  1. Yeah, I'm still having zero luck with this. It just flat out doesn't work for me with any of the methods posted so far.
  2. You mean something other than right-click the cell name in the Cell View --> Duplicate?
  3. I'm also experiencing the missing file paths thing. It doesn't disappear on "choose finale," but it always disappears on "choose file." I'm glad to hear this is being considered a bug, because even when I went to look at the default music, like Combat01, the finale was there but the file wasn't, and that was really confusing me. It sounds like we might save ourselves from pulling out our hair by waiting until there is a patch --- it definitely sounds like something is broken somewhere. I've done everything I can think of it and the game still crashes for me whenever it should begin my song. I even made an entirely new Music Type that contains my Music Track, then I went to my cell's info and selected it as that cell's Music Type. Then when I go to check the music type's "uses" (dependencies) info, it doesn't say that my cell is using it. But then when I go to my cell in-game, it insta-crashes. So at this point I've tried every load order possible, and within those possibilities I've tried every combination of putting my Music Track in an existing Music Type, a new Music Type, associating it with an existing cell, associating it with a new cell. I also tried the above combinations with varying options in the Music Type (like "cycle tracks." I don't think it's going to matter, but just in case, I'll throw down my general specs here: Core 2 Duo i7 GeForce 470 GTX Asus motherboard, using onboard sound, no separate sound card. 4 GB RAM I run the game at Ultra without a hitch. Maybe it has something to do with using onboard sound? Doesn't make sense, but after all the work I've put into testing this, I'm absolutely convinced that it's either a bug, OR something really bizarre and specific like using onboard sound versus a sound card.
  4. Damn, considering this is the only plugin I have started so far, there's no other place to put it in terms of priority, so my problem must be different. Although I just realized I'm not using update.esm at all, I haven't loaded that once yet. Will give that a shot in a bit.
  5. Glad to see someone is as enthusiastic about this as I am :D I probably wouldn't be interested in making custom content if I couldn't play it to custom music. Let us know how it goes. I'm gonna give it another shot when I get home tonight as well.
  6. Nope, I don't have the high-res texture pack yet. So if I understand correctly, we have confirmed that the problem ISN'T with our individual audio files --- it's not something like the file being too large/long or the file being broken from conversion to .wav. That at least narrows it down...but I'm still stumped. One thing I tried doing was, instead of making a NEW Music Track, I just edited one that already exists (in this case Combat01). That way literally the only thing changing is the music data file, and not like any references or dependencies. But then I encountered a problem I hadn't encountered yet: I can't save the .esp file! If I hit Save, it appears to be saving, but it never finishes. If I attempt to close, it asks me if I want to save, and if I hit yes, it then says like, "unable to save as the previous save hasn't finished yet." And it just sits in this never ending loop, and ultimately I just can't save. This was in a brand new .esp file, nothing else had been changed except the music file that Combat01 was pointing to. Another thing I just want to make sure is, in our "music" folder, does it matter if "music" is capitalized or not? I tried both "Music" and "music", and it didn't seem to make a difference, but it would be nice to know for future reference whether or not both are okay.
  7. Please tell me someone has had some luck with this --- I'm having the exact same problem. Game just insta-crashes when it should play my song. I followed the original post and cleared all the items in the TownTest type and added my song. Every time I go to a town, it immediately crashes. My .wav was converted from .wma and is approximately 30 MB, placed it directly into data/Music, no sub-folder.
