  1. I tend to click through conversations a lot. I usually start holstered, but when someone is boring me or I've heard a long-winded speech before I end up a bullet poorer. Multiple playthroughs and all. I had a twitchy finger in Sleeping Dogs too, where I'd constantly right click and fly out of my car. And you're attitude is entirely uncalled for.
  2. Something like press Q to toggle safety and make the gun think it's empty. Because I can't stop shooting people when I click in dialogue in dialogue.
  3. The idea: Have the buildable area and the area with Isabel's room in the Mechanist's lair as it's own cell. Possibly then enable it as a full settlement. You could have the doors to the rest of the lair sealed off (who leaves their door opened in the Commonwealth anyways?). If need be maybe set it up so after the quest is completed you and your new friends (if you didn't kill them) get teleported to the appropriate cell (have the blueprints and everything in the "home" cell). EDIT: The reason: It's a massive cell. Cutting it down to size would be nice; having the doors closed; giving people the freedom to do whatever they want to the cell without fear of truly breaking anything (mods could be build off of it, debris could be disabled, lighting could be changed, whatever). Virtually no conflicts with anything else that modifies the DLC because it's in its own cell.
  4. i've had a lot of mods recently that haven't had bash tags suggested for them, but i'm pretty sure they could really use them. one that comes to mind is TTWFixes.esp (the 'official' UOP for TTW), but even if i were to find that no tags were necessary, it's led me to want to learn how to think for myself here. so lacking automated suggestions, how should i go about deciding which bash tags to use, if any?
  5. I'm currently in the process of modifying the living daylights out of Severin Manor, but I can't delete any of the default stuff because they count as deleted references. I know TES5Edit sets them at Z -30000, but I still hate having them there. They crowd up my cell objects list and deleting them would bring approximately 180mb/157mb down to approximately 150mb/157mb, and I don't know what that means but I like the way it sounds. How can I definitely get rid of this garbage?
  6. For the 'Forbidden Legend' quest you have to find three pieces of an amulet, one of which is quest locked in Saarthal. Now personally I've been staying away from the College because I don't want my character to be considered a mage. He's not a mage. I'm deliberately avoiding investing anything into any of the mage trees. I was wondering if it would be possible to replace the target in Saarthal with a generic draugr of some description, whilst relocating the one that carries the piece of the amulet to a more generally accessible location (possibly an otherwise unremarkable location such as Skytemple Ruins just north of Winterhold. There's even a leveled draugr just waiting to be replaced).
  7. I've just finished the Thieves Guild quest line for the fourth time, and it has suddenly occurred to me that the Irkngthand (particularly the sanctuary), with a little sprucing up (draining the water, fixing the pipes, shoveling up the dirt, etc;) would make a fantastic home. It's roomy, and there's a quick exit via Bronze Water Cave just west of Windhelm. A great little hideout, and in my opinion the perfect real reward for completing the Thieves Guild quest line. It's also worth mentioning that the "Eyes of the Falmer" statue is arguably all that's left of what they once were. I don't know about you, but I haven't encountered any Falmer ruins, or any indications as to what they were actually like before the Dwemer enslaved them, save a couple of brief books. I think the statue is incredibly important, and it's easy to forget just how significant it must have been to them. It's all that's left of their identity. Plus, it amazing, and you don't see it anywhere else. If you wanted to fill it with more stuff you could either hollow out a tunnel or two, or use wooden ramps leading up to a suspended wooden cabin of some sort. Either way, it seems like a brilliant location to me.
  8. This is my mod list and load order, exported with FOMM. Prior to installing the official DLCs (which I purchased via Steam's holiday sale), and when I used Project Nevada in lieu of FOOK, I had no issues with telling companions where to go when I was done with them (the Luck 38). Now I don't get an option. I have full access to a fully upgraded Lucky 38 suite, but the only dialogue choice that shows up sends them to where I first found them. I tried installing Follower Home Marker to counteract this (plus I wanted to direct them to my Underground Hideout), but still no luck. Any tips?
  9. Too many emoticons. Go to a Mass Effect 2 forum to discuss ME2. Dragon Age isn't anything like Elder Scrolls, and it's significantly more involved (but neither superior or inferior) than Mass Effect as far as planning goes. To each their own. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. Character development and relative ingenuity compensated for a game type that normally doesn't interest me at all.
  10. I know you can be a dragon with some of the shapeshifting mods here.
  11. I don't know which Nexus you've been looking at, but I see tons of mods that are designed to improve upon Zevran and Alistair. They're almost as common as mods for Morrigan and Leliana. Most of the nude mods (Natural Bodies for instance) have male nudity included, with various ... erm, choices. Better Sex Scenes caters to both male and female wardens. Most hair mods cater to female PCs (and not just in Dragon Age). I haven't seen the added content mods as being geared towards males either. Lots of clothing and armor mods are also designed with female PCs in mind (though if it's skimpy wear for males you're looking for then you are indeed SOL) As for an additional NPC, I haven't seen many for us guys either. I've seen a couple of shoddy attempts that couldn't pass an alpha testing, but that's it. EDIT: I also don't particularly care for unprofessional voice acting. Microphone feedback and distortion, low recording quality, muffling, people who hold the mic too close or too far away ... and that's before we get to how much it hurts to hear someone with no experience attempting and failing miserably at it.
  12. Firstly, I'm running Vista, and it's the Steam version of the game. My directory is as follows: C:\\Users\\Public\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins When trying to install the aforementioned database included in the toolset file, I come up with this error: http://usera.imagecave.com/Archontic/mssqlse.png.jpg Now, I've attempted to verify my WMI thing (that's the technical term) by running "winmgmt /verifyrepository," and the command console briefly appears and then disappears which, as I've been told, is a good thing. That's all the advice I could find on the matter. I've tried running the toolset without Microsoft SQL Server, and I come up with the "Unable to Connect to Database" error. I am completely clueless. Any help short to telling me to find a better OS would be greatly appreciated.
