  1. Anyone know of the Idle animations that Phitt used in this screenshot: In Knightly Armoury?
  2. I'm having issues in that while my speeds are slow when downloading with the mod manager, it also sets it up to download from west coast servers starting with San Jose. But I'm on the East Coast, and my download options in NMM have the server location to be East Coast. I don't get these slow speeds when I'm downloading manually and when I pick east coast servers. But the mod manager itself simply doesn't want to pick them. It starts from West and goes East, and I end up having to go through the server retries a bunch of times until it can switch to one to connect to.
  3. In my opinion, creatures like the Cazadore are great. They generally require thought and preparation. Much like in the real world if you found you had to go through a region with Kodiak bears. Stay on the high ground. Do careful and patient sniping (hard). Carry a high fire 'area-effect' weapon like an SMG and hot hey it (like you keep it in a holster not your backpack). Again pick your spot, don't get jumped, run if you they get close. Use the SMG and 'fire for effect'.... They don't follow you very far. They are very territorial (protect the hive). They generally show up in small numbers. They can fairly easily be drawn off (so you kill only one at a time). They have relatively low hit points and no armor (DT & DR are both 0). They give good experience points at death due to the danger they represent. The wasp it is supposedly descended from has the most painful sting of all stinging insects. So that the poison being a booger is entirely by design and consistent with what the Tarantula Hawk Wasp (which it closely resembles just on a MUCH larger scale). If you are having problems with non-essential NPCs getting stung to death, do the Honest Hearts DLC and stock up on Datura AntiVenom (since NPCs will use that on their own). Or there are mods which enable NPCs to use plain old antivenom (if you don't have that DLC) In combat you should generally ignore the young ones until the adults are dead. The adults have more powerful poison and are 1.5 to 2x as likely to hit you. Plus they are much easier to hit (due to their size). Also worth knowing is that even though they will attack in swarms, this is not a pack mentality. It is more about that they like to sting things. So a method designed to draw one away will rarely draw more then one. I suggest that instead of looking for a way around them, you say 'challenge accepted'. One which I have considered nerfing is the Nightstalkers. They always seem to come very fast and in larger packs. However I discovered that if I shoot their legs or body instead of their head to work there. Just as a tip to add onto bjornl's excellent advice for cazadores; if you use VATS, aim for their wings with a high DPS weapon like a sub machine gun (or if you have the LMG, that will rip them to shreds. It's probably my favourite weapon to use on them). You'll easily cripple their wings, and they move a lot slower that way so you can take them out easier. They won't even have a chance to get to you if you do that. Also, if you have ED-E, make use of his sensors. Cazadores are easy to spot on the radar because they move around so erratically (though sometimes simply relying on that can make you think it's cazadores when it's really bloatflies who move in a similar manner, but better to think it's a group of cazadores and find out it's bloatflies than the other way around).
  4. I'm looking for a mod that adds an additional ammo type to the game; that being a 40mm shotgun shell that could be used in the grenade launcher or grenade rifle. I tend to play characters who travel very light (carrying three weapons at most; melee, sidearm, and primary), and I love using shotguns, but I would like to have something versatile so I could shoot 40mm grenades if I wanted as well, so carrying that kind of ammo in place of carrying an extra weapon would be awesome. Does such a mod exist, and if not is it possible to do this in the game? Disregard, realized it's in CASE.
  5. I know this is an old thread, but this is exactly the kind of thing I'd been looking for in Skyrim. Here's hoping for some more interest in things like this. Just making it a place which is less fantastic and more down to earth would be a nice touch. Fantasy Skyrim is fun, but now I'm wanting something a little more different, and this would exactly fulfil that need.
  6. I haven't much kept up with the Skyrim modding scene for quite some time, but I've been wanting to get back into it recently. However, Skyrim as a whole just isn't doing it for me anymore; since I've played a multitude of different character variations within the world, and while I enjoy the gameplay of it, I want something a little more new and fresh, and I was wondering if there's any total conversions/new worldsspaces that people or teams have been working on that are released? I do know that there's some in the works; Ethas for example, as well as Enderal; the successor of Nehrim, and some other ones (Andoran being one), but what I'm looking for is perhaps complete standalone worlds that have their own lore, their own weaponry, their own rules, etc. that have already been released and are simply being fine tuned. Are such things already out and about that I could easily download and play, or am I still in the waiting stages for things like this to be released?
  7. Oh wow, lots of good stuff there. Thanks for the recommendation, I appreciate it.
  8. So I've recently wanted to try an Energy Weapons build in game, since every other iteration I've played (both when I owned the game on PS3, and then on PC), I've always gone the regular guns route. But I'm wanting to change things up. And while the game as a whole has a fairly decent selection of energy weapons, I'm looking for more. I have most of the standard mods (I'd assume they're standard) that a lot of people have, like Project Nevada, animation replacers, better bodies, etc. And a fairly sizable number of real world weapons mods (these are great BTW, I love them), but I haven't been able to come across any energy weapons mods that seem to suit my desires in having certain standalone weapon add-ons or even energy weapon packs. I've searched on the nexus with "Energy Weapons" as well as looking on other forums via google to see if anyone has any recommended ones, but I always seem to come up short. Maybe I'm searching the wrong thing, or just not looking in the right spot? If anyone could recommend some mods that add energy weapons which are similar in the vein to the stand alone guns that Millenia and Camon have made, that would be awesome.
