  1. Have you installed an ENB, that makes use of the (relatively) new subsurface scattering? Some of these ENBs can cause neck seams. Disabling subsurface scattering in the ENB GUI usually "fixes" the problem.

When I was using the same build months ago I didn't have this problem , out of sudden when I logged into the game I am having it.

I am using an enb but its the same one I was using before, I turned it off and I can still notice the problem.

I have screens from the same build 2 months or less ago without any problem

Edit: I am sorry you reply was right, its because of this enb, I was trying a different, enb, my old enb didn't have the problem even tho subsurface was on

    Thanks

  3. Hey there

So lately I was trying to learn how to create follower.

I managed to do the standalone hair, body, but my character has a neck seam.

1- The texture I am using is SG (and because SG has a mesh for head I was using that mesh), the body is a custom made CBBE

    here first example: https://s8.postimg.cc/wxou0bw85/example.jpg

after changing the skin color and neck to something similar my result: https://postimg.cc/image/h0oewii2l/ (if you zoom in you will notice a little seam, idk if you call this result is fine)

meanwhile that result look like this in CK: https://s22.postimg.cc/agbzf9qc1/whyqq.jpg

an important note is that when I change the skin tone RGB number the face colors doesn't change only the body

2- its about using racemenu slider for my follower, I know that you have to use nif merge to merge the facegen + the exported racemenu facegen the thing this tool doesn't work for SSE, so how do i do that, I can't have a racemenu look without that step

Also I was editing a certain standalone follower, I wanted to change her body to my custom CBBE, that follower was made by racemenu, when I edit her in CK and change the body, her facegen becomes differet than how she should be, so what I did was replacing the facegen with the original one, but doing that makes the face texture colors different than the body aka neck seam

I also read on a certain video something about copying the RGB number of the skin tone from race to use it for the face tinting , but the thing is example is by using someone else follower so I don't have these numbers as its not my follower I just wanted to edit her for my game because I want to use my custom body for her.

so if my explanation is not clear, I hope someone can provide me with helpful tips

  4. hey there

my question is actually a general one so it valid for sse and sle i think

so I built my bash patch which turned off some of my mods including dyndolod esp and xpmsse

from what i understand that when bash patch turn off some plugins I can leave them as its as they are included in the bash patch, is it even fine to leave dyndolod and xpmsse plugins turned off? (idk for some reason i think something is wrong, I didn't run the game I just built the patch and got like 2 errors for some mods (which i think they are not major ones)

so my bash patch turned some patches off because they were included on it but dyndolod and xpmsse sounds like a big name for me so help plz?!

also can i put the turned off plugins on optional folder (MO user) so i don't see them in the right side

  5. I started with NMM since first came to Nexus. Saw MO and felt it was scary because of all the lengthy install instructions for mods. But the reason I quit Skyrim and FO4 (several times) were entirely due to the inability to migrate my mod installation to a new harddrive or a new computer: felt exhausted to do it all over again.

I wish anyone told me about MO2’s coolest feature: portable. All my installed mods are in MO2 folder. And I am free to move it around. I already moved from D to C, I am going to copy it on my laptop to play on the road. All I needed was to copy and paste the folder and edit the paths in setting.

It looks like you used the Portable version of MO2 because you said you didn’t use installer. If so, you can test by copy the entire MO2 folder to a new location. Copy, not MOVE, because if things go wrong, you won’t have to live with the regret. If all went well, delete MO2 on old location.

After a move, all you need to do is to check all the paths to make sure they are in correct order. Then run Skyrim. Skyrim may not even know you moved, thanks to the virtual file system.

Thanks very much, its the answer I wanted!

  6. I'm not sure what you mean by installing all of your mods from MO inside your game's folder , but I assume I'm just misunderstanding how you organize this

but basically , you can move your installation of the game to the other drive , and just move all of MO's folders to a new location , reinstall MO to the new drive (if you wish) and just configure it to recognize the game in the new location , and the new location of the folders (mods , downloads etc)

this should do the trick , as far as I know

What i mean is , when I download a mod and install it, it will be installed inside mod organizer folder which is inside skyrim SE folder

so if i copy skyrim SE folder even mod organizer and all the mods inside it will be copied, but will it work.

I didn't install mod organizer thro the installer because i have problem with it, so what I did was extracting the rar inside skyrim SE folder.

so in short copy paste will work fine right? and all my mod and plugins list will be the same as it was in C?

  7. hey there

So I wonder If i can move my modded skyrim from C to another harddrive (example D) I have steam library on other drives so not all my steam games are on C

The thing is I believe C drive (where is my windows) has some effects on some mods so I want my skyrim to be away from the windows drive, but I don't want to restart modding it, am able to move skyrim with all the mods by a copy paste?

I am using MO which is installed inside skyrim SE folder and has all the mods installed inside.

  8. Hello there

hopefully some can help with my problem.

Well I am using gtx 1070 with window 8 (I know I can't use the whole vram with windows 8 but i don't even use the 4gb yet), and i have black textures everywhere, I only have 50 esp running , and for now all the most are landscapes tree weather lighting and texture mods, I am not sure why I have this problem with this graphic card.

  9. If your cpu is at least 3.5ghz (preferably faster) a 1070 is justified imo. Gamebryo's engine is more cpu-dependent than most others, with cpus much under 3.5ghz I wouldn't waste the extra money and would opt for a 980Ti or 1060. We run Skyrim/SSE on a slightly overclocked 980 with a 4.4ghz i5 and it's smooth as butter, so even a 980Ti or 1060 should be more than "enough" for it. Just remember the faster a card is, the less of a relative load is put on it by a given game, so the cooler it runs. Usually. Our 980 hits leaf blower mode pretty readily even with a 70-75C fan profile, we're looking into upgrading it because of noise not performance.

its a 3.4 (well .1ghz less so its not a big deal imo (at least i don't want to upgrade it at the moment just to be above 3.4).

so in your opinion getting 1060 + new cpu is better than going for 1070 (just to be clear even tho i am embarrassed to say it, i am using a 4 years old pc, my motherboard is from the third generation while its the seventh now, my graphic card is 660) and because I have to buy games for more than one console I can't upgrade my whole pc and this is why I wanted to go for the graphic card because i thought my problem right now is the vram.

As I mentioned above I am fine with going for 2k texture if something lower than 1070 can deal with it, but the most important right now for me is the mods with scripts, I am sure 1060 or 1070 is a big improvement from my 2gb vram current card, so if you would say 1060 + processor rather than 1070 i can go for that option.

I am not the person that would feel annoyed about the noise (maybe because I didn't encounter this situation, but i think if the performance is huge i can handle some noises.

also a side question why did you meantion Gamebryo's engine, skyrim is using a different engine?

and thanks very much for your reply

  10. Hello

so i am planning to buy a graphic card for skyrim modding (most likely gtx 1070) but I want to know if this card is even "needed" or a lower graphic card can work well and what are the suggestions.

I am not sure if i want to use the word "heavy" modding but its kinda heavy in the amount of installed mods (300+) in case of esp its 100-150, also if many mods has scripts does need a proper processor or anything is fine (i assume scripting is related to processor, my ram is 8 gb in case its related).

also i am fine with using 2k texture (i just want to use some 4k for skins and so, few monsters retexture)

  11. hello there
