  1. Yeah! Another vote for Tanaka. Good job!! You people voting for Harkin as a love interest for a female commander... FOR SHAME!! He's to old, like in his 50s. It would only work if The Commander had a daddy complex.
  2. Twilight? Self abuse? Kurosawa fans? What kind of people have I fallen in with?!? Brazil does have some of the best looking women and the she-males are pretty hot too. Err... TMI.
  3. 19? Ah that takes me back. (Play the Boss singing Glory Days in the back ground.) To be 19 again, wait... I was in boot camp for the Marines then... God NO! The pattern... The pattern repeating over and over again!! What... where am I? Oh thank God, it was just a nightmare. Damn PTSD flash backs. Don't look down on fluffy romance, girls love that stuff. I dated a girl once who loved to have me read her poetry. Needless to say I almost killed myself.
  4. Anyway, we kind of got off topic. I strongly feel that The Commander would be happier with Tanaka as a lover then Kurosawa. Tanaka is sweet, naive yet smart and prob as inexperienced with relationships as The Commander. Kurosawa is nice but a bit jaded. She prob would consider efforts at romance as cute.
  5. So more of a perverted mix of the two then a straight cloning of culture.
  6. What Sparta are you talking about? The Greek Spartens did not treat their women as slaves, their girls were trained in sports and gymnastics and were near as fit as the men. Their were slaves and they were treated badly but I don't think crucifiction was a common practice. The Legion seems more Talaban then Roman.
  7. And/or protected from harm. Feminist want women to be able to do all the things a man can BUT they look down on a woman who wants to stay at home with her kids. Some women don't want to "join the rat race". What's wrong with them wanting to be a traditional stay at home mom? This is one reason I'm not comfortable with the idea of women in combat. While a man can get a "manly scar" from battle, the same scar on a women would be judged gross and unappeling. Anyway, I hope Tanaka gets the relationship option.
  8. Bhahaha! (evil laugh) Sarah an equal? It's me or her in charge and I'm not wearing a skirt! (I'm not from Scotland) I just feel she is so used to being in charge, other then doing what daddy wants, that it would be hard to find middle ground. Part of "Taming her" would be to get her to see you as an equal but who knows, she may see The Commander like that already. If the Ciditel is a castle and Lyons the King then Sarah is a princess thus she is the "warrior princess". Simple. Fallout 3 is set in a modern dark ages so political marriages would kind of follow. You could think of the towns as city states ruled by strong men and their kids. Thus every city and the surrounding area it controls could be considered a Kingdom. Well my room mate has pointed out that the BOS does not promote based on who your parents are but on seniority, so a political marriage between The Commander and Sarah Lyons would serve no purpose. (bummer) When Lyons dies Star Paladen Cross will become the new Elder. Sarah mite get to be Elder someday but only after many years. So I'm back to rooting for Tanaka.
  9. Haha, Sally is sooo Tongue in cheek. Never played the other Fallouts. Kurosawas speech seems to be influenced by your karma. The badder you are the colder she is to you. I guess I would prefer Tanaka but I really like Sarah Lyons too. Taming her would be a joyfull challange and she is the best looking npc in the game. A political marrage to the "Warrior Princess" of the BOS would be very believable.
  10. Fallout 3 was written with modern morals in mind. Thus no sex or race discrimination and you can kill all the women you want and not feel guilty. But kids are few and far between. You can't kill or marry them when realisticaly girls would be incouraged to start having kids as soon as they can. Lamplight is as close to controversial as the writers got. A bunch of kids who kick out their own at 16? Must be a lot of kids there who get prego early but never get to see their children grow up. Sad. Considering that The Commander was raised in a vault and has killed his share of women, he mite prefer someone who does not want to risk life and limb on a daily basis. A normal home life to come home to would be very appealing. That's why I think Tanaka is the best one or Sally even. When she's older that is... Well maybe... I mean she is kind of cute and has an ok voice... err anyway.
  11. History kind of shows that in survival situations sexual discrimination goes way up! Men become expendable and the women and children are protected as much as possible. That's why you don't see woman being put at risk in primitive cultures. Their value as homemakers, mothers, and breeding stock outway any concept of "equlity between men and women". A pregnant woman or one with small kids is not going to help hunters bring home the bacon. Only modern western morals say that there are no differences between the sexes and want to have men and women fighting togather.
  12. Haha, Thats why I said wait till she grows up, unless your playing a lolicon. I still don't understand why she has a sun burn when she's been on ship for 200 hundred years! That's a good idea about Maxson, I had forgotten all about him. Whatever romance happens needs to seem natural and not like Skyrim where you can be married without romancsing your wife/husband.. I still say Kurosawa is not a good fit, the Commander needs someone who wants to be a homebody. Someone who loves kids and does not mind doing most of it alone since you will be so biz with work and yet will be loving and supportive.
  13. For The Commander to have a relationship with any of his subordinates could set a bad example. Kurosawa would be a bad fit being as she is a Thunderfist and her life is always in danger, also she sounds too experienced and jaded to take a relationship seriously. Tanaka would make a better wife/girlfriend being as she and the commander are close to the same age and her job keeps her out of danger. Sally would also make a good wife (after she grows up) since she seems to have a thing for the commander. Since the Aliens are no longer experimenting on her she should start ageing again, so in 6 years or so she would be old enough to romance. Amata is a good possibility too, shes shown she can make tough decisions and is willing to put the welfare of the Vault before what she wants. Bringing Vault 101 into the TSC could get the people there to stop being mean to the commander, freeing Amata to romance whom she wants. Politically Sarah Lyons is the best choice, it would solidify the relationship between the TSC and Lyons BOS. But Sarah is also a hard charging ground commander who is used to being in charge, this could lead to friction between her and The Commander.
