  1. Thanks for trying, and the kind words, anyway. :)
  2. I know, and I live way the hell out in the middle of the Ozarks during winters. I take care of my grandmother and her homestead during winters (firewood and animals, etc). It's like 30min from a gas station or store, and another 45 to a small little redneck town. No chance in hell of getting anything computer related unless it's sold at a walmart. I had to come out here about 2 weeks after my place was robbed. I don't know enough about hardware to trust that I'm ordering the right stuff online, and I don't even know if UPS or Fedex comes out here. We're not even on google maps. I guess they would leave it with the postal service in town if not. Meh.
  3. I didn't have anything to do with my display breaking. I take very good care of everything I own. My house was burglarized, and when my things were recovered, it came back with a shattered screen. Believe me, this would not have EVER happened, had it been in my care the whole time. :(
  4. I posted the specs of my machine both here, and in the post you directed me here from, I clearly stated my issue was Nvidia Optimus and getting my PC to stop using my onboard video, and to start using my (GTX 960m) with Skyrim Special Edition. A lot of this isn't making sense because my post and problem were clear. And I've posted enough information here (including the individual serial number of my specific machine) to really plainly illustrate what my laptop is. There is no "variation" of my specific machine. Specs were posted above. I also tried the 60hz fix that you suggested (that was one of the first things i did), and just tried it again as well. It was ineffective. I have also removed the FPS lock in the .ini file, and virtually every single tweak or suggestion on the web as well. This is very frustrating.
  5. I couldn't get a result from that Number. The S/N is GE72 2QC-264USK1507000725
  6. Barcode Scanned from a Samsung Galaxy S7 Produced this #: 4231573725786
  7. MSI Apache Pro GE72-2QE Why would the individual serial number be relevant? The screen is going to be compatible with every single "GE72-2QE" on the planet, despite individual serials. This is the exact display that comes in the Laptop: "17.3 inch 16:9, 1920x1080 pixel, Chi Mei N173HGE-E11, TN LED, Full HD, glossy: no"
  8. Hello, I followed your link from my post. I was thankful to see that one person out of the 69 people who viewed it are actually aware of and attempting to fix the issues with the "using an external monitor with a laptop" problem. A few things should be noted here. -I can't get into my BIOS for any reason, because the laptop screen is shattered and it won't allow me to use the HDMI connected TV until Windows has launched. -I have tried all of the .ini file tweaks, disabling GeForce Experience, Using Nvidia Inspector, etc... that people have recommended. If I have attempted something suggested I will let you know. -I am running a native 1366 x 768 Resoluion -If I disable my onboard Intel GPU, I get zero display, and from what I understand this indicated that I have Optimus or an equivalent. SYSTEM SPECS (More than enough): Operating System Windows 8.1 64-bit CPU Intel Core i7 @ 2.60GHz 58 °C Haswell 22nm Technology RAM 12.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard Micro-Star International Co. 9. I have a MSI Apache Pro GE72-2QE 17.3" Gaming Laptop. It was damaged in an attempted burglary, and I have to use my TV as a monitor now, connected via HDMI cable. For whatever reason, SSE is not willing to utilize my dedicated GPU and, instead, I am getting ridiculously low FPS (14-32) that make this pretty much unplayable. I believe this is also why I get a black screen on start unless I play in Borderless Windowed mode. I see that a LOT of laptop users using external displays have these issues, and was wondering if there was a mod or utility that would allow me to fix this. Apparently there was something created for Old Skyrim, but I can't seem to find anything here, and hours of poring through forums and using different searches have led me to the last resort of posting here. The typical fixes don't work, so Nvidia Geforce Experience/Control Panel Tweaks, .ini changes, and those things have yielded zero results. There has to be something I can do, and I appeal to the community to help me out as a last resort. I'm at my wits end. 10. Well, unfortunately I am very new to modding, so I couldn't trace my issue. But I DID get the game working. I simply used the "ENB and ReShade Remover by olbins" and then used LOOT to get a sense of my load order, making minor adjustments (on my own recognizance) based on another Nexus thread. This is the link to the ENB Removal tool: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5347/? And This is the Link to the Nexus thread pertaining to load order. I recommend reading it all versus skimming like a lot of eager gamers (even I am guilty of this at times) tend to do: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10844/? This may not fix everyone's CTD issues, but it sure saved my butt today. I will tinker with the whole ENB thing once I have become more informed and understand the mechanics better. Cheers!
  11. Actually, several reports say "NVflex.ba2" is supposed to be there... Here's a link to a Steam troubleshooting guide about it (Pre DLC, showing that the "questionable" .ba2 file is supposed to be there as of core content only). https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/412449508281618691/ I think it may actually be an ENB issue. I have been using a few ENB's from day 1 and never updated or looked back once I got them working. I also hadn't thought to look at them since this CTD issue started a few hours ago. They weren't causing issue prior, but I'm thinking one of my new mods might have caused a conflict with an ENB preset. I will post findings in case I figure out what the conflict was and can save someone future bald spots.
  12. Well, that's a sharp eye. I haven't been to bed yet. Went from playing to deciding on grabbing some new mods, to CTD'ing and pulling my hair out! Thank you for the spot. I will look into it now.
  13. So, after disabling the mods and checking the "Data" folder, I only see files that look like they're associated with the core game or the DLC (I have all of the DLC). Would anyone mind taking a look at these screenshots and tell me if something doesn't belong there? I am not willing to un/re-Install unless it is absolutely necessary. (I will post a reply to this with a second screenshot as the files are too large)
