This is an idea that has stuck with me when I was first introduced to Fallout 3, a year before New Vegas came out. I'm sure we've thought of this idea on more than one occasion: "Oh boy, a Fallout game in my state would be pretty darn nifty!" Well I had this idea too, and as a local Floridian my mind just exploded with the possibilities that could come from a fallout game in this location. Mutated alligators and the irradiated G.E.C.K that was suppose to be in a previous Fallout game (Fallout Tactics 2), mutated floridian panthers, an absurdly high ghoul population in the area due to excessive radiation, radio's with 1950's era surf/beach music, and a rampant series of supermutants still loyal to the masters cause (without knowledge of his death). Notable locations would be: -Vault Disney. -Kennedy Space Center. -The Gulf Commonwealth. -The Everglades . -The unknown "Crater Banks" mentioned only once by a ghoul in underworld. -Vaults specifically made with the Floridian aquifers and loose ground soil in mind. - St. Augustine (a nod to wastelands fountain of youth). -Lake Okeechobee. -Abandoned Orange-juice factories. -Scattered Floridian Nuka-Cola plants. I also have some ideas for custom weapons in-game, like a pink plastic lawn flamingo and several craft-able secrets. I've tried my hand at this endeavor before, only to give up after writing up a large series of lists of what I'd like to do for the game and never actually getting to working on it. After playing Fallout Brazil and taking note of what can be done with the game through modding, I was struck once again with inspiration... I'll be updating this thread with screenshots over time of my progress on the mod, if anyone has any ideas or helpful hints they'd like to share with building it, I'm open to anything.
