something simple I just cant figure it out
  11. Thanks for all the support and helpful feed back so far guys, I appreciate it. I'm determined to get this thing working properly. Here's a video of how my game looks while playing. Im using no ENBs or HD textures in this video and am running on high setting not ultra. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDI7i3sia54 As you can see it's not completely unplayable in fact at times it seems ok, but you can also see how 'immersion breaking' all those ugly fps drops can be. I'm not really happy with it considering the money I have spent on my pc. What do you guys think? am I being to picky?
  12. Thanks for the tip  I did have some ENB files I missed when un-installing and I also removed that d3d9.dll file but it hasn't fixed my fps problem.
  13. Nice specs you have there, almost identical to mine, except i have 2 7950's and you have the 1090t whicjh i think can be OC to 3.6ghz with turbo http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif its easy to do if you have decent mobo. you can get the app that allows you to OC it safely, as its the Maximum manufacturer default OC allowed without experimenting of course. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif With my experience i bet your oc will be as stable as mine and use maybe 130watt compared to 125Watt be default. Might give you that boost you need for Skyrim mods http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif Yea cool man, I haven't done OCing before. Whats the app called that you mentioned? I would like to give it a go. My motherboard is ASUS M4A89GTD-PRO/USB3 would that be all good?

  15. Have you tried to increase the amount of RAM the game uses? I have been having some issues running skyrim smoothly but I haven't been able to get to the bottom of it yet. But you might like to try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHq41ZvLILQ There is a link in the video description to download the explorer suit. Sorry if you already know about this.
