  1. this is a pretty funny idea, I like it! uh, MODinsane, I don't disagree with your sentiment, but I feel like I should point out that "boxum" is not a word.
  2. It's weird to me that some people include things like "Cloaks of Skyrim" in their list of "mods they can't live without." Really? If I told you tomorrow that "Cloaks of Skyrim" was unusable, you would stop playing the game forever? Essential mods for me are SkyUI, Tropical Skyrim and Lightweight Potions.
  3. My current characters: Kelemal - Redguard male - warrior/archer Former military man who had settled down with his family in Hammerfell. When a group of bandits killed his family, he dedicated his life to tracking them down. He tracked them to Skyrim and it turned out they were Elves...so killing them wasn't enough. He also joined the Stormcloaks to try to rid Skyrim of Elvish influence. Vanerial - Argonian female - mage/assassin Vanerial was given up for adoption when she was very small and was adopted by a kindly dockworker, who moved to Skyrim when Vanerial was just 3 years old. She has watched her adopted mother struggle to make ends meet and now that she is old enough, she's decided that she's going to try to make it on her own. She's been studying magic in secret, so she's ready to unleash her skills on Skyrim. She has heard about a boy in Windhelm who has no family, so she is headed there to see if there's anything she can do to help him.
  4. this does look very cool, i hope it ends up being completed. i understand lack of motivation all too well, but it seems a shame for this to just disappear.
  5. It's all good, there are ups and downs with just about everything in life. Looking forward to the next video!
  6. There really is no such thing as leveling too fast. Actually, a lower level character might be better, in the sense that some battles will be more challenging. My highest-level character is level 61 and he can pretty much dominate any opponent. I am enjoying my lower-level characters because I have to plan my combat and can't just wade in and start smashing people.
  7. We're making a collage about Winterhold? I am so confused.
  8. that's absolutely a piece of art, are you kidding? awesome job. you should be proud of the effort you put in and of the end result.
  9. Daventry, I am genuinely curious, what's with using capital letters randomly? For example, you Sometimes Capitalize words in the Middle of Sentences and I am Trying to understand the Reasoning. On topic: Bethesda is not shutting down, and Skyrim will still get new mods. I don't think we're ever going to have that "resolution to the Thalmor storyline" mod that we might have wanted, but look at Tropical Skyrim for example. That mod came out pretty recently and it's amazing. Who knows what the future holds for Skyrim. When the GOTY edition comes out I could see a bump in mods as some new people get involved or previous fans get back into it. I am excited about the next Elder Scrolls game...but I'm not excited about waiting until 2017 for it. I have never played a Fallout game. Maybe I'll check out Fallout 4 to tide me over to Elder Scrolls VI.
  10. I stumbled across "Build Your Own Home" last year and I love it. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18480 It's customizable, so you can decide how many add-ons you have and if you have furniture or not. It starts off with just a big empty room, but if you trick it out it has specific containers for everything: armor, weapons, ingredients, ingots, ore, jewelry, etc.
  11. Well, there's 2 minutes of my life that I'm not getting back.
  12. Watching Part 2 now. Pretty cool so far. Nope, I don't have the graph-paper maps anymore...I don't specifically remember throwing them away but I know I did. See, I never played Super Mario Bros. Never. To this day - still haven't ever played a Mario game! I know, it's like I'm not fit to be called a child of the 80s/90s. Anyway, Bard's Tale II was awesome. I actually found the instruction manual the other day! No idea why I kept that but it's pretty cool. I am pretty sure my next Skyrim character will be a Breton mage/enchanter. If I get bored of my Redguard I may start that up soon, but so far I am really enjoying my Redguard. (One of my self-imposed goals is to use only one weapon - a scimitar - and no offensive magic. If I encounter something that can't be killed by a scimitar, I might be in trouble! Okay, back to Part 2!
  13. That is cool, I am definitely going to give it a shot. My current character is a Redguard warrior/alchemist but next is going to be a mage. Maybe a Breton, I have never had a Breton character before. I just downloaded "the art of shock" and "the art of fire" from the Steam workshop and I think I have a couple magic-related mods from the Nexus as well. Looking forward to going mage-only. The only downside is I have to spend time in Winterhold...not my favorite place! So I may give it some more time and try to get my Redguard up a few levels, maybe try to complete the civil war with him. I never played Baldur's Gate or any of the D&D games. Although if you want to get really old school, I loved The Bard's Tale 2. I spent hours on that game, even mapping the city and dungeon layouts on graph paper!
