  1. I remember seeing a mod where someone had made the repair tool available as a fifth weapon, permanent I think in the holster, and I've searched but couldn't find it. Does anyone know where this can be found or possibly how to do it? Is it possible to make the base hold breath underwater time longer and if so how is this done? Thanks

  4. I am trying to locate a mod that I used and had a lot of fun with, may have lost it in a crash because I can't seem to find it in my archive data storage. I haven't been able to locate it in the nexus fo3 files either. I cannot remember the name of the file, but it was an A.) added location, just behind the broken bridge where the 4 raiders are just north of the Citadel ; B.) I believe the mod starts with you meeting up with a character and/or his pack brahmin in or near the scrapyard and you help him get to the downtown location in a.). C.) There is a small base for a group of npcs with a number of small quests once inside the location proper, the first of which I believe is helping to repel an attack by a couple of waves of supermutants including overlords. So if anyone can remember this mod it would be a real help if you'd relay the info. Thanks
  5. go to Tom's Hardware.com , register, go to the graphics hardware forum and ask your question, just by browsing through the already asked inquiries you'll get a good idea of what to expect etc. Personally, I recently upgraded to a EVGA 460 GTX 768 from a Ge 8500 500mb and the hardest thing was fitting the new card into my mid sized Digital Storm case, its huge compared to what you're used to. But the card runs great, but be aware these cards tend to run on the warm side so power and cooling could be an issue. One other note you should give some thought to is that the new tech with the "sandy bridge " chips is just over the horizon, it might be better to hold off a bit if you can because these chips are a quantum leap over the current stuff and stuff like the 460's will still be there only a little cheaper probably. My rig is 3yrs. old and I was thinking about upgrades too cause I'm using an older board with dual 3Ghz. chips . So i'm going to wait cause if the Sandy Bridge tech is developed anywhere near half the possiblities its going to outdate just about anything but the new chinese super computer. Anyway good luck with your choices!
  6. Playing the game forever, stuck in fo3. Last night after a reset of quests due to some crashes and stuff I was going by the train tunnel on the way to Camp David (The Project mod) and I freed the slaves in the pen again, buffed them out with some modded gear and set em loose! It was a wild ride following these dudes across the wastes, a lot of fun and funny incidents on the trip. Problem is I don't know how to break them out of their vanilla menus so they'd be a little easier to manage. When I try to talk to "Prosper" now the only response I get is " Thanks Again", the other two are mute. So I was digging through the console commands trying to find a solution and I did find a "addscriptpackage" command. So has anyone ever used this and could you shed some light on how to use it. I'm using Scc Companions with speak to anyone, the Trasch mod, Better companions no checks, etc. which have probably been merged to some extent by FO3Edit. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated,thanks. :wallbash:

I guess I'll have to pass on FO Vegas, sad but I really don't think its fair after you buy a game to be forced to subscribe to something else you're not interested in in order to activate and play. 1. Never been interested in online or multiplayer online gaming. 2. After reading the Steam or Valve subscription agreement seems like they want your information and don't want to accept any responsiblity for security for your account or information. I've been a fan of Bethesda games since Morrowind but this draws a line I will not cross. So unless another option becomes available Vegas ain't happening for me. And I just upgraded my graphics card to a Geforce GTX 460, so no happy camper here dudes. Sending my unopened box back to Walmart!
  8. I couldn't find any specific information on this in any of the tutorials , but the question is simple and quite possibly the answer, can additional "fast travel" map markers be added to exterior maps?
  9. ummm ok, but I need to know where and how to apply these changes mostly where, if someone could tell me where to get access to the file to make the changes. on the second part perhaps you should have prompted the dwarf for a little more "de tail". hit the console key, click your mouse on the NPC, so that you see what looks like their ref id at the top mid of the screen. Then type: SetAV confidence 4 The FF in the ref id means that the NPC is not a persistent ref placed in the editor - you won't find it in the Geck. The NPC is spawned from another object that would be common to all the captives, so you could find that and change the confidence to 4 (foolhardy). I'm not too familiar with all the mechanics of it but there will be a template somewhere that these NPCs draw their stats from. Ok, Thanks very much, I'll give this a shot.

It would seem that this would be an opportunity to have added a mini quest to aid the slave getting to and a game connection with the main "Temple of the Union" quest instead of just leaving it as is, here we are with nowhere to go. I guess a modder with the know how could fix the loose end ......, still there is probably a little "bandaid fix" via the console or Geck.....anyone?

Ok, so I'm crossing through the wastelands near jury street station and run into crazy wolfgang and crew, interact with them, continue into station area and there is an ongoing "cluster thing battle" going on between a big army bot, raiders, three albino rad scorpions, a slaver and a group of slaves. After the smoke clears there are two slaves still standing, one runs off, I interact with the other and she requests help getting off the collar, I take off the collar and she talks about going to that safe house for slaves in the wastes, "Union of the Temple" ,so I give her lots of gear to help her get there, but then the dialog ends and she justs wanders around a little and stays in the jury st metro area. Then a small rad scorpion appears and she starts screaming and running around with her hands over her head, scorpion phobia maybe, i dunno. She could however waste the thing with the combat shotgun I gave her,Duh! So I would like to know how to at least change that element of her behavior, is there a console command to do this say per character in game. I tried looking for the ID # in the geck ( ff001276 ) but can't find a number even close to that. So is there any way to change a slave's or freed slave's behavior through a template modification or something?
