  1. Hey there people, i have been wanting to do a new playtrough(style doesnt matter for me) and thus i reinstalled F:NV. Now I just don't know wich mods to add to my list, there are so many :P. anyway, i'm getting of topic here. my question is: wich mods do YOU guys recommend as a MUST HAVE for any playthrough? if possible, please also note the needed compatibility patched for said mods. Mods i have played with before: project Nevada, WMXUE, WMM, NMC's texture pack, More perks mod(including all the addons for it), AWOP and WRP. These mods are lovely, altough the amount of patches required are insane :P. thanks in advance guys!
  2. first of: i'm a fan of the elder scrolls serie and i love skyrim. BUT there is something that has started to bother me... every time you brawl with someone and their health bar drops to zero they won't be killed. but IF your health bar drops to zero.... you die...... same thing goes for the battle(brawl) with Tsun, he knows that you're the dragonborn but kills you never the less if you lose...... I mean.... he just kills the ONLY person in Tamriel who can kill Alduin for good...... slight problem there???? just wondering if there's a mod that fixes just that problem?? p.s. i have 100 mods running so i do know how to install etc :P. and i have over 520 hours into my skyrim. greetz, KW
  3. you could try it on salmon, altough you would then need to watch where the salmon flies of to hahahaha
  4. i would suggest the same as Notmyhome here, what you might do aswell is start dowloading just a few mods from the steam workshop. altough not ideal they are very eassy to install. also, if you want to start modding then I would suggest taking a look at the Nexus Mod Manager. furthermore, for most mods the installation process is on their respective nexus site or included as a readme with the dowload.
  5. going to try it. seems like that is just what i need :D
  6. Hi brandan93(why not 69 :P?), i decided to go with CoT, realistic ligthing overhaul and the realvision enb. in my opinion it looks amazing, about performance i cannot speak.... seems my skyrim still ain't her old self, getting some random (very short) blackscreen whenever there is a save going on(be it auto, quick or manual) and i do have some stutter from time to time altough again: very short ones, and not frequent at all. wish i had my girl back...... skyrim was such a nice place until those leftover scripts(who had been piling up for ages alreaddy, wich indeed is my fault haha) decided to take control and start crashing my skyrim every 2 min. altough the crashes have been helped for the most part, i do get a crash every now and then but i have been clean for atleast the last couple of 6-7 hours :). crash logs are alot smaller aswell haha. anyway: thanks for the reply and i'll keep it in mind :D.
  7. ahhh dynavision! keep forgetting that we have that mod these days. will look it up :D
  8. hey people, after an aggonizing day of trying to get my skyrim back to functional paramaters i now find myself forgetting wich enb+lighting/weather mod i was using(altough i believe it was CoT and its enb preset) now my question is: wich enb's and lighting/weather mods do you advice? and could anyone explain to me how to *correctly* install enb's??? greetz, Crusader
  9. hey Oilislaw, been having a similar problem myself these last couple of WEEKS myself. still haven't figured out what is causing the crashes itself. i've tried to really delete my entire mod file stuf. don't know if the CTD is still happening because i'm now dealing with my hud not showing up(disabled ihud for testing purposes aswell). my hud is just gone :P. pretty dammed if you ask me haha. please don't give up. perhaps we can help each other in some way down the road :). what i would advice is this: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again altough for me it seems it has not worked. also: did you clean your mods of their dirty edits?(have to do so myself still aswell so :P)
  10. alright... soooo.. the problem i'm facing right now is that i have no HUD what so ever.... iHud doesn't want to toggle/bound toggle key does not work. then again... even with iHUD disabled i have no hud.... anyone know something about this? alright little edit here folks: reverted back to complete vanilla skyrim yet again but this time i decided to do a test run WITHOUT ANY mods. all worked jsut fine, i got my hud etc. etc. etc. will keep you guys posted about CTD's i may or may not experience after this. I wish to thank you all again for taking the time to help a skyrim fan like me :D. CHEERS! found the conflicting mods that removed my hud. i had the 2 mods: a thinner compas(version 1.1, now 1.3) and iHUD(latest version), it seems that the 1.1 thinner compas was conflicting with iHud
  11. as stated previously i am well known with modding(atleast the dowloading, installing and problem solving part) so i know that mod by mod checking won't work. never stated that i would be doing that, altough i do understand that saying:"uncheck every mod and then slowly recheck them like i did countless times" could cause you to think that i meant 1 by 1 haha. i actually work with groups of 5-6 mods each time. never the less i do understand your point. and as far as i know: i have comp. patches alreaddy for mostly annything that really needs those patches, again i am well aware what could happen otherwise. going to do all of that right now, and i'll be coming back to you guys to let you know the result :D p.s. thanks for pointing out to me that there is a better alternative for SoS :D. two questions remain though: 1. is it safe to keep using alternate start- Live another life? 2. what do you advice with dirty edits? that clean all function or going by them 1 by 1? 'cause that seems to be days work :P
  12. Did you add all those mods one at a time, run BOSS and test? That is the best way to identify a problem when starting. You also have some other messages abotu things to be fixed (I'm looking at the list a couple posts back, apologies if that is not your most up to date one.) still find it very very very weird that OFFICIAL skyrim AND DLC's have dirty edits... i mean..... shouldn't they be cleaned up by the devs???? -_- will uncheck every mod and then slowly recheck them like i did countless times before whenever i had incomp. crashes
  13. alreaddy deleted dark nemesis :P actually.... no SOS patches as of right now. will try to get them or delete SoS :P altough i really like the wilds and dungeon SoS -_-
  14. ill be checking on that tomorrow... or later this weekend... i got all the stuf correct(as far as i know) and know the game starts to randomly ctd on startup(well.. not really random... more like every dam time...) even considering the de-installation of every game, and every other thing i dowloaded. thus practically rebooting my pc....
  15. used that script cleaner... no scripts deleted in my new game save file... the CTD's appear random at first but now i begin to suspect that something is causing my skyrim to wreak havoc upon itself every 3-4 minutes. so no, not random. frequent even. deleted my entire skyrim stuf according to this http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again guide. this time i did however create a backup file right after completing them steps, so reverting back wont be a problem anymore. getting really desperate here. already have 520 hours into skyrim, never and i mean NEVER have i had this problem during those entire 520 hours(except for mod incompatibility related crashed that is, altough those were fixed very fast). updated my post with the new mod list, and the first log. wil get the second log in aswell asap SPIKE.ESM is needed for immersive weapons btw. crash on startup without it.
