Firstly in response to your topic Dan, yes, it is absolutely fascinating and one of the fields of science I have had a lifelong call and passion for. With all scientific theories they are from time to time exposed to new information they may reset their parameters, if not their foundations. Case in point with the recent discovery of the faster then light experiment. For me quantum physics is the building block science, and it constantly reminds me that the information we receive through our five senses, though important to us, is not actual reality, although I am not precluding that we can experience "actual reality".
