  1. We are looking for new modders to join the Thompson Island team. The mod has 8 main quests and 14 sidequests planned so far of which 4 main quests are implemented so far. The team already has experienced voice-actors and writers on board, but we need more people on the technical side. We hope to welcome people that have knowledge of the Creation Kit that can help with implementing quests and dialogue. You can join our team at https://discord.gg/AwdHgch Story Synopsis Thompson’s Island is a large Fallout 4 DLC Sized Quest Mod that adds a custom world space known as Thompson’s Island. There are 8 main quests and 14 side quests (more will be added after release). In this mod, a city known as Clinton City is in great distress. The city is overrun by ghouls and even security is too scared to handle the matter. You hear their call for help and help them take back the city. When the mayor tells you that it's just the tip of the iceberg, you are asked to find out where the ghouls are coming from. During your search, you'll find out that two other factions are waiting to attack the city as well and that Thompson Island is on the brink of war. Which faction will restore peace in Clinton City? Do you follow your morales or your lust for power? Media Thompson Island Screenshots (Download) Thompson Island Act 1: First 4 Quests (YouTube) Thompson’s Island: All Locations Tour (YouTube)
  2. I tried it with a clean slate (no ReShade, Shadow Boost, mods etc. just vanilla) and I have indeed lost 6-10 FPS when the DLC is enabled... This is really bad! I read a post of a guy that dropped this DLC as his game became unplayable.
  3. The LOD problem is Shadow Boost related, but it's the shadow rendering that bothers me. A little search on Google showed that there are more people who suffer FPS drops after installing Wasteland Workshop.
  4. It's no secret that the shadow rendering in Fallout 4 is an absolute mess and hits on FPS like the bombs hit Boston. Hence we have mod to overcome this problem and play on a good FPS rate. Last night I downloaded Wasteland Workshop and once again all the fixes seemed for nothing and my steady 60 FPS hit rock bottom going down all the way to 30 FPS around Diamond City. Shadow Boost didn't seem to work anymore and even made some LOD glitch heavily (all railings suddenly became red). I can't understand why Bethesda doesn't fix this problem with the gaming being out there for over 6 months. Even the mods that help us overcome seem to break each time Bethesda puts an update or DLC. Before last night I ran everything on Ultra on 1080p @ 60FPS, now my game drops down to 30 FPS even if I lower down my settings to High and Godrays off. Does anyone else recognize this problem and how do you deal with this?
  5. For people that still have this problem, it might be a memory allocation issue. I had this problem with Fallout 3 on Windows 10 and used CFF Explorer to enable it to use more than 2GB Ram. This helped me to play Fallout3 with ENB where it first crashed when I tried to launch it.
  6. Hey! I'm making a quest where the player has to get a 10mm pistol and 20 rounds for the quest giver. I copied the conditions from a quest that does work (also made by me), but with this quest, the option to actually finish the quest does not appear in dialog. I have the following conditions GetId = (NPC) GetItemCount Weap10mmpistol > 0 GetItemCount Ammo10mm > 19 Any tips?
  7. I've created a new island in NV. So far, so good. But now I want them sandboxing around. I've placed idle markers all over the place and made linked xmarkers, with ID and patrol data on. I tried different settings and AI packages. When I placed an NPC on the island that uses the markers in it's default location, it's standing still on the island I made... I can't figure out what on earth I'm doing wrong. See the screenshot for the situation.
  8. I got it to work with clicking the "T" in the task bar and just placing a generic trigger (because DUH, it is the Generic Wild Wasteland trigger) ;). Then select "GenericWildWastelandTrigger" as ID, and the rest will happen automatically. I tried it in game and it worked. BUT, I have a new problem. The objects linked to the X marker do not appear in game. My first event worked, but the second (I did exactly the same) event is giving me headaches. Everything is set op the same as the first event, but the items are just not there in game. Maybe it's just the GECK having a seizure, but yeah... maybe I'm just missing something.
  9. Hey guys, I'm working on a huge mod with changes on main exteriors and adding new interiors. Until now everything worked out just fine, but I'm stuck with a problem. The door is linked properly to the interior and exterior cells, but in game I can only exit the interior as it should work. I have to COC myself inside, as the door from the outside does nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this? The cell is called "WEXTPrimmStore", so I guess that the name should't be the problem? It also shows the correct linked door if I click on "View linked door" and "View teleport door" Thanks in advance
  10. @chucksteel, thanks for your explanation man! I'm new to the GECK and I can't figure out how to actually place the trigger right. It counts triggers that I place, but I don't see them (!?) Do you have any tips how to corectly place the trigger?
