  1. DOOMBASED I can only tell you how it´s told in European media; exactly as you tell it..
  2. Coming from Europe, more specific Denmark, I see no "no goe zones". I agree with GameNation, that terrorists are some bullyes that have hijacked the name of Allah, to serve their cause. They don´t get 72 virgins by the way, but only one 72 years of age...:)
  3. Well, hello Thor. I used to come here a lot. Perhaps you don´t remember me, but I remember you. Last time we spoke you were very eager to get your hands on the new GeForce GTX 480. Since that is an museum artifact today, you can tell how long time ago that is....:)
  4. Hi, I´m Balagor. I have ´nt been here for quite a while. Long story short: my whife got ill with rheumatism, and need some care from time to time. I shot down my nursery, but we have a good early retirement income. I still have all my cats, and we have each other, so it did not end up like a country song. I spend my time in "real life" and when time permits we do some lovely trips around in the nature, and I seriously work with my other passion, photography. A big hello to all my friends, who wondered where I went. I am alive, but I will still not be present here a lot. I do not even have an e-mail accont attached here. I will pass by from time to time. Hope you are all well. Hugo
  5. Not to mention that it would be too much of a bigbrother society. Also those abusing the system are perhaps less than 5 percent. It´s really nothing. Spend your money better.
  6. Who got here first? The chicken or the egg? What happens first? Do ypu become an alcoholic, then loose your job? Do you loose your job then become an alcoholic because life is a sucker? It happens either way. World is not black and white, and not only for the strong ones. That´s why we have a society, to tend to the week ones too. That day we will not do that anymore, is the day we say gooby to society, and hello to selfishness. That will be the day when we tend to our selfs and no one else. I fear that day is near, however.
  7. It can also be a lot of fun. When somebody try to place me where I do not belong, I simply try to play that role. Just out of fun, and I overplay. If somebody expect me to be gay, macho, hippie, cool, whatever, I simply try to play the role to confuse them. Though I do have troubles playing macho
  8. There a bikers who love to run a bike, the free life, etc. I love that too. Then there´s HA. In DK they have dropped the bikes (only use it for weekends), otherwise the go in BMW´s. They have become a mafia like organisation here, controlling 99 % of the drug market. Part of it is our own fault, when we forbid som drugs some years ago. State had full control of all drug dealing, but this is now in the hands of HA, and competing gangs. The competition has lead to a great danger when they start kill each other off. If you sit in a cafe, and a gang member comes and sit down near you, you better finish you coffie, before his rivals show up and start shooting. Gouvernment has been making suggestions for the past 3 years on how to forbid these gangs. Problem is, it would be unconstitutional, they would not disapear anyway if you forbid them, since you could only forbid their name and the character of their society. Then they would reestablish with a new name and a new purpose. They are simply a pest here. We can only hope that they would kill eachother off, without harming any innoncents.
  9. Reading some of the latest posts and keeping in mind that the title of this thread is "International Relations Omnibus", I will just add no matter wich laws we use, no matter wich values we refer to, old or new, no matter wich country/culture we prevail from: No one can judge one another. It is all about mutual acceptance and respect. We don´t have to understand each other, just to show mutual respect, That´s all I wanna say before this thread gets locked. So give peace a chance,
  10. @Nintii. I do not need to google failed african democracies, since I allready know, and it was not my reply on the first hand. I do not oppose dictatorships, if the dictator is doing something good for the people. Neither do I support the forcing of western democracy on any country. What I oppose is when citizens get killed, and medias blur the truth. I do not need to hear about the refugees through DK television, as I told you; they are here. Plenty. I can speak to them in vivre. You even refer to European media. I still can not recognise what you have heard, that Assad should be an angel, and the rebels are sole extremists. Still, I wonder then why our EU council has made sanction after santion against Assad´s Syria, and we fight a hard diplomatic fight against the Russians to bring those sanctions into action, if it´s all such a lie?
  11. http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/HugoBildt/My%20Art/Happy-Bday.jpg Happy B-day "Red Dog" If you ever visit DK I´ll buy you and your lovely wife a beer
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfgV9X1uLZ0 You need only one of my cats to take out a bear
  13. Paranoia. The "White Man" has always had paranoia that someone thinking or acting different should come and take what is "lawfully" his. Many times in history we have made progress by taking from others what did not belong to us. Many times did we introduce systems in other worlds, where people did not want it. Perhaps thus the paranoia.
  14. Where do you get your news? This is not the news we hear here in DK, but never mind this is not the place to discuss whos news media are the most trustworthy. What we get here in DK are the refugees, not fleeing from Muslim extremists, but from the Assad regime. The stories, the wounds the we see first hand here does not lie. The Syrian bloodshed has less to do with religion, but more with tribal nepotism, and of cause a dictator that is mentally ill.
  15. Für Germania und Danevirke  Kansler Silver you have just spelled the most difficult word in Danish; "Rødgrød" The "ø" is only known here, and is impossible to pronounce for outsiders. Immigrants are not considered 100% Danish until they can pronounce the "ø" "Æbleskiver" is another difficult word. You hereby receive an official document giving you permission to come and go as you wish, here in Danevirke.
