Hi! I downloaded Forsworn Armor Extra Skimpy, which contains only textures and gives me the folder Textures/armor/forsworn which contains forswornarmorf.dds and forswornarmoref_n.dds But I also downloaded Killer Keos Skimpy Armor Set Version 5, which contains only meshes and includes the folder Meshes/clothes/forswornarmor/ which contains forswornarmorf_0.nif and forswornarmoref_1.nif This is confusing! When I see a Forsworn, what will they be wearing? Will they be rapidly switching back and forth between the meshes version and the textures version, causing my Dad's computer to explode? I was hoping that I could first install Killer Keo's Skimpy armor which overwrites every race's vanilla armor, and then add the Extra Skimpy Forsworn armor to overwrite Killer's less skimpy Forsworn armor. But if I install both mods, one will never overwrite the other because one is mesh and the other is texture. (Also one is in an armor folder and the other is in a clothes folder.) What would you do to avoid potential conflict in what the Forsworn will wear?

"Could not match desired Fullscreen mode
xeudon replied to MaxYasgur's topic in Morrowind's Troubleshooting
I have a 1600 by 900 screen and NVidia GeForce 9800 GT. Full Screen is badly distorted and the only other options are Windowed 1024 x 768 or Windowed 1152 x 864. The latter is hidden at the bottom of the screen by the taskbar. None of these choices are satisfactory - I'd like to be able to use Full Screen without distortion, but I've been using the Windowed 1024 x 768. Better than nothing. I hope the new version of Morrowind will have better options when it is released. -
Well, that's what Nexus is for. People creating mods like those for everyone who loves them and wants to play them.

I haven't played very far in the game yet - I keep starting again, for various reasons. But every time I start a new game, I wonder if the dragon is on Ulfric's side. Consider this: 1. He blasts the executioner. 2. He creates a hole in the wall so you (and Ulfric) can jump through to Vilod's Inn and escape. 3. The dialogue allows you to ask Ralof if the dragon is on his side. 4. When Ralof asks Ulfric "Can the legends be true?" Ulfric answers enigmatically "Legends don't burn down villages!" What do you think?

Yes, Steam is a dreadful way to play games. You don't get to own the game you buy, and whenever your game stuffs up it's extremely difficult to find out what's wrong and how to fix it. They just tell you to go and ask in the forums after reading through the long FAQ. They're not user-friendly at all. I bought a hard disc copy at my local store, but you can't install it without Steam taking control of it. I wish Bethsoft would put out a non-Steam version. Steam make game-playing far more difficult than it was without them.

Do you ever feel like someone is watching you? Watching *everything* you do and keeping careful notes? And selling all the info they gather about you to someone else? All over Nexus, I keep noticing that someone called "eXTReMe Tracking" is following everything I do. Apparently these spies come from "extreme-dm.com" which is an analytics company that is part of a network of sites, cookies, and other technologies used to track you, what you do and what you click on, as you go from site to site, surfing the Web. Sites like extreme-dm.com build an online profile of you usually including the sites you visit, your searches, purchases, and any other behavior. Your profile can then be sold to any other company who wants it, mostly advertisers and marketers. I doubt whether they have permission from Nexus to do this. Nexus has very high standards and would never stoop so low as to spy on you and sell all your info to those malicious spies and advertisers, but I'm sure there must be some way to block the bastards. Does anyone know of a way to block extreme-dm.com or eXTReMe Tracking from spying on you?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could turn her into a follower, who sings to you in the evening by a campfire!

Have you heard the singing on http://soundcloud.com/malukah/the-dragonborn-comes-skyrim? What do you think of it? She sounds really sweet to me. Xeudon

I'm sorry for referring to Septims as "dollars". It's true that my fellow Americans suffer from a completely unfounded and indefensible "superiority" complex, even though our founders insisted on equality for all, and that principle of equality is written into our constitution, our declaration of independence, and many other fundamental legal documents. No doubt some of that fake superiority has rubbed off on me. I would also like to apologize for every other American who has ever thoughtlessly referred to Septims (in the game) or any other currency (in real life) as "dollars". Actually I must admit that that American superiority complex is a worse problem than you might think at first. It has caused us to invade other countries, destroying their culture and imposing ours, justifying it by imagining that we are "liberating" them. We shoot them, bomb them, and say it's helping them. It has also caused us to destroy the habitats of plants and animals, which also destroys them in the process, and impose hotels and shops, imagining that that is an "improvement" on nature and natural resources. I am appalled by the unthinking, callous, destructive behavior of the majority of my fellow Americans. And yet I am not free of that attitude myself, having been brought up in that country. Many thanks for pointing that out. It reminds me that there is further work I need to do on myself, to make myself into a better person. Xeudon

When I click on "download with manager", on "New FOMM" or even "Old FOMM" I get an error message saying "file is not in a recognizable format". What's happening? Have others been able to download it by clicking on the "download with manager" button? I have an old copy of FOMM.exe that I downloaded ages ago, but when I try to open that, it crashes and says "something bad seems to have happened". Xeudon

I chose to be on the Stormcloaks side because the Imperials tried to kill me in the beginning, even though I was innocent. Probably in my next game I'll try being an Imperial just for the variety. Personally I'd rather be on the dragons side, because they saved my life in the beginning. And it would be fun flying around breathing fire on those dragon-slaying humans. Maybe there'll be a mod one day that will let me play as a dragon! :)

A nagging woman in Dragonsbridge sent me on a quest to fetch a bottle of Dragons Breath Mead, and now I have to decide whether to give it to her (for 500 or 600 dollars) or to her poor husband (for a point of Block skill). That's an easy decision, it depends on whether I need the skill point or the money more. *But* the game says "quest failed" if I give it to the husband, and the quest succeeds if I give it to the shrewish woman. Are there any hidden "quest points" granted for successfully completing a mission, like there was in Morrowind (and I think in Oblivion too)? I'd rather give the bottle to the poor husband, but not if I'm going to miss out on a quest point. Thanks in advance, XTC
