This made me laugh. Although I don't understand. If by "Ye olde Skyrim" you mean LE, then SKSE IS available for it. If you still meant SE, then nevermind... No updates since the brief note on the Silverlock page in April.

Lol! Yeah, not a bad idea. We'll need a group name. How about: Oldish Legendary Delvers - Forever Against Rascals Trolling Skyrim. (Okay, I was reaching for that one. Sorta like "Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division"... ZING!)

Here's the new Brodual video about Bruma. No new info, but it's an excellent review.

Hmm. At this time I'm only a few points in the positive. So here's a few more... Skyrim SE Shimmering, flickering! GTX 1060 6GB
LeddBate replied to suesoi1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Have you tried borrowing another monitor to test? If not, try that. If you still get the problem, at least you can rule out your monitor malfunctioning. If you have a spare GPU you can get your hands on, try swapping that out too. -
Fair enough...

Oh gawds, no! I don't want my thread to get locked and myself banned... Just don't say his name three times and we'll be fine. Ding! Ding! Ding! Also, why didn't either of you vote? (Puppy dog eyes)

Looking for custom player home recommendations for SSE
LeddBate replied to InApril's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Elianora has ported a few of her fantastic houses to SE. Her version of Breezehome may be just what you're looking for. Be sure to sort her files using the "Skyrim Special Edition" selection to filter out the non-SE houses to save you time. Also, you might want to repost this in the Skyrim Special Edition forum to get more attention and answers.- 1 reply

i'm about to f***ing punch a f***ing wall because of tes5edit
LeddBate replied to skannerz22's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Maybe there is a setting in TES5edit that you can alter the click functions with? Try another mouse that gives you more options with it's own app. (It might override whatever is causing the double-clicks.) Also, please don't hit me... -
Be sure to scroll down to see ALL the screenshots. New ones posted at least once a week (unless the poll slips into the negative points. I can take a hint.) UPDATED WITH NEW FUNNIES: 04-01-18 Hey everyone! So, I've been playing awhile in both LE and SE (looks at Steam log of hours played and flinches) and I've taken quite a few screenshots. Many of which just begged to be "altered". So, I've decided to share them with you in the hope that you will find them funny. If I make you laugh any at all, I will be happy. However, I know my sense of humor might be a little... strange to other people. So, I've also decided to make this a poll. If I see more positive points accruing, I'll post more pics. (I've got plenty.) But if I see more negative points piling up, I'll slow down posting or even stop if too many negative points accrue. Feel free to post your own funny pics here, but remember that all of the Nexus TOS rules apply. I would prefer that you embed images (like mine are) rather than just links. But that's up to you. Also, please only vote on the poll concerning MY pics. (So I know whether to keep posting or not.) Finally, for some strange reason, people seem to think I'm funny in the forums. So I'll also post a few... er, "posts" that people told me made them chuckle. Odahviing: “Yo, Dovahkinda. Wut up?” Me: “I told you not to call me that!” At least it's not a MLP mod... http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae239/CON-Troll/Dovahkinda/Dovahkinda011.jpg Mod used: Unicorn (LE) Stormcloaks need not apply... http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae239/CON-Troll/Dovahkinda/Dovahkinda009.png Mod used: Holds-The City Overhaul (LE) Holds-The City Overhaul (SE) Don't piss off daedric lords. http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae239/CON-Troll/Dovahkinda/Dovahkinda008.png Truthful and TMI at the same time. http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae239/CON-Troll/Dovahkinda/Dovahkinda007.png If only you actually had these reply options. http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae239/CON-Troll/Dovahkinda/Dovahkinda006.jpg Note: Can anyone guess the movie and character from the 2nd response? Odahviing: (Looks up from eating a cow and waves with one wing.) TJ: *GULP* “Ah, er, -is that your dragon?” Me: "Yep, so let's skip the whole 'okay, you got me, I'm a Talos worshiper' dance and talk about what in Oblivion is eating you guys." TJ: "Uhm, okay. Well, it's like this. Reality... this reality -mortality that is, is a prison imposed upon us. All we want to do is unmake time so that we return to what we originally were. A single race/entity in a complete transcendent reality. No death, no mortality." Me: "Okay. I'm with you so far. So... If I understand this correctly, Nirn -all of Mundis, would simply... what? Cease to exist? Doesn't that murder us all?" TJ: "No, no. Mundis would never come into being at all. You wouldn't die, you simply would never have existed in the first place. How can you murder something that never existed?" Me: "Uhm, is this like that 'Chicken and the egg' riddle Ma told me about?" TJ: "What?" Me: "You know... -what came first, the chicken or the egg?" TJ: "What in Oblivion are you blathering about you stupid Nord monkey-brained.... uh-oh..." WHAM! Me: (Cleans gore off of warhammer.) Odahviing: (Stomps up road and looks down at considerably shorter Thalmor) "Didn't go well?" Me: "Hey, I tried. I went full metaphysical with him and he reverted to name calling." (Gestures at Thalmor) "You hungry?" Odahviing: (Picks cow horn out between teeth) "Naw, I'm good. What now?" Me: "Well, there's two more of them just up the road." You should be good. Honestly, I don't know if the 32bit version of Win 7 will hold you back in any way when playing SE. I don't think it will. If your Win 7 is 64bit, then you will have no issues at all playing either version. SE = more stability, but somewhat less mods (mainly those that cannot function without SKSE and have therefore not been ported) though there is still a significant number of mods to be ported that do not rely on SKSE. LE = less stability, but more mods (because of SKSE being available for it) though the difference in number of mods between the two editions is dwindling as more mods that do not absolutely require SKSE are getting ported. I am personally switching back-and-forth between versions at the moment because great mods (e.g. Beyond Skyrim - Bruma) keep popping up and I'm simply too impatient to wait for them to get ported. But I do prefer SE for the stability. 32bit cant run 64bit programs due too the diffrences in scripts and how the operative runs things @lailaamell95: Okay, I was afraid of that. I really should have known that. Win 10 is my first 64bit OS. My Win 7 was 32bit and it died on me just a few months before SE became available. Also, I hadn't tried any other 64bit/DX11 games, so I am (was) quite ignorant on that matter. I was guessing (apparently, wrongly) that SE would run on Win 7 32bit, but with some reduced functionality. Thanks for pointing out my error. @Yetimusics: So, with that mistake on my part revealed; -If your Win 7 is 64bit, then no problem. You can run both Oldrim and SE and will not have your GPU's VRAM capped at 4GB. If your Win 7 is 32bit, you cannot run SE. But at least you still won't have the VRAM cap in Oldrim.
-
Yeah, I'm reloading my Oldrim and building up a new mod order to try out Bruma myself. I'll still go back to SE when Bruma gets ported, whether SKSE is available for it or not at that time.

Thank you for pointing this out to us. Kudo given.

I think she's referring to the fact that animals / predators will still go after your companions even if you use Skyrtest to reduce your change of being attacked on the road.
-
As long as that mod does not affect the immediate area around Whiterun's external walls, then probably. Be sure to place Holds at the very end of your load order (no matter what LOOT or MO says) to minimize possible conflict.

To the OP: Another factor to take into account is your OS. LE is a 32bit game, Win 8 (both versions) and Win 10 cap the VRAM available for 32bit games to 4GB. This can become an issue if you have lots of texture heavy mods (especially 2k.) Win 7 is exempt from this, so you can use a lot more VRAM from your GPU with Oldrim. SE is a 64bit game, so your OS does not matter for VRAM usage. Now there's been some noise (on Reddit) that Microsoft is considering patching Win 8 and Win 10 to remove the 4GB limit for 32bit / DX9 games. However, afaik that's not confirmed yet.
-
Sorry about posting this a bit late. Bruma just got released a few days ago to the general public. The team says there will be an SE port, but that has to wait until they've finished all the patching on the Oldrim version. So if you wanna play it now (and the videos being posted about it look terrific) then you're gonna have to fire up LE again.
-
Well, ETaC hasn't been ported yet (afaik), but I'm partial to Holds anyway.

I thought ANY download (whether "with manager" or "manual") counted. If I'm wrong, someone please explain the difference. I'm kinda curious now. On a related topic, if you know of an awesome mod that isn't getting the attention you think it deserves, talk about it here on the forums! Think it's worthy of review on youtube? Email some of the prominent reviewers out there with a link. They might agree and put it in one of their videos. By way of example, I've talked up Warzones numerous times (including Oldrim's edition.) See? I just did it again. (Disclosure: I beta-tested Warzones, so I do have a bias towards it for that reason as well.)

Behtesda jsut announced locking mods behind a pay wall

SidAlpha has put up a pretty good video covering a lot of the possible pros and cons. -
They (regrettably) have said that they cannot accept any sort of financial support (at least where SKSE is concerned.) One of the popular theories is that they are actually under an NDA with Bethesda in regards to their work.
-
Ah, thank you for the clarification. I guess that means they might port Burma over to SE. Would make sense.
