Awesome, thank you so much! It should be noted in the description that you have to dismiss Danse before using this, otherwise you will be permanently hostile with the BoS (and still have no penalty for killing them). -
Download the version linked on this forum and open with with the command prompt using "tes5edit.exe -fo4 -edit"

Don't know if you can multiple times, but I know you can romance Magnolia at the bar (Three Crossings, Triple Rail, something like that) in Goodneighbor at least once.

Okay, well the script is DansePostQuestBoSHostilityScript 100%, since the purpose of it is "handles making player an enemy of BoS when Danse is current companion and near the player" I'm not sure if there's a way to disable it. I'm pretty sure by looking at it (I have no prior experience with scripts so bear with me) the script checks CurrentCompanionFaction and then temporarily changes you relationship with the Brotherhood to enemies. Here's the script, if anyone cares/wants to help: -
When I did the Mass Fusion mission for the Brotherhood (it makes you a permanent enemy of the Institute so you'll know) it opened up the Minutemen line and allowed me to take the holotape I gave Proctor Ingram to Sturges. I beat the game before I gave him the tape however, so I don't know what would have happened next.

If you haven't killed everyone in the Railroad (BoS302B, I forget the actual name of the quest) then you can still side with them.

A little preface: I've never made a mod in a previous Fallout/ES game, the closest thing to that was changing the damage value on a mod. What I do know is there's a script that I'd like gone, or modified. I don't know if it's possible in game but I do know it probably is via cheat engine, like the "Unlimited Building" table does. Could anyone lead me in the right direction, or is this a lost cause? Script, before doing Blind Betrayal (potential spoilers!): Script, after doing Blind Betrayal: As you can see, there's one thing causing me from having what I want: A play through where I can have my damn Brotherhood companion alongside myself. Other things I've noticed: There are 3 AVIF files for the mission (known as BoS302): COMQC_BoS302DanseIsSynthAV, COMQC_BoS302DanseDiedAV, and COMQC_BoS302DanseLivedAVNot sure why there's 3, as far as I know he's either a synth or he dies. BoS302DanseFaction is a thing, but he's not in it according to his file (which seems to get overwritten by the script, as it lists him as an ally to the brotherhood in the ESM)Removing him and the player from "BoSDanseBoSEnemyFaction" does nothingA few Form IDs exist that seem related: BoS302DanseExecuted [GLOB:0017B40E], BoS302DanseExiled [GLOB:00141A14], BoS302DanseSolved [GLOB:001AC335], BoS302Friend [GLOB:0014D135], BoS302NotFriend [GLOB:0014D136]After Betrayal, both Friend and NotFriend are set to 1 with and without Danse following. It's not a faction thing, there's a script that checks whether Blind Betrayal "BoS302" was completed. If it was, then it sets "IsBoSHostile" to true when Danse is a follower. You can put him in every BoS faction and remove him from the "BoSEnemiesDanse" faction, it won't matter. The script will override it. I don't even know if it's possible to undo it either, none of my posts about this have received help. Also, the things I put in quotations aren't the specific names, just off the top of my head. -
Commands to make followers faction neutral?

I played around with the factions abit (read: removed Danse from all, added only to companion factions) and still get "While Danse is your follower, you are enemies with the Brotherhood." I'm not quite sure what's causing it with him, he might be a special case since I don't believe the others (X6-88 and Deacon) have a similar quest. It might be a save file thing that overrides the factions he's in. -
Using the removefromallfactions will make followers faction neutral, but it stops them from, well, following too. I'd assume that's due to it removing them from the player/follower faction too, so I was wondering if anyone knows a way to make followers faction neutral while being able to keep them as a follower. I'd like my followers to be with me no matter what, an unconditional love sorta thing like Dogmeat (who I don't use because he sits there barking and never attacks stuff for me).

When you finish with the brotherhood, they give you a T-60 torso with a jetpack mounted on it already. You also become a sentinel and get a couple new items in the shop.

You'd have to remove him from the Brotherhood factions only and keep him in the player/companion faction, at least I'd assume. -
Mod that removes faction dependencies from companions

If anyone knows of a way to do this with console commands (or a batch file), such as making it so I could take Deacon on an Institute playthrough or Danse (post-Blind Betrayal) on a Railroad playthrough, that'd be wonderful. -
I would like to use any companion anywhere, such as: Danse (the worst offender): Can't use unless sided with the Brotherhood, even after Blind Betrayal X6-88: I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can use him outside of siding with the Institute Deacon: You can't have him unless you side with the Railroad (you might be able to if you do the Minutemen ending) Basically, I wanted to use Danse because he's just an all around badass, but after Blind Betrayal (spoilers ahead!) I can't have him with me for any ending and I can't even have him as a companion unless I do the brotherhood ending.

Update: Request for one to remove "Having this follower will make the Brotherhood hate you" so I can actually go places with him without Vertibirds attacking me. -
Spoilers if you haven't gotten to the Blind Betrayal quest! I was planning on doing a playthrough where I fight with the Brotherhood alongside my cool Brotherhood companion, Danse. Then, I came back to the Prydwen and had to talk to Maxson, where there were zero dialogue options to save Danse. You can't betray the Brotherhood either, I tried that which resulted in him fighting me. You then have to go on with it, then you have to talk to Danse. You can save him, but he leaves and can't be a follower anymore. There's literally no way to keep him as a follower. I didn't even get his perk yet, I was in no rush because I wasn't expecting to lose the possibility of having a follower out of nowhere. I've tried everything. I removed him from the Brotherhood faction, killed Maxson, and then gone back to him (he was still hostile). I've reset him, and can't talk to him. I assigned him to the player's teammates list, still won't follow. I've tried just about everything with console commands- except setting blind betrayal to complete, because it doesn't show up in the help list when you search either blind or betrayal. I'm wondering if theres a possibility to make a mod that keeps him as a companion (or spawns him in, say, sanctuary with no faction ties or anything that would make the Brotherhood hate him). There's also the possibility I'm stupid and didn't see an option to save him AND keep him.

FVN4GB no longer working?

Yes, Steam is running and I have launched New Vegas normally at least once. I've tried everything, when I rename fnv4gb.exe to FalloutNVLauncher.exe and launch with Steam it just says an instance of fallout new vegas is already running (after the loading bar pops up about 3 times) and a ghost copy is running in the background. -
Probably not related, but this has begun occurring after installing Tale of Two Wastelands. It used to be that launching FNV4GB would launch New Vegas and NVSE without FalloutLauncher.exe. Now it launches FalloutLauncher.exe, so you have to click play. NVSE works too. However, I don't think it's 4GB anymore when it does this as I have gotten "Error: Out of Memory" a few times already, which never happened before. I deleted FalloutNV.exe and FalloutLauncher.exe so Steam would reacquire them, along with removing FNV4GB and trying both the NVSE linked one and the updated one. Neither worked. How do I get it working again, or is there a large address awareness patch like 3 had?
