ive since come to the conclusion that its mostly caused by one of the UI mods i had installed. i uninstalled it and the game worked for the most part, but still crashed when i went into Dragonsreach

idk if this is where i should ask, but (specifically) is it possible to replace the tes4title.mp3 with the lossless OST soundtrack release file 01 - Reign of the Septims.flac and have it work (since id be changing not only the file name but also it's type)? do i need to change any .ini file(s)? ive already replaced the general mp3 audios from the other music folders (and they work), just not the special ones. i'd think the special files are target specific whereas the other files are at random within the designated folders? also, idk if a lossless version of the death.mp3 and success.mp3 exist? like, being in battle will play any random audio file in just the battle folder within the music folder. thank you

thank your for at least trying to do the roll back. i wasn't going to do that because both of the people that own these computers said absolutely not. but the fact that (bolded) happened seems kinda odd tbh.

well, neither of the computers are mine and i doubt that their owners' would want to deal with that. didnt know that was an option that existed. but idk if it would work. edit: i just tried it and it didnt work when i tried troubleshooting its compatibility. many times. each ended the same. i did grab the copy i have now from a torrent site but my brother has his own copy (from the disc release) and it does the same. ive never used neither of them but it seems i may have to use NMM if i could get the game to workthank you millions for the response lemme bookmark this real quick

I've tried opening the game on the two computers available here at home but the game doesnt work on either. when i open the game, sometimes it will let me get to the main game menu and open a new game/old save but the screens goes black. (when i make a new character, it'll show the creation menu but nothing else.) plus, the game launcher is recognized as unsafe by the computers so i cant add any mods to the game either. I've thought about whether or not is has to do with the #-bit the game is vs the computer's software. i did notice that after the last Windows update, the game started this mess. but i don't know if that is what caused it. any and all information will help me a lot. (i also remember making a similar thread before but i could not find it.)

try to see if any other of the mods you have used that may have corrupted that if you havent?
