Had to reload the game and start over.

During the Dawnguard quest, I was paid several visits by some master vampires. During one of those visits, Eorlund Gray-mane was killed without my knowledge. By the time I discovered him missing and declared dead it was beyond my save list. Is there any way to recreate him as I can not find his body to resurrect him? Why him and not most of those other NPC's I'm sick of listening to?

Can create the letter but does not create the quest.

Early in the game, I speak with Sven and Faendal about Camilla. Both are to give me a letter for Camilla but no letter appears and therefore no dialogue with Camilla. I remember playing this over a year ago without problems. NO MODS Vanilla Version Is there a quick fix or mod? Thank You.

Why is it, that the easiest solutions are the hardest to find? Since this is a spoiler forum I will answer my own question and save someone else an hour of time. Answer: Just fast travel out of there!

In Summerset Isle mod for Skyrim you need to recover a journal in a place called Roo's retreat. It's a room totally black with a few exceptions and no easy door out. I'm sure there is a hatch exit but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where it is?

I have one of those typical quests to kill a bandit at Nilheim. However my automatic map locator does not point toward the site or bandit. When I travel to the site there is no bandit leader to kill. I've done many of these quests before without problems. Any way I can dump this dud? I did not see a console control to do this.

No, not yet. But that does not explain why at level 25 I was getting almost 1000 for an item and now I come in short at less than 900 for the same item! And that's with the same enhancements. Just trying to figure out what I did to piss the merchants off?

OK, approaching level 45. Main income is by way of smithing, enchanting, and speech craft. Why is it that as I improve those skills the projected value of items keeps going down and the price offered by merchants get lower? Is there a Reputation factor similar to Oblivion and where do I find it? I know Gift of Charity helps a little. Does working for the dark brotherhood or thieves guild affect the pricing? How do I get the prices I had selling and buying 20 levels ago?

Having some problems with the Nexus Mod Manager and the mod "Knight's of the Nine-Revelation". I have downloaded this mod in the past without problems. It appears I can still download it but my unzip function appears not to work even with a manual download. The file will not open. In the Nexus listing of Mods, all of my mods have a "added on" date except Kotn-R. The file is there but I think unlocked. Any suggestions? I really enjoy this mod but can't find another download site.

Found out my solution, Return to the ship and examine the control panel.

I've installed both the crew and moon base mods along with FOSE. All seem to be installed properly yet I can't get the mission to start.. All other quests are completed and the description says, the mission will begin "elsewhere" What does THAT mean? I played this mod several years ago so I'm not sure why it's not activating.

Having played the game several times on two different computers and with XP and Win7 I keep running into a reoccurring problem. Whenever I'm in or near the Captain's quarters the visuals slow to a crawl. As I make return visits to the ship the problem is becoming worse. Nowhere else does this problem occur. Any quick fixes?

While I don't usually use cheat codes there are times it comes in helpful. I can get access to many of the "ITEMS" I want using the in game edit command "~". My question is, what do I type in place of the "xx" in the code xx006e3? xx doesn't work, nor does 00. I seem to recall there is a letter code prefix.

It is my understanding that if you are using the Nexus Mod Manager it supersedes the FOMM. Is this true? If true, do mods claiming to need FOMM do they really need to have it as they were written before the NMM came out? Thank you.

Well, as in 90% of my problems, I've figured it out myself! In the download of the Zip file I picked the wrong "KEY". I choose the first selection of 7Z920. What I really needed was 7Z920-64! Once downloaded I was able activate the Fallout script extender and then drop all those .dll and FOSE launcher into my Fallout 3 file. I then launched the program with a fose detection mod and all is alive and working in Fallout 3 land. Thanks for the help.

Thank you for trying to help me. I downloaded the file 7z920 and opened it to create a new file, 7-Zip. I then went into that file to find around 15 items there. I then went to the file 7z, an applications file and selected "Open". I then got a very short display of the Zip window, lasting maybe 0.3 seconds. I then tried several other options none of would work. As much as I would like to use the scrip editor and the many mods people have developed, it looks like I've hit brick wall. Yes, the "OBSE" I referred to WAS the Oblivion Script Editor. I didn't know it could mean anything else. As I said, it worked for me and I had no problems with the mods. You gave me the link to get the download and said, "which you need right now (http://www.7-zip.org/) to even open that archive to begin with" Think that could be interpreted as having the correct KEY? I will admit I'm only a 1 out of 10 in technical computer lingo and understanding. For you, and others a simple "go to" instruction may involve 4 or 5 clicks on the mouse, NONE of which I know off hand. I, along with many others need to be hand held doing even simple things. I'm thankful for people like you who give your advice so freely. That has helped me with many games over the years. Some 20 years ago+ I helped provide some answers to gamers when this industry was just starting out and the internet was new. I've been with Nexus since its start with only 3 or 4 games. Maybe someone will create a 20 hour+ video entitled " How to set up your computer for playing games" Maybe it would get some of us level 1 player to level 2 or 3. Thanks again. Sir Frank

Ok, now we are getting some where. #1 OBSE stands for a game here on the nexus , not a utility as it is being used in the sentence, there is winzip, winrar, 7z a s it is here which you need right now (http://www.7-zip.org/) to even open that archive to begin with. I am not even gonna try to tell you how to set up your rar program, please download the correct formatted utility I provided here. when you install that program ,hit start and then hit 7z, open that up, go to its' options window under it's drop-down menu at the top, and set it up to use every thing on that system. it will take over all zipping applications from that point on and it will extract and compress anything you have desire to do that too, It has the highest compression available to public and it's free, common place and it's widely used here in this community. see, I knew there was a miscommunication going on. On the other thing " ( OBSE) " that stands for Oblivion Script Extender, so you see, how odd that made the words appear? Don't worry, I don't bite, but now you have a good result. Isn't a Zip file a compressed file containing compressed data making it easier to send out rather than the original file? In other words, sending a 1 meg data file instead of a 10 meg file. With the OBSE zip file I would download it, then open it, and have a large amount data which I transferred to the appropriate file. Seems I can not UNZIP the FOSE zip file. I do not see any new files appear anywhere when I click Open, JZIP, or anything else.

Can not get the FOSE to unlock for me. I have both the 7Zip and JZip in the same directory but the file will not decode. I have used the OBSE in the past so I have "Some" idea how it should work. Maybe I need a different unlock key.

It's been awhile since I ventured Skyrim. One of the reasons I quit was because of my sluggish cursor ( In game ). I read on one of the back posts to adjust my mouseheading X and Y scale somewhere in a Control file. Where is this file or is there an easier solution? Sorry, but I enjoy playing games more than reprograming my computer. On a scale of 1-10 of techno understanding I'm around 1.5. Please keep it simple. Thank you.

Ok, managed to get the item by adding the gun runners arsenal mod and typing in 01 as my prefix. Now the problem is it won't mod with my tri-beam. Is it possible I already have those mods installed? I didn't install them if they are. It seems I can't make any of the modifications to my tri-beam.

Do you mean like, 00 or 01? If so, I've tried those. I'm using the NMM and only have a max of 5 mods at any one time.
