  1. The Stealth Suit in Old World Blues often makes comments depending on certain situations. If your Pip-Boy light is on and you start sneaking, the Suit will tell you something along the lines of “your Pip-Boy light is on.” The Broad Daylight perk removes the sneak penalty of having your Pip-Boy light turned on while sneaking, but the Stealth Suit will still make comments about how your light is on and you are less sneaky. I would like to request a mod that removes the Stealth Suit’s lines about the Pip-Boy light being on only if the player has taken the Broad Daylight perk. If the player has not taken this perk (or the perk is removed), the Suit will say the lines as normal. The Stealth Suit is one of my favorite things in the game, but this little thing always bugged me. I’d be grateful if anyone could make this happen!
  2. Was in the middle of a playthrough, decided to add the Groovatron mod. Only played for about 5 minutes, realized a couple of the animations weren't working correctly. So I uninstalled the mod just as it states in the description. Loading up my current save (or starting a new game) now gives a CTD. Loading a very old save loads up just fine, but every single human character is a missing mesh symbol and unable to move.
  3. These are the three Geckos at the well that come running at you. I'm looking at the furthest one way. Those are really good odds to hit a target with no Gun skill, and only 1 Agility, Perception, and Strength. The second closest Gecko was 95 on all limbs. Does tat not seem to high, or is that just vanilla?
  4. Went back, uninstalled and deleted everything in the My Documents folder and the New Vegas folder in steamapps/common. Did a clean install, and ran the game once just to generate ini files. Started a new game, made a character with Strength, Agility, and Perception of 1. Also a Guns skill of 5. I don't often use VATS, but the chance to hit looks high. Or maybe this is normal? It's been a long time since I've used VATS in a play through, so maybe I'm just being dumb.
  5. What's with the hostility? All I said was that I did as you both suggested, and the problem persisted. That isn't your problem, it's my problem. One I've never come across in all the time I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Why do you have any issue with me looking for a solution using the advice of others?
  6. Okay I completely restored to vanilla. and the problem persists. I also used the console and got some of the VATS game settings. Some of the options returned as NONE. Beyond that, nothing really related to calculating chance to hit.
  7. Started a clean save, low Strength and low Guns skills without mods. Problem persisted. Even from a distance, the lowest any chance to hit was 78 and everything else was 88 or 95. Is that normal?
  8. So I went ahead and disabled all mods. Still the same high hit chance. Using the console I changed my Strength and Guns skill to 1. The hit chance was exactly the same. Anyone know what's going on or where hit chance gets calculated?
  9. Started a play through of New Vegas. Went into VATS for the first time, and the chance to hit everything is 95 even at a distance. Only using NMC textures, YUP, and Unofficial Patch. This seems off. I don't remember it being this easy right from the start. Is there a mod to lower the Hit Chance? Or maybe something I can edit. I'm familiar with GECK and FNVEdit.
  10. Here's a couple fixes to try Anyone using a UI mod should disbale it. If you're using DEF_UI, there is a patch out that will work if you aren't using any UI mods and you're getting a CTD, delete all of your ini files and start up the game and it will make new ones. The issues seems to be coming from replacing textures. The lines "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" and "sResrouceDataDirsFinal" are causing crashes to desktop upon loading saves. This means texture mods aren't going to work. For me, this even meant custom weapons wouldn't work. I have been unable to find any fix for this so far.
  11. Having this same issue. Was getting a CTD with those lines in my Fallout4Custom.ini. So I deleted the ini file and the game stopped crashing...but that also means all the custom weapons I was using are no longer usable. Hopefully a fix is found soon.
  12. Are you using Fallout New Vegas Script Extender? If so, open the console using the ` key (next to the number 1 on most keyboards) with the console open, use the mouse and click on the object that you're talking about If done correctly, it should have the name and what looks like random numbers on the top of the screen If you get that far, type in gbo into the console and press enter It should give you another number. Ex: 0854574 Look at the first two digits. (Example above would be 08) Now using Nexus Mod Manager or FOMM look at your load order and see where 08 corresponds Fallout New Vegas would be 00 Dead Money would be 01 Honest Hearts 03 And so on. With Nexus Mod Manager, it should tell you on the right hand side. Not sure about FOMM From the example 08 would be the number of the mod the item came from, so disabling it would remove it from the game
  13. Nope, no sounds, they just appear and reappear without much rhyme or reason.
  14. Any idea what might cause hair to disappear and reappear like this? I'm not changing anything between these photos. The game continues to run and the hair/accessories rapidly appear and disappear. Also note how the Spurs on the player character disappear as well.
  15. Any mods out there that will limit the number of weapons you can carry? Also wear multiple weapons on the character at one time? Have a pistol on your side, two handed weapon on your back.
  16. Doing a modded play through, and I bought myself an Anti-Material Rifle. I have .50 MG rounds, .50 MG (AP), and .50 MG (EXP). It won't let me select the explosive rounds. They ammo type is greyed out as if it didn't match the weapon, but I can use regular, and armor piercing. I also can't switch to it using the "2" key. Anyone experience or come across a conflict like this before?
  17. When I go to look down the sight, the weapon just appears in front of my face. There is no animation where the courier brings the weapon up. But when I stop looking down the sight, the courier does lower his weapon as he/she should. Hope that explains it clearly. I've seen other people have this problem, wasn't sure if there was anything I could do.
  18. Wasn't sure if there was a mod that does this already. Basically I just want the radio to turn down or stop when talking with an NPC, more like Fallout 3 did. Instead my radio continues at the same volume and it's difficult to hear the NPC. I know short answer is to just turn down the Radio Volume under settings, but then it's too quiet when I'm roaming around the Mojave. And it would be tedious to switch back and forth all the time. So is there any mod that makes radio play more like Fallout 3?
  19. Anyone ever thought to animate or make a creature out of the Walking Eye from Old World Blues (if you have Wild Wasteland trait)? Seems like it would use the Chinese Spider Drone animations if it were to move.
  20. I've made a working, functional, companion wheel, perk adding and removing companion. It's got voices and lip files. What I need now is specific instructions on how to get rid of the option to fire him to the Lucky 38 Suite if I haven't even been there yet. I couldn't make heads or tails of the condition and scripts for the other companions, so I need your help if you can.
  21. it says "NVSE version:2" so does that mean something's wrong?
  22. I have been at this for a while. I downloaded and installed the FO3 Groovatron and all reccomended poses. Then downloaded and installed the FNV version of Groovatron. I added all the meshes, textures, sounds, and overwrote the Fallout 3 versions with the files in the New Vegas versions. I enabled "The Groovatron NV.esp" and disabled "The Groovatron.esp". Load up the game, wait for 15 to 20 seconds, and nothing. I need help. I have used clean saves, used new and old versions, used nothing but the Groovatron on my mod list, and removed/added archive invalidation. Nothing is working. Not sure if it helps, but whenever I disable the Groovatron mod and load a save where it should have been added to my inventory, the game doesn't give me that warning saying something like "This save relies on content which is...blah blah blah." At this point I'm pretty desperate. Any ideas will help me out.
  23. Dogmeat died in battle. After it was over I resurrected him only to find that trying to speak with him did nothing and then he wandered off in a direction. Anything I can do to fire him or get him back through console commands?
  24. I guess I was afraid of the keyboard. I look at it and go, "wow, there's a lot of room for error." But I definitely agree, aiming is much more accurate and faster with the mouse. But there are times when it's not as fast for me. My first time using the keyboard and mouse to hack a terminal, I couldn't figure out how to close it for like fifteen minutes. I'm going to try and use keyboard more, just because of things like Project Nevada and what not. But at least I know I'm not the only person here still using a controller.
