  1. I like the sound of what you are trying to do man, I have a limited understanding of scripting and I'm pretty good with NPC creation and dialogue creation, if you have a script in mind for your actors then that just makes the whole processes quicker. If any of that sounds like something you may need send me a PM and I'll see what I can do, I have a day job so my time can be limited but it varies; I'm free most Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays. I'm from the USA, East coast.
  2. In order for it to take effect you need to check the little box next to the mods name in the data files section of the fallout launcher.
  3. There is a mod called "Gun Runners Actually Run Guns" by Ripple. It's adds some Gun runner merchants to the wastes.
  4. I hope this helps you friend, if you need any more help or something didn't work out just right let me know, I might be able to set it straight.
  5. Now, on the right side of the screen you will see a box named "Object window" find the tab called NPC and click it. Now in the filter type the name "Willow" It should bring up a result. This will be the NPC of willow. Click it once, right click and click edit. Now a new window will come up In this window there will be a tab named "Inventory" Click it. All of the items willow has in her inventory will appear here. Find here weapons, and double click it. A new window will come up. It will be here weapon. You should see the damage box, change the damage to one, click ok and the box will close. Click okay on the willow npc box, it should close. Then click the save button once more. Congratulations, you have made your first mod!
  6. Wah, when you begin in geck there will be three windows. When you look at the top to the far left you see the "File" tab. Under it is a bar with little icons. The second icon from the right is of a little open folder. Click that Icon. When It opens you will see all of you mods and there names. Next to the names there are little boxes with or without an "X" in them. Clicking the boxes with the "X" in them will uncheck them. Only check the "FalloutNV.esm" flie and the mod willow is from, now, click okay. Give it a few moments to load the files. Once they are loaded click the little icon of a floppy disk, this is the icon next to the folder icon you used to select your files. This is the save button, name your save. WillowWeapEdit.
  7. Hey Wah, a quick tip. When and if you edit the mod make the damage a 1 at lowest not a zero because weapons that do no damage can sometimes cause odd bugs. If you need any help with geck or anything leave a post in here or send me a PM, I'd be glad to help you out. I'm no master by any means but I know my way around enough to do what I need.
  8. One step ahead, I got the script working after a little help from you guys, thanks a bunch :3
  9. Shameful bumping, I really want this little bot to get a purpose. The bot thanks you ;3
  10. This mod sounds great James, I'll defiantly try it out and leave some feedback :3
  11. After some trial and error I think I got it down. I thank the people in the live chat for the help with this problem :D thanks guys. If anyone has any suggestions to go along with this little bot let me know, I'm going to leave the main post just in case someone wants to read it but for now this issue is resolved. Hey guys, long time lurker here and I hope I'm posting in the right place. I've been messing around in the GECK for about a week now, as well watching tutorials but I can't seem to find what I need help with. I'm trying to restore and improve the Sentry Bot Toy cut-content into a little follower that can be dropped, picked up, told to wait, and, when broken, fixed with parts at a workbench; I have a few more ideas but I want to go one step at a time because I'm still learning. A little background on the Sentry bot toy if you haven't heard of it before, it's a small sentry bot that doesn't have a weapon (There is a great mod on the nexus that give the little guy a BB mini-gun :3) and it follows the player around; it flees during combat but will return once it ends. If attacked and destroyed a broken version is picked up in place of the live one (and can not be fixed unfortunately, This is what I'm trying to fix first). The Sentry bot toy mob is in the RandomEncounterNPCs cell with Malcolm Holmes (Sunset star cap guy) and when the misc item version of it is dropped it moves to the player. I have made a recipe to craft the little guy at a workbench which requires the broken version and a few other miscellaneous items. The problem I am having is I don't know how to edit the script to resurrect the sentry bot toy after you have repaired it at a workbench because the creature variant is still dead. Any and all help or comments are appreciated, please and thank you everybody :3. If I posted this in the wrong place I'm sorry about that.
