  1. By "right click to get the motion back" you mean right clicking and dragging to move the vertices? Don't do that, after you select the vertices you want to move, make sure your mouse pointer is inside the 3D window, press "G" and move them, when you get them where they need to be you can then left click to confirm placement or right click to cancel. Im somebody who easly overlooks small hotkeys and such, yea you pretty much hit it on the head. The whole time I was just trying to move using the RMB, even though it should have it, never dawned on me to go thru the keyboard and try em all lol. Blender is pretty confusing at first, but kudos to you friend much appreciated. Now on with the blending.
  2. I am currently trying to learn blender on my own, and i found a pretty good albiet old tutorial that covers most of the basics of what I am currently workin on. All went well until about 6:00 min into the video when he started messing with a setting(button) described as limit selection to visible. I have to pic centered as he does pushing 3 (side view), but when I box select the corner vertices of the cube to start modeling it I have to right click to get the motion back then it will defer and only select one vertice at a time. I can still model and such, just one vertice at a time. I have the patience to do it like this but I can't match them at every point, and I'm afraid of the model coming out uneven. I'm very new to blender so any snags like this would be disastrous for me later in the process. Just checking to see if this is something in the system, or if it is actually me causing this. TLDR- 6:00 min into video he chooses limit selection as visible-can box select 2 vertices to manipulate. When I do this I must right click to cancel the box select and am only able to manipulate 1 at a time causing uneveness throughout the model. Thx nexus
  3. I recently dl'd blender 2.65 to start a few models, but cant and idk if its me or blender . Once it loaded it had no background I could see all of the cubes vertices thru it. I randomly loaded it later and it had a grid in every view and I could only see the 4 sides of the cube and the pic stayed rotated so that it was flush with thw axis. From watching alot of tuts I know this is the correct way for blender to load the background and pic but I camt seem to get it to do this anymore. Maybe ots a setting I camt seem to find again, srry for the wall here on a smartphone with a bum camera or id just post a pic. Thx for any help
  4. Yeah, I went in and switched the aggression to a lower setting but it doesn't seem to help any. My older followers who I just created a week or so ago have a higher aggression setting than what I have the newer ones set to now. Wondering if it's maybe a bug, or if it's possible to remedy by manually switching their aggression in the console?
  5. Ive recently discovered the spf console command and have been making a few followers for fun. The problem is, everytime I have made a follower they instantly become hostile upon zoning in. Not to me but every other npc is hostile towards them also, ive checked my past followers and they still function with identical specs. Any ideas or solutions?
  6. I have managed to create and place a falmer follower into skyrim, but there is no initial dialogue for me to recruit him. I've read around and I think there is a special script or workings in the ck that must be applied, but I have a limited knowledge on this part of followers. Any help is appreciated. Thx nexus!

  8. I am currently trying to d/l Tales of Lycanthropy, the new modular non-skse version. However every time attempt to d/l it through the NMM it says unable to d/l files. Anyone else having any trouble with this file? -edit- The skse version seems to d/l fine, anyone care to show me how to install the newest version of skse? I already have the link to silverlock. Thx in advance!
  9. Just a quick question on builds, I was gonna try a melee/unarmed/survival strat. Basically the backstory is my char is a mutant who lives off the radiation and radiant food and water throughout the Mojave. Now I haven't been very far into the game at all, but I noticed there are perks that kinda lean towards a strong,fast,mutant cannibal but idk if this is a viable way of playing the game. If anyone could just give me a heads up that this is possible w/o too much frustration thats about all id need to make it happen. Thanks in advance nexus!

  11. Hello nexus, I just purchased FONV and started collecting my mods. I have ran into a problem though, a few require NVSE and I dont have a clue on how to install this and launch the game from it. Just need some quick instructions on how to install and operate, I have the d/l link also.
  12. I've been very into modding and messing around with blender 2.49b here lately and want to begin modeling, animating, and putting those models in game (skyrim). Aside from blender the only d/l links I have are from the wiki and sticky on these forums, and I may have missed something but those are from sourceforge and only work with newer versions of blender. If I'm in the wrong here I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction to all the tools needed to successfully model something in game.   13. I've worn myself out with the ck and was going to get into the modeling end of modding, so I dl'd blender 2.49b and following the guide from LHammonds I attempted to dl python 2.6.5.msi. When I started reading it said that it was replaced by 2.6.6, just wondering if this newer version is compatible with blender 2.49b. Thanks in advance!
  14. I've been playing around with blender (2.49) and started noticing a lag in my comp. system due to the program. It's just the same basic lag from creating and editing the objects, so it got me thinking. My comp is aged somewhat, and the only stats I could retrieve are from the newegg website so here goes: What are my blender limits so to speak judging from the specs below. Thanks in advance nexus!   15. Hey nexus, I finally unglued my eyes from the CK after running into a problem. I added 3 followers with different abilities, but when I recruit them as soon as the **** hits the fan and one aoe is used the other followers are hit and start attacking the aoe caster. I'm fairly sure it has to do with the relationship status but I can't figure out what it needs to be set to. Also each follower is created and saved under different mod files. Any tips?
  16. When the NPC is set to setplayerteammate then he will equip the most desirable equipment. When that is false then he will go back to his default outfit. The outfits they wear can be chosen in the inventory screen of the NPC page when you are in the CK, but the items contained in the outfit cannot be accessed in the NPCs inventory during gameplay. I'm having the same issue and let me clear this up a little bit. For example: His follower has "ArmorForswornNoHelm" set as his Default. He does not have ANY armor set in the actual inventory, hoping that his follower will just keep the Forsworn armor. He opens the game and finds his follower - who is wearing the Forsworn armor. When he recruits the follower - out of nowhere - he equips Steel Armor which was not set, and is nowhere to be found in his follower's inventory. I get that too. I tried changing Eola's default outfit because I hated the Hide, but as soon as recruited, BAM, Hide armor. Housecarls are the same. Always revert to Steel, even if was never placed in there inventory and they are set for something completely different. It literally comes out of nowhere. Yea, this is exactly how it happens for me. Glad someone has come across this situation before, but yes I do use a follower mod. I don't have the link here but I can post it as soon as I'm home, I believe my tweaking with the mod halfway through the savegame may have had an impact on it so I'll toss it up to that. The resurrection command was a nice tip, appreciate all the info. I made 10 saved games from a lvl 6 char just to play around with the mods and load them to fresh games everytime I make an adjustment. If I run into anymore snags on the CK I hope the nexus is as helpful later on. Thanks all!

Not sure about the bow other than what I said already, but if he has steel armor in his inventory, then when he is an active follower he will equip it if it has a better armor rating than his default outfit (kind of the reverse of what I said about my dual wielding khajiit). Only when he is a follower though, he should revert to his default when you dismiss him. (I assume the game only bothers calculating whether inventory items are better than default items when the NPC is a follower). It isn't generally a good idea to tweak mods part way through a save game, it can cause problems like the one you have encountered (or it can also generate multiple copies of things). Yea I noticed the strongest armor is equipped regardless of how he is set to fight or his talents/perks. I done a simple fix in game by killing a forsworn and setting his armor with a custom follower mod, but the outfit I set for him and is showing equipped in the CK is just the basic forsworn set, no other armors or aything in his inventory either, this is why I am so puzzled about the switch to steel in game when I talk to him and get him to follow. Sorry if these questions are redundant and noobish, just really interested in learning this great thing called modding lol.

You can make your own preset outfit with existing armor/clothes parts... - In the Object window, find Items, then Outfit - Right-click, and 'New' - Add the name for your outfit - DRAG clothing/armor items from the Object Window into the blank list area and save When you reopen your NPC your new outfit should be selectable on the drop down. Thanks for the tip, I created a custom outfit but as soon as I give him the option to follow he reverts over to the steel and bow. Also, I'm having trouble after resaving over an older file for this. I was trying to keep it simple and only maintain one save for all my editd and just build on it, but when I tweak his stats and I resave it removes him as my follower and he's not in the spawn spot inside the drunken huntsman.
  19. Wow a lot of info, appreciate all that. I never really thought of the spell order but it makes sense, and I had no idea there were preferred spells with the A.I. Whats a good combat model for des, conj, and resto? I don't know if there is a specific way of casting and attacking for each individual setting, but if there is a list available for them(unlikely) I would be leaps and bounds ahead with that. Since this was bumped I'm just going to edit and use it as a base post to help me with the creation kit, great info. and helpful replies, thanks again! -In the inventory tab I have been sifting through the preset outfits and noticed you cant add/subtract the equipment it adds for you. Is there an option to choose the starting equipment, or can I just add it to his inventory and use the amazingfollowertweaks mod to make them equip it? -Also about the clothing issue, I have it set to forswornarmormelee. When I approach and talk to him he is still in this armor, but as soon as I recruit him he switches to full steel armor and a bow. Any thoughts?
  20. I have managed to create a custom follower,he is an orc and ended up with 6 spells, con. frost,fire,storm and the starting destruction spells. Problem is he will only use 1 type of destruction spell. I understand only casting flame atronach because of mana issues at his current lvl, but he is using sparks, the spell that uses the most magicka. However he will use the staff I placed in his inventory so I know he isn't bugging on the swapping. Any thoughts/ideas to why he wouldn't at least cast another spell? I set him to forsworn briarheart armor and no weapons in his inventory, but when I found him in game he was wearing iron armor and had a bow equipped. Anything I need to check or change for him to wear he armor selected for him?

  22. Sorry gotta look over the newness, not familiar with AA. Is it in the graphic settings from the launch menu? I found an FXAA and it was already disabled though.
  23. Hey Nexus, just as the topic says I updated my video drivers and now there is particle tearing. Small squares that are either missing, discolored, flashing, and or distorted. I have tried switching to different graphic settings, with no luck. I also wondered if this was caused by a recent mod d/l but I remember playing the game with the current mod setup with this not happening. So I'm lost Nexus, maybe you can point me in the right direction, all info is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  24. I once came across a base building mod on the nexus and can't seem to find it again. I believe you gathered parts from your surroundings and used them to construct and upgrade your facility. Anybody know of such a mod?
  25. I see, the idea kinda sparked when I witnessed trails of ants going back and forth across a road between trees in Skyrim so I was banking on a model already in use. GECK from Fo3? That would be a nice start, maybe down the line adding in concept stand-alone models and then a final model for each species/and class of ant within the nest. Very nice idea, you have no idea how much it helps a noob modder.
