The way is pretty simple - not to follow the orders of Daedric Princes, and therefore not completing their quest.
Most of Skyrim's missions are neutral, though. Let me demonstrate on your example.
"But now I am stuck, the House of Horrors mission seems to be giving me no choice but to take an evil path and follow the will of the Daedric Lord, Molag Bal even when I have tried to reject following his path at every turn"
- Molag Bal is Daedric Lord of domination and manipulation, and it makes perfect sense that he forces you to do his bidding - by
making Stendarr's Vigilant go mad and locking you up in the house.
You, however, aren't forced to follow his orders to the letter beyond that.
"But now even though I went to rescue Logrolf the Willful"
- Who is, apparently, the priest of Lord Boethiah. If you want being good, why do you mess with Daedra anyway?
"I knew there was no good ways out of that mission without killing the teacher"
- And left the poor kids from the orphanage in the hands of sadistic sociopath...
"dont even take bounty mission that kill Giants since I view them as peaceful creatures in the game"
- Who raid peasants, killing them and stealing their livestock...
"been good is not an option in Skyrim thats one freedom of path the game simply does not have"
- Just like real life...
I see what your saying, but its to easy to embark on one of these missions without knowing what you getting into, for example the House of Horrors mission, I just felt I would be helping a brother out by accompanying him with checking out the house, but screw it, like I say its impossible to play the game without getting trapped into a mission with nothing but evil choice outcomes at some point, I would probably have started the Aventus Aretino mission already if I did not know better from previous games, so am literately am going to have to change my approach and bend the rules I wanted to play by some what in order to continue.
Just tick me a little that there is not always at least a some what good guy option to complete a mission, at least in situations where you did not know what you where getting into in the first place, if you can reject a mission that you know beforehand is a moral bad guy role like been asked to steal or murder then fair play, but going in blind and having only evil outcomes, even if the good guy root is not as rewarding achievement wise would have been better I feel, like say for example instead of killing the teacher in the Lost Innocence mission you have the option of intimidating her to leave Skyrim but you don't get payment because you dont complete the contacted which was to kill her, could even make it costly like having to take her to the carriage outside the city and pay the driver to take her away, would at least then offer a good character path out of the mission.
But it is what it is, so guess I will just have to go with plan B which is if you cant be good then dont profit from it, am in fact going to sacrifice every item even Gold I have on me inside Bleak Falls Barrow each item I am forced to take an evil action, my game punishment will be as follows.
Journey to Bleak Falls Barrow, will use Fast Travel because not doing will drive me insane in real life lol, but then go thought the Barrow to the chest at the end and discard every possible Item from my inventory except a monk rope than I will always from now on carry just in case, will started storing Gold in my house though so not to totally rape myself, will become like a tactical derision each time I leave home base exactly how much gold to take with me, in fact I think it will add to the game play giving me extra intensive to stick to the good path.

What you could do is just roleplay that you come under a terrible spell and that otherworldly forces force you to beat the man, and then afterwords you dedicate yourself to wiping out the followers of Molag Bal to regain your honor. You could punish yourself by going on a sort of pilgrimage across Skyrim in nothing but monk robes and if you come out alive you're redeemed. Or you could do something else along these lines.
The thing you have to realize about these sorts of characters is that instances of evil aren't bad, so long as you can redeem yourself in some way.
Yea not bad solution, just raps me that there is not way to deny the will of the Daedric Lords, obviously its what the designers intended to make it so you have take part in at least some evil in there game, but personally I would sooner have the choice to fight against and deny the will of the Daedric Lords, even if it meant you had to give up the weapons or any other equipment you get from there missions, take House of Horrors, if there was some ways of defeating Molag Bal, if not to kill completely at least to be able to deny his will, like say for example you had do destroy the Weapon via some means to to combat his possession over you and even on top of which you had to find and always carry some kind of amulet in your inventory to repel his evil forces ways else he would constantly have some kind of dark force hunting you down in the game making it hell to try and go anywhere or complete any other mission via having his demons haunt your path adding a level of unbearable difficulty without the amulet or something of that nature, anything like that I would have considered a better gameplay option.
But dam it now I going to have to think up a way to punish my character to redeemed the evil actions I will be forced to take, may start by locking all the Daedric objects I gather from completing evils missions away in some wiped out cave, in fact I got it, my punishment shall be I will not allow myself to fast travel until I have locked any Items of value gained from these missions away in the chest at the end of Bleak Falls Barrow never to be used again.

Ok so I'm on a path in my current game where I am playing with a total good guy approach, have come quite far and have not committed any crimes, not stole anything and have always took the morally correct path in every mission and choice I have had to make.
Was hoping to go though the entire game with this always be the good guy characteristic, have not even took anything more than a few healing potions and scraps of food from the people I have helped when they are willing to give or let me take more Items, took nothing from them of real value like gems, jewellery or weapons, I even paid for the Steal Ingots from Alvor at the beginning of the game even though I escaped with Hadvar and could of took them without stealing.
But now I am stuck, the House of Horrors mission seems to be giving me no choice but to take an evil path and follow the will of the Daedric Lord, Molag Bal even when I have tried to reject following his path at every turn, have already had to kill the guy I entered the house with, was not happy about it but figured he attacked me, I tried to talk to him to see if we could work together to not have to kill each other but no joy, seemed there was no option he was attacking me, he was the one who become hostile all be it thanks to some dark force, and thats one morel rule I am playing the game by "only kill those who try to kill you, so now he is dead.
But now even though I went to rescue Logrolf the Willful seems I am still going to have to beat him to death or submission to complete this mission, have checked Youtube for another option and nothing, dam it come this far just been good and now I have to break all that because it seems the game gives you no choice but to be the bad guy.
I have checked all resources for a different option and I know there is no other way out to complete this mission than beating Logrolf the Willful to death at the will of this evil Daedric Lord so this is just my rant, just think for a game thats been praised so highly for its freedom in gameplay options and paths, is in fact very restrictive when it comes to wanting to play the role of the incorruptible hero since there are missions you cant not get dragged into that force you to be corrupted,
I avoided the Aventus Aretino mission for this very reason, I knew there was no good ways out of that mission without killing the teacher, rejected joining the thieves guild or any mission been forced to steal, dont even take bounty mission that kill Giants since I view them as peaceful creatures in the game, but no matter how hard you try the game is going catch you out with mission that gives you nothing but evil choices, been good is not an option in Skyrim thats one freedom of path the game simply does not have.

just this very moment had a good one.
Just outside of Riften on the road towards the Black Beard Lodge just before the Bridge, passed 3 Stormcloak Guards, gave me the usual speech about "If you know any true Son and Daughters....." then just as I was walking off a single Imperial Guard dropped about of a Tree, yep never see anythign like it before but he must have been hiding up a tree, bow in hand ready like he had just waited for them to pass, and I just stood back and watched has he single handedly took out all 3 Stormcloaks
Have not picked a side of the war yet so I just remained a spectator to the battle, after got me thinking Stormcloak are a bunch of Pussy's,

Although I can appreciate the level of detail thats gone into creating Dovahkiin Hideout, I have tried this mod out and its not for me, I love the idea of a shared basement which I can stall all my items in which I can access from any house I own in the game, the only issue I have with Dovahkiin Hideout is that its too big with all the different rooms available and therefore not as convenient as what I have in mind.
What I am thinking is a much more simplified version, a very compact area where I can stall tons of items and access them quickly with efficiently.
Just one simple open plan space slip into 5 areas, one for cooking, one for Enchanting, one for Alchemy, one for Smiting.and finally a storage area for Weapons and Armour where I can easily identify what Itens are been stored in which chests.
First off the Weapons and Armour Storage Area, and not worried about having lots of Weapons racks or mannequins where I can display all my Items, all I want is a series of chests where I can store Items Items of different types such as Steel, Iron, Elven, Dwarfish etc, Ideally I would like 2 chests for each given type of Weapon in the game, one for Enchanted Items of the given type and one for None Enchanted Items. Additionally I would like say 4 Extra Chest at the end just to store Misc Items that may not fall into one of the main categorises. For simplicity in Identifying what I have stalled in Each Chest
I would like each Chest to be labelled individually (maybe some kind of nice designed metal en-carved sign that simply states the Item type that is to be placed in the chest, for example sign reading "Steal Weapons" or "Elven Weapons Enchanted". Just one simple Chest sign posted for each possible type of Weapon or Armour I can have in the game, with a added few chests at the end for unique items or Items created using extra Mods that may not be part of the Vanilla Version.
As a quick point of reference the break down of the different forms of categorisation I would like to see separated into different chests each labelled as started above are as follow.
Material type - Steel, Iron, Glass, Elven, etc...
Enchanted / None Enchanted
Armour Separate from Weapons
Making a total of 4 chests per Material Type,Weapons both Enchanted and UnEnchanted and Armour both Chanted and UnEnchanted, with a simple area of chest dedicated to Misc items that do not meet the conditions of the standard format above. Additionally and Area for Bows and Arrows, one Single Chest Labelled "Bows" where I can Stall all my Bows and a single Barrel right next to it where I can stall all my Arrows, another single chest can be Labelled "Staffs".
The Alchemy Area All I want here is one place for Ingredients (the bag on the table in the game is perfect) One Book Shelf where I can store any Crafting recipes I own, and maybe a few Labelled Chests to make a few categorised of different potion types, Personally I would Just Separate by there purpose, one for health and general self improvement, one for hurting enemies, one for game perks such as better Smithing, Enchanting etc, and finally one misc chest for anything else.
The Smithing Area all the Smithing tools I need and just a few chests for the following Items
Ore
Ingots
Leather / Pelts / Strips
Jewels / Gems
Misc Items
Cooking area Just a simple compact cooking space with a few barrels lying around for different food types, maybe a separate place labelled up for Sail Piles, other than that just another couple of Barrels one for cooking ingredient and raw Items, another for Complete and Cooked Items.
Enchantment area, One Simple chest along side the Enchantment table should do just fine to store Filled Soul Gems, should you with to Store unfilled Soul Gems could maybe just add a second Chest although I problem here using the same one.
Maybe to top it off could just add a convenience area with just say 4 to 6 Extra Cheats (none labeled) just for players to use at will for any random Items.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Remember the key design around this Basement unlike Dovahkiin Hideout which is a great alternative should you want something more extravagant and decorative, is EFFICACY, which means no doors not stares, all open plan quick to access and find what you are looking for with the help of Labelled Chests for storage all disrupted in a logical easy and quick to access way within the compact basement the compact space, everything think I need right at my finger tips, NO attentional Items of decoration to get in the way, like tables, stools etc, just a cool dirty basement made up of 4 walls that I can use for pure storage.
Finally like in Dovahkiin Hideout where you have a different door to take you back to each different house you can purchase in the game, Just have a way to access they houses you can purchase, only grant access to the given house once you own it, and importantly Stick a Sign on each door saying which location exactly it will bring you out in.

One game that I completed back in the days when it was first released and again more recently when I saw it on offer in steam was Max Payne, never played No.2 although I do own it via steam purchased at the same time I purchased the original.
Anyone who has never played this game I recommend checking it out at some point, its an absolute classic in its genre, everything that was good about old school 3rd person action shooters is right there in this game such as the old school heath bar that can only be topped up with one single item (Pain Killers) and the classic bullet time dive, playability equals pure quality.

Update:
Just thought should anyone feel up for making this Mod then the same feature could be added to spells to identify if you already have the spell or not.
The benefit of this would be when you are looking through different spells to purchase in shops you would always be able to see if you already have the spell or not, which could save time having to come out of the shop to check your Magic inventory to see if you already have the spell you where interested in buying, or buying a spell you already own and wasting Gold.

i used to be an adventurer like you......etc
just watched a funny video on YT that made me this of this topic based on this quote

Just bumping this request since did not get much response so not sure if anyone who knows how to create mods feels like giving it a go, know nothing about creating mods myself so have no idea how difficult it may be to create this feature or if its even possible, but feel there is a good chance it maybe quick and easy for someone to create this who knows what they are dong.

Some kind of Icon added to the display information of Enchanted items to identify if you already have the Enchantment unlocked or not, this could help you decide if you want to purchase or keep hold of Enchanted items if you only want them for the Enchantment.
Just something simple like a open or closed lock icon been displayed to indicate if you already know the Enchantment.

As soon as I left Whiterun to start my first mission to go kill a Bandit Leader, before the town of Whiterun was even out of my sight the game just wanted me dead, I was attacked by Two Dragons simultaneously along with 3 or 4 Sabertooth Tigers, and a pack of wolfs must have been 4 or 5 of them...
If you're still getting sabretooth tigers rather than cave bears, you must not have been much more than level 20. I wish my enemies were wimps like dragons or sabretooth tigers. And if you're getting pwned by them, you really need to practice your skill with a weapon. You should be able to beat enemies like that with an iron dagger in one hand and an ale in the other (the way I do). :pirate:
No worries there, that was just on one of many test runs I had when learning the game just to figure out what kind of skills I want to use, have restarted that many times just because I wanted to check out a different race or build up different skills, or make different path choices, have never been past Level 27 before with just starting again to try out different things.
Have a great Idea now after all those test runs of exactly how I want to go about the game, and the character I currently have going is totally bad ass and very well balanced, I use a mixture of duel single weapon attacks and Destruction spells, am a little behind on two handed weapons to where I would like to be, but am building it up when I get the chance against weaker enemy's, Heavy Armour is so stacked up arrows just bounce off me most the time, and when I am deadly serious about taking out a tough enemy I just go sprinting right in with double War Axes for highlight real kills, nothing the game has been throwing at me recently has even come close to giving me any problems, am fairly sure right now I could take out a cave bear bare handed.

 i gave Faendal to the blades..............
hhhmmmm have no idea what your talking about but sounds like something I will do to Sven when I get the chance :)
-
Know nothing about creating Mods so have no idea how difficult this could be.
But how about and Archery competition bet with Faendal as a side mission.
Simple Idea is you add a Archery range, and have a series of bets with Faendal to see who can hit the target closest to the middle.
Difficultly could be increased throughout different levels by increasing the distance to the target, and by adding movement to the Target via having it able to swing on some rope just like a pendulum, speed of movement could also be increased under these conditions to increase difficulty.
Reward could be Faendal teaches you what he knows about Archery without paying the costs for each round you win, hence 5 rounds with increased difficulty available in order to learn all you can from him.
Rules could be, you need to win the current Level in order to progress to the next and it costs you 100 Gold each time you lose a try, but you could keep going forever until you achieve all 5 levels, the better you do just makes the achievements cheaper to accomplish the less chances to need to win, could even work out more expensive than just paying for the lessons if you lose enough times its just the gamble you take.

I have restarted the game many many times in the short time I have owned it like most I am sure, I recall once doing the smithing trick where you create loads of Iron daggers to boost your rating early in the game, I tried this went and created tons of daggers and hide bracers, and went enchanting them with petty soul gems also, used the glitches cheats with the hidden chests to fund the resources I needed and via selling the enchanted daggers.
Game Wise I had not left Whiterun, had played up to killing the first dragon, was already above level 20 in the overall game, already had a house tons of weapons etc. before I even chose to leave Whiterun and go out on a mission, Smithing Level was SkyHigh, Enchantment Level was SkyHigh, combat and armour skills where none existent.
As soon as I left Whiterun to start my first mission to go kill a Bandit Leader, before the town of Whiterun was even out of my sight the game just wanted me dead, I was attacked by Two Dragons simultaneously along with 3 or 4 Sabertooth Tigers, and a pack of wolfs must have been 4 or 5 of them, Lydia was lasting all of 5 second once the slaughter began so I was by myself, Combat and Armour skills where so bad that I never stood a chance, there I was thinking this is it I have all these bad ass weapons I crafted and enchanted, all this bad ass Armour I forged, like I was ready to go out and kick some ass thinking I was going to be unstoppable, and the game throws me right into a ruthless no win situation which I could not get passed the second I stepped out the gates, I was like WTF did not see that one coming, had to start again the game was broken though lack of proportion on actually been able to use the Items created effectively.
Learned that day never to let Smithing and Enchanting level up your game, let them build up naturally while you increase your Weapons and Armour Skills in proportion, those YT videos that lead you to think that doing that to get the best Items quickly are just Bull S*!!t
Another WTF moment was Killing the Chicken as soon as I entered Riverwood, or trying out the Nord Battle Cry Power inside Riverwood right at the start of the game, just to see what it does. Can tell you now nether of these actions is a good idea.

I was thinking something very simple like when you put your crosshairs on an enemy it comes up with a very suttle (almost transparent) description of what level Soul Gem the creature would fill.
Could be incorporated into a complete crosshair update that also improves the standard crosshairs used in the game.
Another Idea could be this feature only activates when you have the Soul Trap spell active or are holding a weapon with a Soul Trap Enchantment, to stop it getting repetitive when not required.

Well thet's strange man I checked the skyrim wiki for you and all I found thet she is actualy a whitch and if you kill her steal from her she or her sister will send a group of mercenaries on you to kill you but it isn't say anithing about being haunted by her if you kill her.
Well I cant be sure, if it is haunted its very discreet up to now, its not as if I have seen her ghost or anything so obvious to suggest this is right, I just think its strange that the objects I stole from her house keep moving around the room when I leave, also I have never seen it actually happen, its always when I am away from the house, so who knows maybe its just a glitch or something, maybe someone wants to check it out for themselves to see if same thing happens to them to test the theory.
Also I have just checked a video on YouTube to see if there is an axe in the table at Valtheim Towers where I think one was thrown at me, and there is one there which kind of blows my theory on that one, but still cant help but think that that axe just appeared very quickly right in front of me stuck in the table like it had just been thrown at me, but then since there is an axe there maybe I just missed it and noted it all of a sudden, was kinda weird how it just seemed to appear happen really quickly so cant quite be sure, going to take it with me on a few more quests and see if anything else strange happens.

Ok so I checked out the basement of Anise's Cabin, read her note and when I came back up she became hostile and I was forced to killer her.
Now I think I am haunted by her Ghost in the game,
Ok usually I never steal in the game but after killing her I decided to loot the cabin as you would even though the objects where highlighted as "Steel" even after she was dead. In there I found a Flute, a Drum and what I think is most important a unique object called a Spigot (kind of looks like a pipe) which is something I have never seem anywhere else in the game.
Anyway I point out these 3 objects specifically because rather than sell the objects I used those 3 objects (Flute, Drum and Spigot) to decorate my own house in Whiterun and since then strange things have happened,
first of all I always placed Flute and the Drum together on the box behind the table in the living area of the house, here they cant be knocked over when walking around the house, I have tested this by running up against the table to see if I can obstruct them and nothing, they cant be knocked over where they are.
The Spigot which I wanted to keep because it valueless to sell, the stats are weight=2 value=1, but since it is unique I don't want to get rid in case it does hold some kind of purpose somewhere in the game, even thought its not locked in your inventory like quest items tend to do, so I leave it on the shelf in the living/dining area just before you enter the alchemy room, again this is small enough to place on the back of the shelf where it cant be knocked off.
So basically what keeps happening is every time I leave the house and come back the 3 objects are always moved around and on the floor somewhere so I have to keep putting them back where I want them whenever I return from a quest, I have a lute which is not stolen from the Cabin on display with the Drum and the Flute and this always remains untouched.
This got me thinking after having this problem occur a few times maybe its the Spigot, maybe its haunted, and since I was getting sick of placing my objects back in position I decided to take it out the house to see if it made a difference, then went to get ready for a quest and ended up leaving it on my for the quest rather than getting rid in an empty barrel round the back of War maidens where I throw any junk like old bounty notes etc, and something really strange happened when I was on the quest, I when to kill there Bandit Leader at Valtheim Towers and after completing the mission and was just looting the place out, a woodcutters axe flew straight past me from know where (never hit me) and stuck into a table within the tower where I was just gathering some food from, kind of freaked me out when I realised at that point that I had forgot to ditch the Spigot and still had it on me.
Was wondering if any of you guys had this object and was experiencing similar issues when storing or carrying the object?

Not so much a quote, but I like telling random Thalmor warriors that I find wondering around the plans that "I believe in Talos" just to start fights with them.

Unlocked Enchantment Recognition
in Mod Ideas
Posted
When I am viewing an Enchanted Weapon in a shop or in my inventory, I would love to have a mod that lets me know if I already have the Enchantment unlocked or not, just something very simple like a small icon added to the information screen you get in game to review the weapon.
The reason I would love this mod is because I may be interested in buying the item just to Disenchant, however I don't always know if I already have the Enchantment, so I may waste my gold buying the Item only to take it to a Enchantment Table and find out I already have the Enchantment.
Hope someone feels like giving this a go, would be great thanks
