  1. I have seen a link where Aceeq requested to have their account banned. The request was granted.

Well that... sucks . At least I still have the mod, i just wanted to know why it was hidden. I wonder why Aceeq wanted their account gone, i know it probably none of our business but a heads up to the community would have been nice.

Edit: Weird just checked his profile and it does state that the account is banned as you can see here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/5678513?tab=user+files

But i just find it weird that it's still possible to access the mods on his page, with the exception of Enhanced Landscapes but hey at least Dark Fantasy Overhaul is still there right, since if he requested to have his account deleted/banned I would assume that the other mods would be gone as well.

  2. So I was just walking around in Skyrim, looking at the beautiful Enhanced Landscape scenery and was curious if Aceeq updated it. Looked up his profile and went to the Skyrim mods section, to my surprise i didn't see it for Oldrim or SSE. So I then typed it on Google and went to the page only it was hidden :(. With a weird explaination which was just exclamation marks o_O. I assume Aceeq plans on redoing or maybe patching it up some more but would like to know if any of you that are the author's friends or anyone that isn't his friend but maybe knows why it's hidden?

  3. Does Bethesda support this ModDrop in any way? What famous Youtubers are plugging this ModDrop? If Bethesda acknowledges that modders own their mods, then it seems this is the stuff of litigation rather than modders taking the ball and going home.

    Â Â

So what does this ModDrop have to do with the Nexus?

Well ModDrop steals content from the Nexus as well as other mod sites. That is what it has to do with the Nexus. MxR and ESO are supporting it, though MxR removed a few videos from what I heard that plugged it. Ultimate Immersion might be supporting it, or the idea of it, going off a video where he said he and ESO are working together on an app for allowing 1 click downloads of mods. While people can go after the uploaders that stole by hitting them with DMCA, they can't do it to the site itself. They make you sign up to access anything unlike here because they want to lock you in to their shady ass agreement, that says you can't DMCA ModDrop you have to take it up with the "author". That is why it will be hard to get them to go away because you can't touch ModDrop only the uploaders who stole like ESO, he made a 130 modpack from what I briefly viewed on his channel.

Also fun side note: They supposedly uploaded Bethesda clean files which is illegal!

  4. Hey why is the most recent search function for finding the latest, or newest mods gone? All I see is Date, Endorsements, Downloads, Last updated, Author, File name, Size, Random, Trending, and Last comment. I really liked using it when looking for mods that are new, underrated or ones that might have slipped under my radar.

  5. yes and it's not really a issue I was just wondering how would the game do that? this is strange I think that's one reason no one answered me on the steam forums no one ever had this same strange encounter and she does have a dialogue but only two words are there rumors and the give gift option that one is from my give a gift mod.

Yeah I looked this up and didn't find anything and I've never encountered it before. I know the longer you play, vanilla or not, it gets more unstable. Best choice here is to just kill your twin or open the console, click on the duplicate, and type disable. You should no longer have to see your clone in the saves afterwards.

I guess you guys saw the negative comments in here so i wont just stupidly bash:
the new design is good in its IDEA but there are just to many things that are wrong for the site:
    - the Mod descriptions. its awful to go to a mod and sometimes really have to search for the description, cuz some people like to have long text in both the short description and the long one
    - the size. many elements are just unnecesary big or placed bed like example the stuff in the download section of a mod (if a mod has for example 30 optional downloads its really a pain in the ass to go through)or the description tab in the whole (there is like a third blank place in the tab for description while the font is so small)
    - performance (i guess this will be fixed). it takes (for me as example) 4 times as long to load sth in compare to the old site
    - description in hot files. the most hot files dont have a proper name so the adding of the short description would be nice. also maybe make a 5 files the same size (i mean I really looks ridculously huge and i have a 1360x860 laptop monitor)

i see thelayout has some similarities with mobile apps or Steam so i guess the goal is to connect it with Vortex or have both same layouts. while i guess the idea for the UI in a manager/launcher/downloader is okay (it should be made more compact imo) its horrible to have this for a website where the peoplewont to have much information as possible in less space than it is now

i think if you guys go with making the UI more compact the site will get better and get less negative comments

PS: to the people who just Post "its shitty, i dont like it, you are stupid, i hate the design but use nexus because its best place but still hate u all" try to write what exactly is wrong what you hate on the new design so the Nexus Team can edit everything to everybodys preference. If a teacher would just insult you after you do sth wrong, i guess you wouldnt also know what you did wrong, now wouldnt you? ;)

    I agree with you completely.

Since the nexusmods still is the best site for mods to me, i will stuck with you, but when the old design is shut down and only the new site is available, well.... i will stuck with you, but i will hate you forever at the same time for making me use the new design and i will hate myself for using it and not leaving nexus and i will hate everything from then on.
I hate the new design so much and i hate you for creating it.
    I hate you.

I'd take shoddy over oxhorn for more based facts. And I would definitely start with the bible and move on from there.

So use The Fallout Bible as a base and build off from there with the other sites and channels to get the best information out of the game as a whole?

Well yes. It was written by Avellone and contains around 9 books that can be found free on the internet.

    Alright then good to know.

  9. Yeah have seen him pop up a few times as recommended. I will give him a look thanks. Also I already have been subscribed to Shoddycast for years now but thanks anyways lailaamell95. Let me go ahead while I am here, list off what I know about. Fallout Wiki, NMA(thanks HeyYea), Fallout Bible(thanks Ethreon), Shoddycast, FudgeMuppet, thenthapple(thanks qwertyzeldar), Camelworks, and now Oxhorn( again thanks DaddyDirection).
  10. Hey there whoever is reading this! I would like to know if you know any sites and/or YouTube channels that cover Fallout's Lore. I already know about Fallout Nukepedia but wanted to know if there were others like The Elder Scrolls has. Like is there a UESP and Imperial Library for Fallout, if not exactly the same then similar.
