  1. On the higher settings at 1080p you should expect these frame rates. I would't upgrade DDR3 any more, save your money for when you have to upgrade your entire system. Which motherboard do you have and are you sure it doesn't throttle the 8350
  2. You could start with just watching YouTube, https://www.youtube.com/user/Techquickie https://www.youtube.com/user/explainingcomputers https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCss3QxegBkF8BAetIo0qXA
  3. Yes the case is not that big, I've got this beast. http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Primo.html Carpet is not nice for a PC to stand on but that Phanteks case has good ground clearance.
  4. Make one yourself or get someone to make one. A sturdy plank and four good quality wheels is all you need. Also a CPU is the processor nowadays so CPU stands might not be the best search term. Or you could go to a hardware store and buy a furniture transporter. https://www.karwei.nl/assortiment/handson-meubeltransporter-multiplex-56x30-cm-met-harde-wielen-en-anti-slip-max-200-kg/p/B522598 I know its in Dutch but you get the idea.
  5. The fact that the CPU is dead is very unlikely, if there is one component that can take a bit of rough handling its the CPU. I've ordered quite a lot of CPU's from China and never received a bad one.
  6. For a 1060 6bg, 1080p 60Hz is the right monitor choice. An ivy-bridge (3rd gen) Xeon + mobo + RAM will cost you 200-250$ A case + PSU 100$ SSD + windows 125$ Monitor: for a nice ips one 125$ Where can you get an SSD, and windows, for 125???? Just windows 10 home is 120????? Here you go A quick link would be nice, I don't want to sit thru an 11 minute video...... The video is more for not getting banned reasons and to show that is is legal. https://www.kinguin.net/

  9. What is an i2 Core 2 Quad? At what resolution can a gt710 run fallout 4?
  10. Q1: If your GPU is running at 99% that means that it is the bottleneck as it should be. Q2: it is a laptop, it gets hot your temps are good. Q3: Your CPU is already at 70% I think it will bottleneck the external graphics card. They won't work together you will fully run your games on the AMP. Conclusion: I don't think the amp will do you any good because the CPU will bottleneck it.
  11. It might be a small RAM issue, sometimes motherboards have a little trouble booting when you fill all the slots
  12. Reading this I can only hope fallout 5 doesn't screw it up.
  13. That's what happens when I hit the motherboard's "reset" button. Nevertheless I have to keep on doing that. It's not the new GPU drivers because it happens even without the AMD software installed. I fear that my motherboard might be running on its last legs. Getting a new CPU, RAM and mainboard isn't a problem, financially. The problem is I can't find a decent board that has at least 12 sata connectors (the Z77 eXtreme11 has 14) because I have 10 hard drives and two burners. For the time being, I'll keep my computer running for as long as I can without shutting it down. I'm afraid not, http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1949254/reset-button.html The best way to clear the cmos is the button that clears the cmos on the back of the pc that says clr cmos. Or pull out the power cord and the little battery on the motherboard for 10 minutes.
  14. Have you tried setting the bios settings to the default ones?
  15. I don't doubt that there might me some bugs, but the whole thing seems off especially the report that says AMD stock is worth $0 and the should file for bankruptcy. They also paid Dan Guido $16.000 for the peer review which is fishy. Also both reports used so many buzzwords to get to investors like espionage and national security. The fixes for Spectre are out, apparently Intel has decided to patch up to sandy bridge, I hope they patch up to the C2D 8xxx/ C2Q 9xxx
  16. If you had read just a little bit into the cts-labs you would know it is absolute nonsense, they flashed a custom bios on the system.
  17. The 1060 3gb is a lot faster than the 1050ti regardless of the size of the memory buffer. The 7700 runs hot make so sure the case has enough airflow. Why last gen Intel you know the 8th generation has six cores on the i5's right, and they are probably cheaper.
  18. A modern PC needs an ssd, a cheap NVME one would be perfect for Ryzen
  19. On widows 10 just type system information in the search box. Or you could use CPU-Z for information.
  20. The Dutch government gives a lot of money to microsoft to support XP machines that control critical infrastructure like bridges, pumps, dams and road signalling. It cost's a lot of money but without it I would be 3m under water right now
  21. It could be your power supply, what model is it and how old is it. The power supply is the only part of a computer that physically ages. Maybe switch the monitors around?
  22. If you don't connect to the internet windows XP will do fine, no need to update. I think almost every ATM in the world runs on XP embedded, but that version is still supported by microsoft. I'm really surprised by the 6.9% that still uses Windows 8.1 You could upgrade to 10 for free why wouldn't you from 8.1?
  23. 5760x1080 is a pretty high workload, maybe something has gone wrong with the power delivery it happens. I wouldn't buy any new graphics card right now anyway just use one 1080p monitor for a while and wait for the prices to go down.
  24. Yes 5760x1080 would be a bit much for a 970. You are trying to run 6.2 million pixels, 4K is 8.3 million and fullHD which the 970 should run fine is only 2 million. So if you get a new card maybe a GTX1080 won't even be enough and a 1080ti would be the better choice.
