  1. +1 I would love a mod like this. We really do need the option to be able to place multiple custom markers. There is a lot to explore and visit in this game and it helps keep tabs on it all.
  2. And many times modders do a much better job. That is a very good perspective I didn't even consider
  3. I know this topic is kind of old now, but is anyone still really really really let down that there won't be anymore DLC content for Skyrim? I would rather have more effort on Skyrim DLC content than an Elder Scrolls online game, but I know not many share that opinion with me. Is there any news that would cheer up a fellow Elder Scrolls fan?
  4. - Compatibility: I think Bethesda could do much more to remove notorious glitches before the game is officially launched. It could even go further to make the game 100% friendly for modding compatibility. - Lonely Skyrim: I think one of the things that would make ES VI much better than its predecessors is to have a LARGE array of random encounters to keep the environment interactive and alive. I'm not just talking about a few more sabre cats between forests, but some much more complicated elements. I sadly always finish an ES game faster than I would have liked so more post-main storyline material is desparately needed. - Dragons: They were such an awesome element, and honestly I kind of hope they come back in at least some smaller form, ESPECIALLY since Bethesda decided to can all their remaining DLC ideas for Skyrim. I will truly miss the dragon-lore. I of course second all the above improvement ideas too ^^^
  5. Ever since the 1.9 patch, I have noticed that the civil war camps do not respawn anymore after 10 days. Has anyone else noticed or experienced this? I've tried stripping skyrim of all mods and doing a new game and a fresh install. Has it always been this way? UESPwiki seemed to say that the camps used to respawn after 10 days... so I have no idea. Actually there is one more thing. The wounded soldiers and the horses respawn in stormcloak/imperial camps, but oddly, nothing else.
  6. *I meant to reply to this thread, and put this one accidentally in the old lydia follower thread* I can probably help solve and explain all of this. For those of you who indicate the problem with Frea, it starts with her and then becomes a problem with all followers. Basically with some mod, etiher UFO, my home is your home, etc, the stopquest dialoguefollower line is not properly ran. So here is the solution to getting everything working with your original followers again if you have my exact problem. Unfortunately Frea seems glitched for now with any sort of follower modding, so whenever you try to use her with UFO, MHYH, etc. this inability to dismiss her will occur again. 1) Talk to frea, or followers you have and dismiss them (at this point they will still be following you) 2) open console, type "stopquest dialoguefollower" 3) close console, and your follower will start walking away. 4) NOW, go to a room where you are not near a follower, type "set playerfolowercount to 0" and then type "startquest dialoguefollower" 5) save the game, exit to the main menu, and reload that game SO now your followers should be working, but as soon as your use Frea again you will have to repeat the same thing. This has been my experience at least. I hope this helps.
  7. *I posted this in the wrong thread. Please ignore. I am refering to Frea, but hey maybe this will help you anyway :D* I can probably help solve and explain all of this. 8. All followers in my game will not follow me through a door to a new load area ever since the 1.9 patch for Skyrim. I've seen people have this problem with custom followers when they do not edit the nav mesh correctly, but since it is affecting all followers in every place, I'm thinking it's more complicated than that. I only have two mods that affect followers: UFO and My Home is Your Home I'm going to try reverting to some way older saves to see if that still might make a difference, but any ideas would be awesome.
  9. This guy has the right idea for what I wanted and added a few other good steps. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31697 I use Wyre Bash so I haven't had many huge problems (script did not work well with just nexus mod manager), but I would like a few more updates on compatilibity as well. If you keep calling odahviing like 5 times in a row it can sometimes mess up the command script. I have quite a few dragon motifying mods too, so, if it was going to break, it would break on my game. Still as always back up saves. Note: Don't try to do the mod without watching his guide video first!
  10. You might be surprised. If anything it kicks up the frame rate abilities a lot for me. Again a lot is relative. I would say it is best for complicated mods. If you just have 3 complicated mods and then 100 armor mods, then yea, Wyre Bash wouldn't really be worth it. But for example let's say you want to use ASIS, duel combat, and SKYRE. With Nexus Mod Manager only one mod's NPC AI will win out. With Wyre Bash the bashed patch can help to combine mods that otherwise cancel out. Now it's not necessarily game-breaking elements we are talking about, but getting the biggest bang for your buck.
  11. So, this is the point that if you are an Elder Scrolls Veteran, you may turn away now and know that you probably will laugh at what I consider to be a revelation. But for me, like a kid in a candy store, downloading a ton of mods and cramming them alltogether with nexus mod manager was my usual MO. Certain things like following all the tweaks and recommendations for each individual mod and starting fresh games seemed to fix the random assortments of glitches I have faced over the years with elder scrolls, but nothing ever seemed to permanently fix all the things one faces: strange textures, freezing, CTD's, corrupted save files, NPC's walking naked in the middle of nowhere. However it never once dawned on me that with my demanding load of mods, the nexus mod manager and BOSS are not the only tools to work with. Wyre Bash may at first seem like a hassle to a newbie, but my god it is worth everything in the world. I always wondered why Skyrim crashed so much and would have glitchy chugging. It turns out it had nothing to do with my specs or PC. It had everything to do with Nexus Manager alone not being enough to fix intricate script, ini, and mod conflict issues. Chances are if you are running more than a few overhaul mods together, you are kidding yourself if you think it isn't really affecting your game in a negative way. Basic Steps: Use NMM to download and keep mods up to date, use Boss to correct the load order, and use Wyre Bash to combine, patch, and tweak it all to a smooth finish. The bashed patch that the program puts toward the end of the load order is the key. Right click it to rebuild the patch, and it helps to tweak and combine mods that normally cancel each other out in the load order. Finally as I learned the hard way, NEVER have skyrim in your programs folder (or programs folder (x86)) because of the security nature of that folder. A mod like ASIS for example will never patch correctly due to microsoft's bizarre programming for that folder. I suggest putting your steam in a newly created directory called C:/Games. There is a learning curve and you will have to do some research to understand a bit more, but I have spent years trying many mods in many combinations. It never worked as well. Now you may have an even better set of programs you use, but point is, NMM and Boss are not enough for the user who wants a plethora of large mods.
  12. Top 10 - Skyre - ASIS - ERSO (AKA Mighty Dragons, which is a portion) - Castle Stonespire (This player castle is just simple and F---ing perfect) - Ultimate Follower Mod w/ My Home is Your Home - Frostfall - Climates of Tamriel - Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Immersive Patrols - JaySuS Swords 10 You should check out if you haven't - Locational Damage - Command Dragon - Ultimate Dragon Riding - Houses Free and Furnished - Civil War Repairs - Fort Dawnguard Enhanced and Volkihar Castle Reborn (two separate mods, similar ideas) - Varied Guards and Stormcloaks - Expanded Winterhold Destruction Ruins - Crimson Tide - Blood - Dragon Combat Overhaul - Perfect Legionnaire
  13. Thank you so much. It is far better than nothing.
  14. I'm not sure it exists but I was wondering if anyone knew a mod that uses the same wonderful method of patching for armor as this ASIS mod does for spells, spawning, etc? I always found it sad that I have these hoards of great armors modded onto my game, and yet most of my poor moronic enemies keep wearing raggedy fur and iron armor variations. ie - Let's take a popular armor like say the Silver Dragon Armor by Zerofrost. After running a patching program like ASIS does, my unique use of this armor would be found amongst some NPC's Does this mod exist somewhere on the nexus?
  15. Well now that Bethesda has done most of the work with the dragon riding, is it even possible to get in there and finish the other 10% by adding some level of dragon steering? Even as elementary as "go north, northeast, southwest, etc."? ideally... it would be just the use of the left and right arrow to get him in different directions
  16. On a serious note, a huge thanks to the unofficial patch modders. You guys rock! :)
  17. So, can't beat the "etherial" god that is Miraak (bug), nexus mod manager deleted all my mod categories for the 3rd time, and the server keeps getting errors for the unofficial dragonborn patch :D ...I just have to laugh, can I get a fml? Despite all the huge amounts of tinkering I have to do, I still love skyrim/elder scrolls. Is there something wrong with me?
  18. Not sure if you know but this is a prequel. This is the period before talos, so that's the old aldmeri dominion(funny how they made them so similar though). As for factions, there probably are some around and like with skyrim there's the large threat of a mannimarco molag bal alliance that everyone but us are too stupid and ignorant to realize. That is great to hear. I really wanted to see the next round with the AD following the events of Skyrim played out in a single player fashion. If ESO is a prequel, they can kind of do whatever they want without ruining the path that the elder scrolls has been taking. And you are right. They aldmeri look completely similar when comparing the eras.
  19. Given the new Elder Scrolls Online video, what are your opinions and feelings on the way factions seem to be grouped in Skyrim versus The Elder Scrolls Online? The reason I bring it up is I have some concerns... It is inevitable in this day and age that large games tend to push into the MMO territory. While some games have benefited from this, I think some of us have seen good games become severely dumbed down by an unnecessary need to push to an MMO. Some pc games have already suffered from being re-converted console games. Luckily Skyrim was neither of these in my opinion. That may differ for you. Now to the point. When I watched the video for ESO I could not help but feel a little disenchanted. I think some of it stemmed from a very generalized set of 3 factions that are vying for power. It felt all too simplistc. In Skyrim and other Elder Scrolls games you get a rich array of factions on different levels. You have your stormcloaks vs your imperials, but they dwarf in comparison to the great threat of the dragons or the ancient retreat of the falmer from the nords. Then there are smaller factions hidden throughout the land that pay no heed to any of them. In Skyrim you get a real sense of a grey area made from a mixture of many factions, small and large. These large arrays of factions have always made for more intricate storylines in the elder scrolls series too. Again, I reserve the right to be dead wrong when the game comes out. It might be the refreshing change the series needed. I just hope there will always be a return to a traditional single player Elder Scrolls game in the future.
  20. Nevermind, I found it. It was the Romulus (Assassin's Creed) mod. The helmet conflicts with the imperial officer helmet.
  21. Super late response, but I have this problem lately. Did you ever find a solution? I'm wondering if it is the imperial dragon armor mod.
  22. I had to share this, seeing as I simply stumbled upon it and I really wanted this badly for a long time. If you want to change a non-follower NPC armor follow these steps. All the other console workarounds short of modding the game have not worked for me ever. 1) Download and follow install instructions for "Anyone as a Follower" by hirodina: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4139 <<< (its just a simple bat file, if you know what that is) 2) Once those bat files are in the appropriate skyrim folder, click on any NPC in the game and type "bat follower" in the console (make sure they are selected!!! sometimes you accidentally click other objects) 3) While still having the NPC selected now simply use the "additem XXXXX 1" code, where XXXXX is the code for the armor/clothes you want. You shouldn't have to delete any of the NPC's armor/clothes. All you need is the additem code. 4) I haven't tried putting heavy armor on someone like a mage npc, or light armor on a heavy armor npc, but that might work too. Hope this works. I'm currently going to town changing all npc armor I can :D
  23. I don't know why they just can't keep it available with a huge warning sign. I have the files, and now that I know its closed off, I'm going to back them up for sure. I love SoS !!!
