  1. Ah-hah, the "Face Normals" and "Update Tangent Space" functions have fixed the issue! Thanks for the advice, and thank you for also bringing Outfit Studio to my attention. I had no idea that it existed, and I can see myself using it for projects in the future (especially getting the NiTriMesh ports to vanilla assets completed, which is the only thing keeping me from releasing this on the Nexus) Again, you have my gratitude, TheWilloughbian. Have some Kudos.
  2. This isn't actually for a preexisting mod, and I'm instead asking for some personal advice in order to polish a mod of my own (Faceless Dwarven Helmet) The issue I'm having is that the NiTriShape of the Dwarven Helmet from navida1's Improved Closefaced Helmets mod is casting a very deep shadow onto an NiTriShape that I've added to the .nif file (as can be seen from the attached screenshot) All I'd like to know is are there any settings within Nifskope that I can play around with in order to fix the issue, because I've been wanting a mod like this for quite some time but nobody every bothered to make it, and this is the big issue that's keeping it from looking polished. I would test the mesh on a vanilla Dwarven Helmet, but I get errors whenever I try to copy the NiTriShape's branch into that .nif file, and I don't know how to fix them. ("failed to map parent link NiNode|Scene Root") Any input would be highly appreciated.
  3. Have you ever heard of the mod Familiar Faces?(available for Oldrim only, for now) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54509/ While it allows you to turn your save game characters into your own followers, it doesn't modify quests or the world in any way.
  4. Many have come to appreciate Chesko and Ninivekha's collaborative mod; Belt-Fastened Quivers, which relocates the quiver to a more appropriate location. Unfortunately, however, the changes made by Chesko and Ninivekha conflict with the intended function of KataPUMB's Staves on Back mod. This is due to the latter mod relying on the location of the quiver, whilst the former relocates it entirely. The result is a holstered staff that rests horizontally along the hip, which doesn't look all that appealing, nor is it practical. (My apologies for the poor quality of the image) While I don't know how deep one must go in order to make these two mods compatible, I'm hoping that it's possible without too much effort on behalf of the modder. Belt-Fastened Quivers - by Chesko and Ninivekha https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1182 Staves on Back - by KataPUMB https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10530 Cheers.
  5. A relatively simple request; flatten the intricate meshes of the face on the Dwarven Helmet. Unfortunately, I have little to no knowledge regarding Blender and other modeling programs, as well as making said models functional within the Skyrim engine, so I've come here to see if anybody's up for a small challenge. If all goes well, it'll still be compatible with regular textures, and I'll be able to fix up the textures and normal maps afterwards, so don't be concerned about that part. (I'm using navida1's Improved Closefaced Helmets mod for this example image) Cheers.
  6. I've been getting back into New Vegas for the past few days by preparing it for a heavily-modded run on my relatively-new PC, and I've had to deal with all the ins-and-outs before, but I haven't seen anything like this. See, Mod Organiser's affiliate programs (LOOT, Wrye Flash) refuse to work correctly whenever there is are any active files containing NVSE plugins. I don't know why this is happening, I've searched for the past 5 hours for an answer, and I'm juts tired now. So tired, perhaps, that there's a completely logical resolution to this all that simply eludes me in my exhausted stammering. I've tried reinstalling all the affiliate programs (eg, NVSE, Wrye Flash), reinstalling Mod Organiser (and even reverting to older, more stable versions) verifying the integrity of the game cache... I'm at the end of my rope now, so I'll just have to ask you guys if you can help. Thanks.
