  1. -Well there is that perk where if you're wearing all the same type of armor, it weighs nothing. I just don't want the player carrying 10 different suits of armor, and 20 different swords. Maybe a few swords and one suit of armor. -and for the "swing and miss" system, I'm not saying where you swing at an immobile mudcrab and you miss, I saying that you have a low percent rating where you actually hit them, and enemies are ALWAYS moving. The perks your referring to are skill level 50 and 70 for light and heavy respectively. You want to run around naked or nearly so until you reach that point? And I'm not understanding the "low percentage rating" part of that. I'm saying that it would be total BS if you swing and your sword appears to make contact with the enemy but it counts as a miss and the enemy takes 0 damage, as in Morrowind. And I'm well aware that the "enemies are ALWAYS moving". That's not the point, The point is that your chances of hitting and doing damage or missing and doing no damage shouldn't depend on the roll of dice. This isn't D&D or Morrowind. I never said that it's definitely going to be a maximum of 50lbs, I said maybe. It can easily be changed, but I'm trying to get the point across that you shouldn't be able to carry around 50 items on you. Remember, this is hardcore mode that emphasizes survival. Also, with the hit percentage, it was a suggestion. Again, it can be altered, or changed. how about you swing pretty slowly at first with a new sword, and the damage is low. The more kills you get with that sword, the faster you swing it, and the more damage it deals. That would seem more realistic. Of course, you won't get to the point where you swing it as fast as the Elemental Fury shout, but slightly faster then before. Sounds good to me.
  2. I'm actually working on that right now. The problem is that I don't know how to get him to hold the sword and swing it with only one hand without just setting the animation to 1H swords which causes the character to draw the sword as if it were sheathed at his side as with 1H swords while the 2H sword is on his back. For some reason the sword will not render in the character's main-hand and remains on his back but it does render in his off-hand simultaneously as (hopefully) seen here. http://i42.tinypic.com/qovvgk.jpg I have a plan for a remedy but I'm somewhat inexperienced at modding especially with the new CK so don't hold your breath. Also I thought of a way of possibly balancing this feat by changing the swing speed of the swords to be even slower than the speed of swinging 2H weapons while actually using two hands. What do you think?

  4. I suppose you could make a spell that runs the TFC command but I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of "lore friendly."
  5. I don't believe that's what either of us are looking for. Those modders seem so know considerably more about this than I do however and you may want to contact them to make this request. Good luck, hope you are successful in this endeavor.
  6. Interesting idea. -Not being dragon born would be alright. Possibly adjust the function so that you still have some sort of natural aid to start with nut nerf them considerably to maintain the sense of hardcore gameplay. -50lbs carrying weight is simply outrageous however. I haven't looked at the weight of the armor in-game in some time but I'm quite sure you wouldn't be able to wear a full set of any of it if 50lbs is your limit. -The Morrowind system of swinging your sword and a nearly completely stationary crab and missing it is preposterous in my opinion however and the thought of being trounced by a mudcrab is borderline Dark SoulsTM. Simple brutality -I also recall a mod but the name escapes me. It was for Oblivion and made it so that you would actually need to eat food or you would suffer severe negative effects and possibly die (not sure on the death part, can't quite remember). If you're looking for a more realistic survival scenario that may fit your tastes. The rest of the ideas are good in my opinion however. Hopefully someone will pick this up.
  7. There's been a recent release... Unique beasts I think it's called? Supposedly makes it easier to make more unique body types, so that might really help out. Given that tool and someone who knows how to mesh (Because I have no friggin' idea), it'd be pretty awesome, I think. Lemme know if Unique Beasts helps at all! Can't seem to find what you're referring to. Would you kindly post a link to it?
  8. If whoever runs the tutorials at the Creation Kit Wiki website would expand their tuts and explain how to create new races I would be more than happy to oblige your request and would appreciate the fitting exterior cell.
  9. I'm slightly new to modding but still pretty inexperienced. I am also, however, highly ambitious and confident in my abilities to make this happen. I would like to create the province of Hammerfell in TES V: Skyrim. Being aware that I will need massive amounts of assistance on this project, I am requesting that anyone who is at all interested in helping in any way let me know. I especially need help with using the Skyrim Creation Kit as some of the guide articles and tutorials at http://www.creationkit.com/ are somewhat lacking in certain areas. So if you are experienced with the CK please shoot me and email or pm. http://i54.tinypic.com/20sga5y.jpg "I wanna cross the border... There's nothing left for me here" http://i44.tinypic.com/vil76d.jpg Considering me sever lack of knowledge of TES lore I would be basing my mod off of this gorgeous map created by Zephyr over at Tamriel Rebuilt, as well as my own creative intuition. (there was some kind of error with the link to the full sized image but you can just google "tamriel rebuilt" and click on "maps" on the top result where you should be able to find it to see it in all its glory) P.S. If you know of anyone else or any other groups that have already begun to work on this please let me know so I can stop wasting everyone's time and contact them.
