  1. So, I reinstalled, uninstalled, etc. the Nexus Mod Manager, but everytime it is installed, it shows a list of plugins that are now not available. It has rendered my Skyrim unusable, and I can not figure out how to get these to go away. Is there a way for me to completely wip everything, so I can get this to start running again? If you need any extra information or a screenshot, I can provide them. EDIT: I have managed to make them disappear off the list, and most of them seem to be completely gone, but I still have sexy armor in the game, so is that anything I can fix?
  2. except I made it so that it is standalone from Steam. I kind of dislike having to open steam to run my games, so I generally will mess with them a bit so that I won't need to open Steam to access them. Currently I am on a phone internet which is only 2g (slloowww), and even if I could get steam to recognize that I do indeed have internet, downloading it would take ages, compared to me going through the site and getting the patch and doing it manually.
  3. What exactly do you mean by, "a rather *cough* old version?" I mean that I still have 1.1.12 or somewhere around there. I mainly want to know, because I want to get one of the mods working ,but the program I need to get the mod working says i need to update Skyrim -.-;
  4. I own a copy of Skyrim, but loathe using Steam. I have a version that has been made to not connect to the steam cloud, so that I may better play the game without the darn quirks that Steam insists on pushing upon me. However, this also means that I have a rather *cough* old version of skyrim. Is there a place on the steam site, or the Bethesda site that will allow me to download and manually patch my game, or is the only solution to go and reconnect it with the Steam cloud? Either way, I have this feeling I am in for more work than its worth x.x EDIT: I'm caving in and going to a public wifi spot to just patch it with Steam. no more 'lazy' me. ((aka, I'm just going to reinstall Skyrim completely >.>;))
  5. To further grace your idea: Do a series of quests that will give you the locations of certain areas, like the greybeards(graybeards? too many typos!) do with the words of power. Instead of learning the word of power though, you use the elder scroll, which then prompts you to do a dungeon full of ancient beings. When you complete the dungeon, you get half a piece of armor, and collect the other half in your time in the same place. After all these pieces are gathered, you do one final quest to find the legendary Forge of the Heavens, which resides somewhere in the Sovrngarde area you get to visit in order to kill Alduin. This forge will then bring all the pieces together. It will be under a new listing, like how the Draugr stuff can only be forged at the skyforge. How's that for brainstorming? *listens to the gerbils crying out from exhaustion* :x
  6. Is a lack of humor also part of the community? o.o As for learning to Mod the stuff... I will when I get my second graphics card, but until then, my computer is on POS status. Heck.. I might even do this mod if no one else does.
  7. thank you for the apology. I meant the demand as a playful joke. Next time I shall, as you say, put a smiley. :)
  8. Uh...huh... Actually, I will have you know that my English is quite fine. The way that the word 'demand' was used is correct in that syntax. However, the title would be considered a sentence fragment, because I did not state certain things. I did this on purpose, so that I would not have an absurdly long topic title. If you are not going to contribute to the topic at hand and just wish to try to bash the English of someone who has written and published a fair share of short stories, with a book in progress, then you can take your happy trolling butt off the forums, before I report you to the admins/moderators for the flaming.
  9. oh wow. you are so completely right. I kept thinking the nine divines werent until a bit ago, when i was crafting an amulet of the nine, and realized...duh.. amulet of the nine Aedra.. I swear sometimes I think I need a lobotomy.
  10. nope. The nine divines, from what I understand, are Daedras. The two are kind of opposites in most ways. They are portrayed as Good and Evil by many, but typically aren't either. They just don't give a damn and do as they please. One of the opposites are pretty severe though, and I wonder if there might be a big story behind it. While Daedras can only be banished back to Oblivion, Aedras can actually be slain.
  11. @quiteToxick Ya, didn't quite think that through. Maybe they are corrupted and killing them isn't exactly killing them, but their corruption, like killing off kodlak's ghost wolf to free him. :D
  12. True true... but I was thinking stargate here. They could do it indirectly :P leave something for the Dovakhiin to just come across that might send him on some bizarre teasure map hunt. :biggrin:
  13. oops double posted this.. delete? .-.;;;
  14. Well... Looking at Skyrim, I had fun sitting there in my Daedric armor and loving the look of it, but when I went to restart as a new character for the umpteenth time, I decided to take the approach to the game as a Paladin. This was more or less a dark Paladin, considering I have to kill people in quests, but questing aside, I would find alternatives to being bad. While I love the look of Daedric stuff, it just doesnt feel right on a good champion. Now, before I get a bunch of people telling me: There is already Paladin mods, I would like to clarify that I don't want a 'Paladin' armor, but instead a mod that adds in alternative Aedra enemies, that drop items you need to make a completely new set of items that look to be the opposite of the demonic Daedra items. It is said in lore that the Aedra are considered good by many, and the Daedra are considered evil, so why can't we have a whole slew of stuff that is related to the Aedras?
