Wow! I figured it out. This looks REALLY cool, but might be a BIT much. Thanks for all your help guys. The only thing is if I decide to turn off this ENB, or get a new one like the K one, how can I know which files to delete?

Is there a good guide for how to combine the textures and a bunch of them? Holy MOLY I looked up those nude ones out of curiosity! Those are crazy. I'm a lady though, so I'd need me some PPs if anything. Also, it's funny you mention making the skeleton guys scarier, do you know if there is anything to make them less scary? I get super creeped out when I'm playing at night and have to go into a cave. Actually, if I have to go into a cave I usually save it for daytime but they still make me jump. I know, I'm a big baby. EDIT: I figured out how to install the ENB, I can tell it worked because of the text on my screen when I start skyrim. I'm having trouble installing any of the ENB settings mods though. It keeps looking the same.

I just built myself a new computer for playing skyrim. I have a 3 GB HD 7970 video card in my computer. Without mods (and with all of the mods I put in there so far) I'm running on great settings. I went through this guide and installed the mods that looked interesting to me. I installed SKSE and BOSS. I'm not really sure what to do with BOSS. After I installed the mods I ran BOSS and then just opened the game from the SKSE loader, not sure if that's right or not. Here are the mods I have so far. The ones with the X's are ones that weren't working for some reason. I don't know why the hearthfire and dawnguard patches aren't working, I have those games. I didn't enable the one texture pack because it wanted to overwrite other files. Also on this list and enabled (I didn't want to attach another screenshot) is WATER and Xenius Armour Compilation. I installed a FXAA injector and tried playing around with the settings and now my game looks pretty funny. I like the screenshots I see where the game looks more colorful than it should and the lighting looks cool. I basically am trying to get the game to look super awesome and I really need a step by step dummies guide. I think I'd do best with a specific recipe to follow. I can't wait to get playing! Any suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. I'm having trouble figuring out how many watts my power supply is. The model is HPE-170i and I can't find a reliable source online to tell me what the watts are. What do you mean about people buying the most powerful rig but still having low FPS in skyrim?

I'm looking for some advice about how to best increase my frame rate. I would like to play skyrim with the best settings with some mods installed too. On the settings the game picked automatically for me (high) the game is very choppy. I currently have no mods installed. My computer details: HP desktop Intel Core i7 [email protected] GHz ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series video card 8 GB RAM 24" monitor 64 bit windows 8 I'm assuming the worst part of my computer is the graphics card. Would a new graphics card around ~$250 or less increase my game quality significantly? I might consider spending more money if it will help the performance. When I get a new card can I use it in conjunction with my old card, or do you have to use one or the other? Are graphics cards plug and play or would upgrading it require a lot of technical knowledge? Thanks for any suggestions!

I've been working on the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests. I haven't gotten very far (I think?) in the thieves guild questline, I just burned the beehives. Other than that, I've been doing jobs for Vex and Delvin. I have gotten pretty far in the Brotherhood quests. I am now supposed to talk to Delvin for sanctuary upgrades. When I went to him, he keeps saying something about how I'm "making waves around here". When I activate him, he doesn't let me turn in that quest. I tried to finish an open Numbers Job quest I had from him, but he still won't interact with me! What can I do to fix this? I don't have any saves to go back to. I don't even know when this problem could have started. I tried googling this, and the one piece of advice I found didn't apply to me because it was about a different quest I don't even have. Any help is appreciated!!
