  1. Please help me..... I am computer stupid and was reordering my mods. after the reorder I started getting massive crashes and especially from certain towns like Solitude and Riften. I checked my mods for load order (as per nexus mod manager) and every thing looks good. I ran Boss and it showed Checksums on all mods..... I don't understand what a checksum is or how to even attempt to fix the problems (out side of starting over from scratch)... I really need some advice on this one.... any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance. I am running windows XP with an Amd Duel core 3000 MHz, Nvidia GPX 560 graphics card, and 4 Gbs of ram. and I baught my skyrim game from my local game store... Also if its not too much to ask ..... how do if find out what version of Skyrim I have (ie. 1.5.xxxx , 1.6.xxxx) and how to update it if its the wrong one? one more stupid question ...... For the life of me I cannot find my save game files in my file folders to check for bloated save files... (I told you I was computer stupid...).

  4. I think windows auto update was most of the problem....I thought I had it disabled but it was still doing its thing.... checked and it was active.... found out that my computer ( I had built at the local computer shop) installed most of the drivers for the motherboard from Nvidia. so when I was deleting programs from control panel add / remove programs menu, I accidently deleted some pretty important drivers.... screwed up my whole system. couldn't get on internet, lost my coprocessor, and a few other rather important thing... Like I said... I'm computer stupid.... finally got it working again by going through all the loading wizards with my motherboard disk and it brought it back.... wheww... Thank you for your help and support.... I think I will have that Nvidia HD sound driver looked at (and/or removed) when I take my machine in for its yearly checkup / tune up next month.... so will live with the intermittent crashes and bugs until then.... I'm 62 years old and my inivative thinking (learning) is starting to wane... (or so I am told...) I chalk it up to plain laziness myself... Thank you again for the great help and support....you are great Georgiegril.....
  5. I tried the "ultimate Nvidia driver uninstall/install guide to get a fresh driver for my GTX 560 card on XP and when I got to the uninstall portion .... windows went nuts.... it kept finding and installing the drivers and HD super sound driver faster than I could uninstall them... now it wants me to put in the HD sound disk .... I do have Nvidia control panel and nviewer and can't get rid of them either.... HELP!!!!! someone just shoot me..... What am I missing... and Yes!!! I am computer stupid..... well I should say I know enough to be dangerous (to myself more than others)
