  1. Just wondering but is it possible to remove the two starter spells? The ones known as Flare and Heal Minor Wounds? Then maybe put them in a magic shop instead? Just curious if its possible.

Well I already did my reinstall, I let it reinstall last night while I slept, I put my oblivion folder with all my mods in a seperate area, I will see if I copy them back in if it may work or not. Nope, didnt work. *sigh* Okay so I deactivated all of my mods except dlcs(Not removed) and oblivion runs completely fine. I will try re-enabling mods one by one and see what mod is causing the issue. Okay I cant re-enable the bash patch, it crashes the launcher, I think it may be the reason why it was crashing before, before I hit the reset to default button, it was enabled before, but I wont take any chances, Ill continue enabling them one by one. Okay it was indeed the bash patch, I managed to re-enable all of the mods I use with no issues. Alls good now, if a mod wishes to they can lock this.
  3. Well I am in one hell of a fix im in. Yesterday I decided to disable a few mods I was no longer interested in (Started disliking them greatly) These mods were the following. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/5579 http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42643 http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/39373 I disabled them yesterday, and oblivion loaded up fine and dandy with no issues. Then today rolls on by, Today I decided since these 3 mods were disabled anyway that I didnt need them sitting around in my modlist, so I opened up OBMM and deleted them. I also decided to install AULIAS. The moment I removed those 3 mods and added AULIAS, thats when this problem happened. Oblivion no longer works. Even after getting rid of AULIAS the problem persists. I looked at my master files and they are all still there. I ran it through wrye bash multiple times, I highly doubt it has anything to do with my load order, due to how smoothly it has ran in the past. I'm going to try to reinstall oblivion then re-add in the mods, and see if that fixes the issue. If not I will be extremely annoyed.
  4. I've been wanting to make a Sunlight Smite spell that when casted deals about 5 fire damage to a target aswell as sun damage 5 points for 10 seconds on target. But all I have seen in the TES construction set when making a sun damage spell is sun damage on self. Is there any way to make a targeted sun damage spell?
  5. So I looked all over the oblivion nexus and could not find a simple wooden hunting bow for the life of me. I plan on making a hunter character and would love for them to have a simple wooden hunting bow to start with, the problem is that im no good at texturing or making meshes, so even if someone could make a wooden bow resource, I would be happy.
  6. I'm not asking for a completely different alternate start, im asking for a possible addon for the one I use. The start by ship one. Defalutly with the Alternate Start, Start by ship mod, you start at IC or Anvil. With Better Cities, you can also start at Leyawiin since Better Cities adds a dock to Leyawiin. But Better Cities also adds a Dock to Bravil aswell, but I found it weird that you cant start at Bravil too with the Alternate Start, Start by Ship mod. So hence why I made this request.
  7. I prefer the start by ship alternate start, but the only places I can go with that mod is IC, Anvil or Leyawiin(With Better Cities). I was just thinking since Bravil has a dock when using the Better Cities mod, why not have an alternate start by ship there too. Its not absolutely needed, but would be a cool addition.

I like how with better cities and with the alternate start, start by ship mod, the player can start at the Leyawiin(and Anvil or IC without Better Cities), But what I didn't like is that I cant start at bravil! It has a dock in the better cities mod, so why not also be able to start there too? Could someone possibly make this? I could not find it anywhere on the nexus.
  9. Anyone know of any cool weapon or armor mods for an evil character? I started a new Evil Character yesterday after playing on my good character. I looked around on the oblivion nexus and couldnt find any cool evil armor mods and only found one cool weapon mod. Also if you decide to suggest one, heres a few things I don't want. -I don't want anything Skimpy or Revealing. -I don't want anything extremely easy to get. Make me actually work for it! -I don't want any lazy retextures of vanilla armors/weapons. -(For Armor)It has to be Light Armor, as this character does not use heavy armor.
  10. How about Good, Evil, Holy and Unholy Categories? For those who want to place their Dark Evil mods in a certain category. Or those who want another Category for a Holy Sword or somthing.
  11. Whats a good example of a use item to gain power script? Also I've already made the greater power. I just need to make the item that gives the power. Also whats a good dungeon to put it in? I want the player to have to do a bit of work to get it. Not just put it in the middle of the IC like 90% of mods I see do.

I think I found the issue, my old character has so much in their inventory, I remember this problem not happening during the "Through a nightmare darkly" quest, the one where you dont have any items during the dream sequence. I had no lag when putting on the armor for the arena. I think if I did a bit of inventory cleaning, The lag will stop. EDIT: I installed the HD textures for the HGEC body, and suddenly no more lag! EDIT2: I wound up getting C++ Runtime errors again, but It looks like I managed to fix it by updating my C++.
  13. is it possible to make a magic apple or somthing that the player can use to obtain this greater power? Because I can't add the doomstones apparently. :( The folder that the doomstones appear in does not appear on the mesh loading thing(Cant think of what its called) in TES Construction Set. Although I look in the same spot and find it easilly.
  14. Then tell me why my load order became that when I used BOSS. My load order was different before using BOSS.
  15. Well, I decided to give up(For now) on making a full quest mod. Too complex for a beginner like me. So I decided that I should attempt somthing more simple. Like a custom greater power. I think I can manage creating the Greater Power, but any tips on how to make a birthsign stone that you obtain the greater power from? Any help would be nice. :)
  16. I tried using the mods and SI patches before, they cause a crash for me. Also I have used BOSS, BOSS made my load order like that, and before I made this post I used Wrye Bash to see if it was a bloat, it said no bloat was found. I'll try removing the vampire aging thing. The next time I play oblivion.
  17. My Mod List. Active Mod Files: (I know, its rather big. :S) The problem I am having is with a single character. I tried this with a few "Fresher" characters, and they dont suffer this. Just my oldest character. The problem is that when I attempt to equip/unequip large pieces of armor. Such as Curiasses or Greaves. I get a large lagspike. It only happens whenever I dont equip somthing else for a while. Then try to equip it again. I had this problem during my C++ Runtime Issues too. But Even now I have yet to get another C++ error. So it may not be that.
  18. I suppose different alignments would make NPC disposition either higher or lower, depinding on the NPC and their alignment. Thats all really.
  19. I wouldnt mind an armor that looks like terra's clothing from Final Fantasy 6, but I dont think that will happen. :S
  20. I was thinking, could there perhaps be a mod that adds the 9 alignments from older RPGs to oblivion? I mean as in Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil? Was just a thought, if such a mod exists, I would love a link to it.
  21. Yeah my plan with these trials is to add leveled monsters, like leveled minotaurs and ogres and stuff. Ive started getting the first bits of a basic dungeon going, managed to add a container with leveled items. I'll continue and say when I've made a bit more progress.
  22. I guess I'll study that quest a bit, I know about that quest as I have done it before. It's kinda the reason why I want to make a mod like this. EDIT: Another thought was the items in the dungeons would be level dependant, higher level players would get stronger weapons like Ebony or Daedric, while lower level players would get Iron or Steel.
  23. I've had an idea for a new mod that I would like to make myself. It wouldnt be too complex I think. It would be a mod that adds a quest where the player must go through a few special dungeons, the thing about these dungeons is that the player will have their items taken away before attempting these as I like to call them, "Trial Dungeons" If the player were to give up or finish the dungeon, they would exit the dungeon and get their items back. The idea in these trial dungeons is to loot various chests, barrels, crates and enemies to find equipment. These dungeons would be quite long and full of traps and enemies. The goal of the quest would be to finish all of the trial dungeons then talk to the person who made them. He would Then give either a special sword or axe depending on the player's choice. I have never made a mod before, so I really dont know where to begin, also leave replies on what you think of this idea. Would be nice.
  24. Its nothing big, but my problem is that after I installed Better cities, all it changed was the Imperial city, all the other cities are still the same as in the vanilla game. I installed it manually, since Trying to install it with oblivion mod manager didnt work so well with me(Missing Meshes). So I Manually installed it. Ever since then, the only changed city I've had is the Imperial City. Any advice on how to make it change the other cities would be nice.
