  1. I'm at the start of the Thief Guild quest line and got caught taking the journal, and my bounty was only 50 at the start, but I can't go to any part of the city without being stopped on sight. I have no clue what could be causing it, so here's all the mods that affect stealth, crime, and the guards. So, I have TIE, a overhaul for stealth. I have Ranokoas Undercover Overhaul, the one compatible with TRN One of the Gang. One of the Gang. Stolen Item Ownership. SM Combat Hide Crime Has Witnesses Hear No Evil Bounty Reduction over time I have Sneak Tools. Hear-Me-Not I have Better Cities, which...it changes AI of city NPCs? So could affect guards, right? Could ANY of these have something to do with it? I just don't know what the issue is, and I have a lot of stolen items with no container to temporarily store them where I'm stuck at the moment...plus, there's the journal, which seems like an important thing to not lose.
  2. I just got a wireless gaming receiver, and followed what I saw on the nexus on how to download JoyToStick, and to change Oblivions int file. I'm very confused. Before I changed the settings I could move with one joystick, but it was EXTREMELY jerky. Kinda wondering why that is since I didn't set it up in JoyToKey yet. I watched a tutorial, double checked everything, and some things still seem to be messed up. Like exiting out of a dialogue menus. I can't find the key for that. I would think he would have set that to one of the four main buttons on the controller, possibly B, but that didn't work. In fact, two different buttons seemed to be doing the same thing. I need major assistance. (Also, how do I select the F1, and so on, keys to put them there when they control settings on my computer and pop up as such?) If this is in the wrong place, please move me. I'm not sure where it would go. It's not a mod, but it's not strictly about Oblivion itself. So. Yeah.
  3. Holy....how did I not see this? I've searched for hours! Does it conflict with leveling mods? Also, it doesn't seem to have been updated since 2013. Do you think there'll be any incompatibilities with Better Cities now? Because it said 5.4 and up, but BC is at version 6.0.7. And I don't see any comment about it.
  4. Okay, so, I got it and have been checking everything inside and around the error symbol. Nothing is showing as missing. I did notice there's black parts on some of the carpets threads. You know, the ones at the edge that are tied in knots, for decoration? But when I click on them, same thing. And it's not over those areas anyway...and the alternative symbols from the mods won't show up. I'm still just as confused as before.
  5. So once I do figure out what's missing, if it is something missing and not a mod, how do I get it back?
  6. I know there's containers around, I was talking about having them inside a small safe catch, in places that would be where a thief would place them. I saw one mod that added a small space behind a loose brick in the imperial city. But it was only one spot. It's more about immersion for me.
  7. Hm. I haven't seen anything for those meshes, and I also am playing on a laptop, and not a gaming one. Good so far but trying to avoid big graphics and instead am just running it on high settings.
  8. I haven't used any mod that would edit textures of inns, or tables, or anything on the tables this thing is floating over. I've only just started the game. This is the first place I've been in after escaping the sewers, but it's not just this one item. Every item of this type in the inn has the same thing. I have no idea what's going on. I've found no conflicts or errors in my mod list. I'm at a loss here, and would welcome suggestions. It's REALLY BIG. And transparent. Nothing, like, solid. It's really weird.
  9. The only homes for thieves I've been able to find just don't suit me. Either they're way too extravagant, or they're not hidden well enough for, well, a hidden hideout to hide in. I have better cities installed, so maybe it's not possible to do it inside cities, I don't know. But even if there's just little places scattered about the wilderness, that'd be cool. Especially for roleplaying, and if you have a needs mod installed for a place to hunker down and sleep safely. Speaking of Better Cities, if someone is able to work with Better Cities to make some exits to get away from those pesky guards, that'd be absolutly amazing, and I'll be praising your name for all eternity. Because all the mods I've found are incompatible with it... What I'm really looking for is for them to be discrete. Located in places you wouldn't notice unless you know where to look. Maybe they're not "owned" and are Thief Guild safe houses for all the members who may have gotten in a sticky situation, and once you're in the thief guild there's notes laying about with vague hints on where to find them. It always bugs me to have hidden hideouts immediately accessible. It'd be a lot more fun to puzzle out the locations. With some well placed clues or riddles. Obviously if they're just little hideouts they're probably made to be temporary, without safe storage and sparsely furnished. Probably just a bedroll, and some containers with useful things such as lockpicks(respawnable, since fellow thieves leave some stuff occasionally for brethren in need), and maybe a few other little features that would fit in. Like, outside the cities you'd find a large hollow tree, or a small hidden cave behind a waterfall or some rocks. That kinda stuff. Inside cities, if possible to do with Better Cities, maybe a hidden door leading to a small area under some bushes or something. For stashes it's not a must, but would be a much cherished extra. Good place to hide items in a pinch without running all the way to a player home. Especially if you never use a player home. There's just not enough thief centered mods out there. I wish the game had implemented more stuff originally, but alas. So now I ask for your help. I really need my thieving fix.
  10. How would that be done? I've never modded anything, and I'm not sure if I'd be able to since I don't have Skyrim on PC. Does Skytweak have the ability to come onto xbox one remastered version? Because otherwise that wouldn't be useful to me, because, like I mentioned...I sadly don't have it on PC. Not a good enough laptop. :( But I'd be more than willing to do it one at a time if I could combine it with perk tree overhauls.
  11. Yep, though I think some people have put them in other mods as well. I know they have with fire arrows.
  12. For readers of the Forgotten Realms books, we should all know the names of these two. The human assassin Artemis Entreri and the opportunist Dark Elf mercenary by the name of Jarlaxle. Like their activities or not, they're awesome and always fun to read about. I will not hear any arguments. They also have a lot of nice goodies...one's I'm sure plenty of people would love to have fun with. Possible items: -Artemis' jeweled dagger. Sure, you could just get any old dagger and put a drain life spell on it, but that wouldn't be near as impressive looking, would it? It's his signature weapon, and that's enough to want to have. -Charon's Claw. A shade weapon that ended up in the hands of the master assassin. It's handle is the head of a skeleton, and it's blade is blood red. Not sure if this can be done, but it also leaves a trail of ash on command when swung. It doesn't have to be on command (would that even be possible to do in game) but it would be a wicked aesthetic addition. -Bat Wing Cape. Artemis once had a cape that could give you batwings. Enough said. -Jarlaxle's throwing daggers. He had a arm brace containing daggers. One out of every three are an illusion (again, probably may not be able to make that work. The illusions could kill just as well as the real ones if the opponent believed they could, so that could cover that.) They'd disappear and come back after a set amount of time. (This could be fixed by just making the daggers unlimited) -Jarlaxle's rainbow cape. It would increase invasiveness. -Jarlaxle's bag of holding. Just a bag of holding. -Jarlaxle's portable hole. It was a black piece of fabric that could be thrown on a surface. It could either lead to an interdimensional room, or give you a hole from one side of a solid surface to another. -Jarlaxle's hat. I kinda just want it because, well, it looks awesome. He could pull out the feather and summon a giant underdark bird to fight, or possibly make him invisible if I remember correctly. Dude had everything. I swear. -Jarlaxle's eyepatch. Can't really use it in game for any purpose, so I suppose any old eyepatch would work. I'm not sure if anything else is duable. Even if you could just make his outfit, without any effects...yes. If anyone can think of other fun toys these two have...please add on.
  13. I see a lot of perk cheats that max out vanilla trees, which of course wouldn't work with modded trees. Can you just get a bunch of perks at the start instead, that way you could just apply them to any perks you might have, modded or otherwise?
  14. I know there are rope arrows. If needed, you could use those. :)
