  1. So imagine the following... You like to search thoroughly for loot. You've got 2 animal companions on your PC who manage to get in the way at the best of times and at the worst have to be manually moved to catch up with the rest of the party. You logically decide that the best way to look around is to ungroup the party so they're not in the way and so that one of your animal companions in particular doesn't find themselves stuck in another corner. Then you find out Baldur's Gate 3's ungroup button, which can be hotkeyed, only applies to the main party and for some godforsaken reason the equivalent button for summons lacks said binding option. So you have to make sure to click the latter after pressing the hotkey. Annoying right? Now imagine it 600 more times. Anyway I've got a very crude solution set up using Autohotkey (which I suck at) and a mouse macro combined to simulate a mouse click and group/ungroup combination, but I figured I'd just float this as an idea for a QOL mod. It makes avoiding traps that much harder too. Thanks for reading.
  2. Hello. So I've been getting back into it after 2 years and I've discovered quite an annoying issue, I presume it's been present the whole time I've been playing and has just become more noticeable after a change of FOV. The problem is I've got the option in XPMSE to not have the dangling sword on my player (sends it more upright on the hip), but with Improved Camera you can see here that when the sword is equipped there seems to be something protruding from over my shoulder, like a sheath. This is only a problem in first person. Changing to other settings gets rid of this (but causes other problems like the sword being too far from my hip) so it's definitely XPMSE, but whether there's some weird skeleton/mesh issue from ages ago causing problems I truly cannot tell, so I wouldn't even know where to start. I never had Joy of Perspective installed, just to get that out of the way because I know that mod can cause similar oddities. Any help would be much appreciated. https://imgur.com/a/uXQcQ3g Edit: I didn't figure out what was causing this, but in case someone is having the same issue, I have incidentally bumped into a workaround using Immersive Equipment Displays because it can actually simulate the "No more dangling swords" effect from XPMSE, even in first person. Set your sword placement in XPMSE to default, then in IED, go to view, gear nodes, then in the gear nodes window click actor, select your character then select placements and select Sword NMD (no more dangling). Hardly an elegant solution and that mod, while cool, is a bit of an eyesore (recommend changing the menu font size and theme in settings) which requires a lot of tweaking with, reloading and learning but it works.
  3. No matter what my load order or set-up, fullscreen or borderless, I've always had an issue where the pause menu in Skyrim becomes impossible to cancel out of when the game has been minimised while it's open. When it's just paused, it's just a nuisance as simply creating an unnecessary save closes the pause menu and sends things back to normal anyway, but when the MCM is open that stops being possible and the game must be restarted (a considerable issue when with a load order of over 200 plugins). I'm aware that opening the Steam Overlay or console prevents this by the way, I just always forget. I'm not extremely desperate to fix this, I merely wonder. Thanks for reading.
  4. I had a response typed to this... But then I had a bit of a confusion which I'll address below. Keep in mind, I do not speak for the admins or moderators, so take what I say with a grain of salt until they actually respond, but I think I've generally gotten the idea of what is permitted. I hope this is helpful. You are still not allowed to post direct files/ports from other games, those assets fall under copyright still, but the confusion I had was that mods do get ported between games even though this is generally not allowed. However I found this link addressing the kinds of ports that are acceptable because Nexus has requested permission directly. They want to keep a good reputation with the developers. I'd be cautious about posting those mods you reference without reading this. Also make sure you know exactly what's in the mods you want to upload. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Porting_content
  5. All good. You could always manually back them up to Onedrive or Google Drive periodically of course. Take care.
  6. Hmmmm. Again, sorry I don't know about this one. If I had to guess Steam might not back them up because the save folder has been changed, but it's worth a try I guess.
  7. You are very welcome! I don't really know about the time zone thing, sorry, but at least it's working. Have fun. :)
  8. I run profiled saves and I have that too. It's just an artefact of the installation process, shouldn't matter. Test it, nothing should save there. Tell me in the unlikely circumstance it does.
  9. Ah I see. No you should be absolutely fine then if you've already run the game successfully before. You should be able to copy them over, I think yeah. Just find them in My Documents. Copy and paste into the save folder. Not sure I've ever done that before but I see no obvious reason why it wouldn't work.
  10. You're welcome. Yes either that or try running it through Mod Organizer (something like Skyrim Launcher.exe or something under Run, if that doesn't work just run it through Steam*). *the only reason I specify this is that's there's only one problem with this, you can never avoid My Documents *entirely*. Skyrim needs to the best of my knowledge to save config files there when it's first run, I should have said this, there's no way around that unless you want to borrow someone else's config files. But once it's done, everything runs through Mod Organizer 2. It's a complete virtual alternative. I'd say just try it, it shouldn't be an issue.
  11. My bad, getting ahead of myself, yes I'll help. Run the exe, install it on your PC, create a new instance, Skyrim will almost definitely be detected. If not point the program to where you have the game installed. Once it's installed, you'll see a box with "Profiles" next to it at the top, click it, click manage, select "profile specific save files", click okay. Click the spanner and screwdriver in Mod Organizer, that's your settings. Go to Paths. Find where your profiles are, if it just says BASE DIR next to profiles, simply copy the Base Directory path into Explorer, find your profiles folder, in it are where your saves will appear (you'll need to save some in-game first of course). Two things, always run Skyrim through Mod Organizer 2 now via its run button, and run Skyrim's own launcher before playing for the first time so it can generate settings (Mod Organizer will then make its own profile specific versions). It's a lot simpler than it sounds, I promise. Let me know if there are any issues. (sorry for the edits to this post, some weirdness happened there with duplicated text)
  12. You are on the wrong forum, this is for giving feedback to or asking questions about the site not individual games. Never mind, the mods will move it. Onto your question though, you can search and download Mod Organizer 2 and run Skyrim saves through a profile. Click the box above the load order and configure it for that. Very simple to do. Having said that... You really should fix that OneDrive issue when you get the chance. A lot of games use My Documents and if it's causing you issues you will have to fix it eventually. If you're worried about your registry (it's a bit intimidating if you're not used to it admittedly) and there's no choice but to edit it, create a system restore point. It's very quick and very easy. Such a simple edit shouldn't cause a problem anyway especially if it's voted helpful a lot wherever you're reading about it. Good luck.
  13. I understand with some things that you've been trying to reduce your reliance on IP board, but I wonder if that will extend to post history at some point. I know that you can view your comments in active threads through the forums' my content menu, but this seems like a pretty big flaw not just because it's a somewhat archaic way of handling this, but because there seems to be a hard limit of one year on that section after which people can't see updates to the thread. Since your site supports such old games that can only receive mod comments months apart, I hope this is something you can expand on at some point. I understand your traffic and site databases are massive now so this may not be easy, but just from a community and support perspective I think this deserves attention and a separate dedicated section on the main site rather than it hanging off the forums. Perhaps for posts going forward at least rather than retrospectively. Thank you. Edit: It occurs to me I could just follow the thread on the forum side and that should avoid the 1 year time out in the My Content menu while keeping me in the loop still. I know I know, silly me, it's been quite a number of years since I've used an IP board forum and the notification bell didn't even occur to me as a possible workaround. I'll have to try to remember to do that from now on, though I still think my idea is good for organisational purposes and for larger threads. Blah, I've said what I need to say, thank you for reading. Signing off.
  14. Never seen anything like this. Happened after I installed The Ultimate Dodge Mod (not on the Nexus itself), an audio overhaul and ISC patch (old version of that patch though hardly ancient), some script fixes for it, and some new animations for TUDM and its zEdit patch. They pop up after I've been in combat for a while and stick with the save, even reloading and relaunching the game won't help, nor will changing cells. The mods seem to be working really well apart from that so this is quite annoying. I wouldn't usually bother the forums about stuff but this is baffling. Any help appreciated. https://imgur.com/a/M55Ei24 (I was trying to figure out how to embed the screenshot on this mess of a site but got blocked by cloudflare -- sorry.) EDIT: This bug is caused by Breakable Equipment System. My other mods were incidental this time. Essentially there's an option to toggle an HUD with your items on and off. I had not yet decided if I wanted to use it and had not yet turned it on, but regardless it leaves little coloured artefacts of an HUD on your screen when your equipment degrades. I will file this on their page when I catch a moment.
  15. Hello. I've modded my Skyrim within fairly reasonable parameters (that is to say focusing on things I know won't cause a major issue). I'm currently enjoying a pretty stable playthrough and am quite invested in my character. However despite my GPU averaging at about 50/60 percent load with a maximum of 90 in demanding areas on my GTX 1070, I'm noticing textures go missing every now and then which is resolved by restarting the game. First it was an alchemy table inside Sarthaal and second is was the magic beam effects in the circle of one of the main cells in the College of Winterhold. Both simply disappeared. Can this be fixed on a more long term basis? I do have SSE engine fixes installed. I'm not entirely sure this will be of any use which is why I'm posting this in technical support and not mod troubleshooting but here's my load order if it will help. # This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer.Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmDawnguard.esmHearthFires.esmDragonborn.esmLanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esmUnofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.espDyeManager.eslDyeManagerDefaults.eslRealisticWaterTwo - Resources.esmCampfire.esmEcotone Dual Sheath.eslAudio Overhaul Skyrim.espImmersive Sounds - Compendium.espAOS_ISC_Integration.espSkyUI_SE.espTrueStormsSE.espPrometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.espSMIM-SE-Merged-All.espCutting Room Floor.espFNIS.espRaceMenu.espRaceMenuPlugin.espSPTConsistentOlderPeopleSE.espRLO - Exteriors.espUIExtensions.espTheEyesOfBeauty.espFootprints.espBeards.espBook Covers Skyrim.espHothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.espGuard Dialogue Overhaul.espSkyrim Unbound.espOpulentOutfits_2017-SSE AIO.espImmersive Music.espFCO - Follower Commentary Overhaul.espImmersive Weapons.espWildcat - Combat of Skyrim.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espUFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.espRun For Your Lives.espCloaks.espCloaks - USSEP Patch.espBetter Vampire NPCs.espInigo.espEmbersHD.espRLO - Interiors.espCloaks - Dawnguard.espHunterborn.espImmersive Patrols II.espFrostfall.esp1nivWICCloaks.esp1nivWICSkyCloaksPatch.espiHUD.espNameYourHorse.espFasterHorses.espWetandCold.espimp_helm_legend.espSkyrim Flora Overhaul.espWhistle.espDr_Bandolier.espTrueStorms_Wet&Cold_Patch.espWet&Cold - WaterFix - Addon.espCraftable Locpicks - 10.espRadiant and Unique Potions and Poisons SE.espDGPlayerIsVampire.espDeadlyDragons.espRLO - CRF Patch.espRLO - Illuminated Spells.espEmbersHD - RLO Patch.espchfshPlayerVoicesets.espNoHeavyBreathingSprint-Swim-Bow.espFranklyHDImperialArmorsAndWeapons.espgoodBoy.espTHMeeko.espLootandDegradation.espAutoHideAmmo.espAnimations.espBlack Mage Armor SE.espOpulentOutfits_2017-SSE AIO_CRF.espdD-No Spinning Death Animation.esparmorFlesh.espFixed body collision.espFacelight.espKS Hairdo's.espSFO_SkinFeatureOverlays.espAIO SE TATTOOS.espBrows.espImproved Traps.espdD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.espHothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.espEcotone Dual Sheath Patch.espSmart_NPC_Potions.espVisible Favorited Gear.espMoonlight Tales Special Edition.espDSerArcheryGameplayOverhaul.espTrueDeathBasic.espVitalityMode.espTESL-LoadingScreens.espTESL LoadScreen Patch.espOblivionLikeLS.espHunterborn - Campfire Patch.espChesko_WearableLantern.espElephant'sScriptLatencyTester.espBBD_SkyrimFishing.espNo Snow Under The Roof - CRF Patch.espWiZkiD Signs - No Snow Under the Roof patch.espWerewolf Killcam Remover.espbm_SimpleAction.espXPMSE.espUnlimited Sprinting.espDirt and Blood - Dynamic Visuals.espDirt and Blood - Shader Tweak.espBetter Vampires.espRealisticWaterTwo.espAudio Overhaul Skyrim - True Storms Patch.espAudio Overhaul Skyrim - Immersive Weapons Patch.espAOS_EBT Patch.espISC Enhanced Blood Patch.espPaper World Map.espPaper World Map Unofficial Fix - Vanilla.esp
  16. EDIT: I duplicated my Mod Organizer profile for troubleshooting and tried disabling Vigor Enhanced Combat and it seems that was the culprit. On a new save the problem only persisted with that mod enabled. What a shame... I was really rather enjoying it. I will file a bug report on the page. Images: https://imgur.com/a/ijl3sTa So I'm quite frustrated because I put a considerable of time and care into my load order and I'm getting this weird issue where giants attack a maximum of a couple of times (they usually don't attack at all) and then their clubs disappear and all they can do is back away. This seems to happen only while I'm in werewolf form. The latest mod I installed was Moonlight Tales, however it's not that mod because I loaded a save before it and the same problem happened. My next thought was maybe the giant skeleton from Realistic Ragdolls and Physics, so I tried getting rid of that both on my current game and on a fresh save with the whole mod disabled for simplicity's sake, but the still the problem occurs. My main potentially NPC AI altering mods (off the top of my head) are Wildcat, Vigor enhanced combat, and Vampire NPC's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
