  1. i agree, a progress update would be nice as it has been a while
  2. if you really are desparate for all of the powers, you can always cheat... thanks for your answer jet! i actually prefer it this way as it makes the players choices matter. there is only one point in skyrim where they do and it means that theres more replayability with your mod in case i wanted to try a different class.
  3. wow those 3 powers are insanely OP. makes me wonder what you're thinking of for the other two classes are and thinking of what you get for the 3rd ascension is scaring me. That being said, seraphs are usually depicted as musicians, artists, holy warrior poets, and leaders of other angels, capable of swaying the hearts and minds of others for good or ill and supposedly have the voice of god, such as being able to kill someone or perhaps lots of people with only a single word. sound familiar? *snark* the thu'um' *snark* but cranked up to 11, like fus roh dah LITERALLY shouting people apart, fire breath and frost breath amped up to dragon level proportions, become atherial having no time limit, dragonrend being an aoe instead of single target allowing it to hit multiple dragons at once, and stormcall being a typhoon etc and with no shout cooldown for any shouts. Another power i could think of is Smite: call down rays of the sun that incinerate your foes to pure ash, and making undead panic and flee from you in fear, regardless of their strength, while holy light and flame erupts from you and burns all who get near you to ash. Makes sense to me since the word "seraphim" translates to "the burning ones" in Hebrew. as for the 3rd power i could think off, it would be like the spriggan taming ability but on steroids, with it working on anything and everything nearby you, even dragons and humans. which would not attack you and could be demanded to be followers or thralls for an extended period of time. thats it for my suggestions, but i do have a question; if you pick one angelic class, when you ascend the third time are you gaining completely new powers or the powers of the other classes become unlock-able? if you can answer this i would appreciate it. thanks for the mod so far jet!
  4. thank you for the advice. i will try to implement those two suggestions into my code before i run off to work tomarrow. in a previous version of the script where it did compile it instead had runtime errors that caused the script to stop working in-game. ill post my results once i try and test the methods you suggested.
  5. Hello everyone! I have been trying to get this script to work for some time and It is beyond me why it continues to have runtime errors or fails to compile. I have made a script that fires when the player is struck by another actor, the script is tied to the player character using an activemagiceffect so that is not the problem. the problem is that the OnHit event is not passing the value of akaggressor to a Actor type variable that can be used later in the script. I need to be able to find the baseactor of akaggressor so i can test to see what its race is or if it has specific keywords. The point of this script is to make different things happen depending on what type of creature it was that hit the player. such as if it is a wolf it does X and if its a skeleton it does Y and if its an NPC it does Z and so on. but as it is right now, I can't get it to test to see what the base actor is of akaggressor so i can check what race it is, what keywords it has and so on. I really need help on this b/c I cannot figure out what is wrong. I posted the full script below in its current state in a pastebin. http://pastebin.com/8G3Tfrkm My papyrus log is pasted below for when the script compiled but had runtime errors. http://pastebin.com/MiPpeKXv i will be checking back here regularly to see what anyone has suggested or said.
  6. Id take a look at what the ranks of angels are called for different judeo-christian religions. Wikipedia is a good start. Though you already are using some of the terms in your mod :)
  7. I can agree with that as as far as i can tell jet's daemons are not evil creatures in the slightest like you said, there are other mods for that. xD i was only dropping my two cents into the bucket for ideas regarding customization. Tbh, six wings might look really stupid and have some nasty clipping errors. Thus why i suggested it being a release like shout that only seraphim could learn, also allowing for 2, 4 and 6 wing options. more options hurt no one, well, other than the dev who has to make them x3 on another note, i have left the modding sphere for now as I've recently gained a new job and i don't have spare time to mod while juggling work and school simultaniously and it just feels better for me to wait for SKSE to catch up or a fork be made for SSE before i keep going on mods right now. I hope i can get back into skyrim modding soon, possibly December/January.
  8. the biggest difference could be that daemons have black wings, seraphim in most lore have 6 wings and if they do perhaps you could summon 2 of them in sets in some sort of power release system, maybe another shout or something, and angels could look like nephilim do, considering in the lore thus far it says that nephilim could easily hide among them if they knew how to mask their signatures fairly well. angels could also emit some sort of glow during combat and will always be hostile to you if you are in angel form, regardless if your a nephilim, seraphim or daemon. Tbh, i would like it more if daemons had the option of black or white hair/eye/wing colors, and are just as beautiful as seraphim and nephilims. If there were customization differences, daemons should be the only ones who get the pure black colors, rather than a darkish or blueish gray at darkest. as for the glows for your character, more angelic powers in general would always be welcome. an auric glow perhaps for seraphims in the blueish or goldish color you mentioned while daemons could be green or red?
  9. Thank you for the update. As for my own personal note, i won't be even bothering with SSE until SKSE updates to being usable with, I have too many (good) mods that rely on it or SkyUI, which requires SKSE. If SKSE never updates then I will never care about SSE, both as a player and as a modder myself. My own mods require it as well. I should also note that I would like my own mods to be console friendly... eventually... once the bethesda.net gets its act together. While I understand your choice to move forward with separate mods so that SSE will work with them and i find that completely reasonable, I won't look at SSE until SKSE catches up. Hopefully it will or someone will make a fork of it to work with it.
  10. Will the angelos concept and ascension be a thing for nephilim characters in this new version and if so what perks, downsides, and new oppertunites will be presented to the player? will we be able to interact with some angels or take up quests? Would they just become eternally after you regardless of where you hide? and how would the enclave react to you becoming an angelos? I find the concept of daemons fascinating but its not something I will play. I'd rather stay a holy creature of light. Also, will angelos not be capable of becoming vampires or WWs? (i think i already asked that before). And will angelos have to ascend with the same ritual that a mortal would become a daemon through or would it be something different. and lastly, will it be something the player would have to stumble over to find out or would there be any quest or clues about it other than maybe some notes in septimus signus's lookout? Id much rather the player learn about this by attempting to read an elder scroll when your not supposed to (not main quest events) and that leads them on the right path, essentially a easy way to give people a push in the right direction/start the quest and again, no quest markers, you would need to put two and two together to get to the right place, think a bit, follow the bread crumbs, and listen to the clues, essentially reading the elder scroll is a big clue. Otherwise, they would have to stumble over the notes on the ritual from somewhere, whether its from a hermeus mora cultist, spare notes in septimus's outpost, or buried in the angellic archives.
  11. I see. Good to know you are still working with other vampire/ww overhaul mods. almost everyone and their dog uses at least one. for example, i use better vampires and royal bloodlines together. Never played a WW b/c they are not as good imo as vampires.
  12. Could you easily drop one then pick up the other? like if you wanted to switch from vampire to WW, could the altars in the enclave make it easy to switch whenever and could you do it as many times as you like? given they are unlocked ofc. edit: as a fellow modder, just dealing with vampires and WW's in a race plugin is a pain. a WW/vamp hybrid would be a coding nightmare.
  13. overpowering true angels is going to be hard. just as a short example, Seraphim which are a mid-range ranks angel can kill mortals by just speaking, (a unique fus-ro-dah that's a 1 shot kill perhaps?) and are the masters of language (know all shouts?). Makes me wonder if ascension will progress through a faction or story line. Liking the changes so far!
  14. Thanks jet, my last suggestion here is that if a nephilim does the ritual (same one that makes a human a daemon) it would make them angelos. Becoming Angelos isn't like becoming a daemon as your trying to go for 100% angel and it is something you can't do until the end-game anyways - also angelos should not be able to become vampires or WW's b/c there is no more mortal blood left in you- but for what your giving up there should be more angelic powers that are unlocked to your character or the ones you have become more powerful/less restrictive - for example, you can use true Resurrection on a dead NPC, (like the cheat code), summoning down holy rays of light as an attack similar to Auriel's bow, a light based aura that hurts your enemies while in combat and heals your companions/allies, weaker death penalties like getting up after bleedout or an ability that is like the avoid death perk (should stack), and being outright able to destroy undead that are below your level by simply pointing a finger at them. Just some ideas of true angel powers, so don't take my word for it. Also, whatever powers angels or angelus have or can have should be something you can get once you become angelos - so they would be using them against you in combat if or when you fight them. Look forward to see what comes out of the update when its ready. =)
