having the problem for almost a week now. downloading is pretty normal, if a bit slower than normal, however, it doesnt always post my comments, and i get 502 and 504 errors constantly. i also keep getting "this file is hidden" until i reload the page several times. i lost the oppertunity to get several mods because i gave up after recieving this without knowing the solution, and i dont remember the names. i havent been on the oblivion nexus in a week or so, because i just got skyrim and portal 2 running on my laptop, but it seems the problem started when i got on the skyrim nexus and it now persists even in the forums...

while skyrim throws in something oblivion has never had working well in the form of the dual wielding system (I LOVE IT!!!), i HAVE noticed, from what ive heard and seen online, as well as in game, that much of skyrims combat is VERY similar to Deadly Reflex, one of the most popular oblivion mods to date, even though it hasnt been active for least 3 years. the ability to punch with ones weapon, as well as shield bashing, originated in deadly reflex, and although skyrim has changed it up with the left and right mouse buttons being used to attack with your different hands in most cases, it has a very DR feel when i hit the right mouse button with only a dagger and see an exact replication of the DR bash animation when you have only a single hand weapon equipped. i rather enjoy the way bethesda has integrated the obviously very popular features into skyrim. it makes me feel like they are finally doing something to make us, the users happy. anyways, the point of posting this is that im rather interested in how the public feels about the matter. do you believe they stole it from skycaptain, or that they simply acted appropriately on the opportunity after seeing exactly what the people want in a combat system?

i want something like the races by BellaGail or the Xenia Race Compilation for oblivion. just SOMETHING that looks GOOD..... ive disliked the vanilla races since morrowind. in morrowind, i suck up and deal with it, because everythings pretty much the same. but in oblivion, it ALL changed. a custom race is the only way to easily get a beautiful character, and i want one like this pic:

finally got my mesh to show up, but when it comes into view, the framerate falls way down and the game gets laggy. i dont understand why because i used the EXACT same nif, i just went through the process of loading it and exporting it without actually changing the textures or anything.
-
thanks for the forward. i got everything for blender and nif scripts there. so i should be good on that. it works, at least. i actually have 2 versions of blender working completely seperately in fact. anyways, i got the skeleton and peeked at all of them with blender, and since they all look the same, im choosing the "for modders" one. ill check out the tutorial and post an update on whether or not i can finally get anything from blender to show up on my character (and/or vilja)

thats where i got my stuff for the nif scripts, as well as my copy of blender (i actually have 2 installations of blender, 2.49 force installed into ONLY the installation folder, and 2.63 installed to appdata). and which skeleton should i use? "controllable", "for modders", or "totally controllable"? i glanced at all three with blender and they all look the same. i`

im slowly getting the hang of using blender... but it still doesnt work. what im doing is staying in blender 2.49, opening the skeleton.nif file (had to go find one online bc its not in my installation. not sure why) and loading up a nif from a mod i like that is installed. i removed the armatures the mesh created and simply exported everything into a nif file and replaced the old one (keeping a copy). so the normal maps (i think i got that figured out now) should work. i exported them for the clothing and overwrote the older ones to be sure. still invisible. is there something im missing?

Forgive my nooby-ness, but ummmm... Texture paths? Normal map? Is there somewhere you can point me so I can find how to make a texture from scratch thats in semi-laymans terms and that doesnt skirt the subject of what a nif file really is? I havent been able to find anything to explain what I see in nifscope, and I know those "hand," "upper arm," and other references are important to a working animated file, such as armor and creature/npc models. If so, that would be EXTREMELY useful, especially since I shall be attempting to start creating and modifying meshes and textures. omg! i figured out out to get the stupid textures to load in blender! it was defaulting to "solid" setting til i accidently hit "texture"! *face palms self* so much work and thats all i had to do to get that problem over with. i still need to figure out the rest of the stuff, but as far as oblivion>blender, i think its working. i just need to do the reverse...

aside from color intensity, its almost the same as in blender. and i did dual install blender and set up the proper version with the nif scripts. even staying only in blender it did not work. i believe it is the fact that clothing needs references to the hands, shoulders, legs, head, and so on, and blender is removing them. i just noticed the references are not there in nifscope. so... that is the problem. i experimented with rocks and i CAN get almost anything into a nif that will show up in oblivion as a rock, but the colors are very weird and not accurate. i made a statue by combining clothing, hands, and a head nif, and the skin on the chest was pink. no clue why. the main problem im having is all materials are lost in transfer from oblivion nifs to blender, and the reference points

ok, i managed to make a nif file show up in blender, and i can edit it, change it around, and get it to open in nifscope to save it as a nif. however, oblivion opens it as a completely invisible (or, more than likely, nonexistant) object. i have already gotten a simple wineglass to open in oblivion and show up, so i am completely confused. all i wanted to do was test the function and use it to practice while also making personal changes to mods to make them "better" in my opinion. what i did was open a nif in nifscope and export as obj. when i imported that to blender, it opened, but the materials didnt work. that was no problem and i made some, giving the objects individual textures. i did nothing different from the wineglass i made. when i exported as 3ds and opened in nifscope it worked perfectly, but was nonexistant in oblivion upon loading. the item was there but the wold-object was not. wearing the nif file resulted in no torso. however, when i use obj instead of 3ds to move the objects back to nifscope, it gives material errors and only one part of it shows up, the rest are not there, and yet again, nothing shows up in oblivion. i looked at the nif exporting tool for blender but it only works on an outdated version and i would like to know how i can export an item from blender to open in oblivion in a more reliable way without spending any money on software. a screenshot of the wineglass i made (oblivion does not support the translucence from blender, however, i did get a blue cube to show up, so i know basic coloring will) UPDATE: ive even used the older version of blender, and i just cant seem to get the nif files to work, even if i open them directly with blender and export them directly into nif files. no clue why its not working but ill keep trying different stuff

finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE other than me who is NOT female who agrees that its possible for boobs to be too big!!!!! anyways, no, i dont. as for clothing and armor for my female character here is a short list of my favorites. im still expanding it tho. all are on tesnexus. if you have trouble with finding them in game i can give you a template mod that you can load into the CS along with your clothing/armor mods so you can put all of the stuff in it. i made one for myself that is respawning so i can leave for a day or two and come back and there are more :P good for getting rid of stupid armor/clothing you accidently grab. throw them in and boom, they disappear in a day or two. you CAN use it for infinite money but i dont cheat like that so.... if you wanna look at some of my character screenshots with these on go here: oblivion.nexusmods.com/modules/members/index.php?id=4022765. im just now adding them so its incomplete now but itll have 30+ in a few hours. LC lingerie - very nice. only one outfit tho R18PN 02 - Lingerie Set for HGEC - awesome compilation of lingeries. there are 3 items i dont know the purpose of tho. the rest is GREAT R18PN 04 - Amy AM Set S M L size for HGEC - another compilation although this doesnt have as much. more tasteful than the one above R18PN 10 - Heilige Mutter Armor for HGEC - just found this one while looking up the names of the above two. pics look great! Shwertliete armor - a set with a sword and shield that drop into your inventory upon starting up a game with it on, even if its a new game. its high quality and my armor of choice as for the hud and stuff, as of right now i am unable to mess with UVII in ANY way. it messes up DR6 and breaks my game so i cant throw things. i LOVE throwing daggers and torches at ppl so thats annoying. however, i can do the rest soon. btw, unless you have a small screen i recommend DarNified UI. install it first and then reinstall HSB after it. long as you do the omod version of the DarNified UI installation, you can get it all neatly installed. it allows for MUCH nicer inventori menus in the game, tho all in-game settings affecting the hud are overwritten by HSB the second you leave the menu. my character atm. i use"Oblivion Pose Pack and Erotic Oblivion Pose Pack" for poses, btw.

hey, im so sorry, but i ended up not having a computer available for quite a while. so umm.. yeah. i just got a new laptop so i finally have been able to get oblivion up and running. i was using someone elses laptop bc their hard drive died and i still had one from a computer whos motherboard fried, so when they wanted it back, i wasnt really able to do anything. took me forever to find this page again tho. i thought i had it bookmarked on google chrome... anyways, ill have to restart on it, so yeah... sorry

i LOVE this mod. when i get a new copy of the goty edition for my softmodded xbox im going to install it to that too! and yes, it DOES work. i know how to do it so dont bother telling me mods wont work with the xbox version. just takes some hex editing (easy with a guide) and a softmod that lets you rip the disc to the hard drive (completely legal long as you own the disc :P). without this mod morrowind is horrendous to play, graphically speaking... lol.

Ok, could you fix the nessesary bars for those two mods as well? That'd be awesome :) i'm using it as an individual mod, but it's a HUD element, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=26220 Oh please, take your time, i'm just glad you are willing to do this at all :D my teachers felt the need to give out last minute projects at the end of the year. yeah. i loaded with crap to do before graduation. lol. sorry bout the wait

werewolf: the awakening gives the game a functional werewolf system, complete with transformations and random encounters in places. just make sure you dont transform in the cities, or the gaurds and stuff will attack and then the werewolves will transform to defend you and it starts a mass battle. lol. fun sometimes, but not when you have a quest essential character killed. oh, and Blood is Everything is awesome too. but not the revamped version. it improves vampire system. and thanks for the info on map, is it part of HUD Status Bars? or diff mod? anyways, im really busy in school (i in class right now) recently and at home too, so it may be a lil before i get it completely done. k? :D
