I don't usually grab mods without a before and after -- nothing personal or ethical in it, it's just I usually look at a huge list of texture mods at once and no direct comparison can make it hard to pick. On the other hand, if I'm looking for something specific, chances are that the deafult specifically bugs me, or is underwhelming enough at least that I know exactly what it looks like and want to change it -- a comparison shot is uneccessary as long as an 'after' shot is available. . .preferably a natural-play one, but I understand the artistic need to show off your work in the best possible way, so it's not much of an issue if the only screenshot is something that doesn't even look like it could have come from the game. The only time I'm ever actually annoyed with a mod/modder is when it is missing screens (for something that visuals are the point), a quick YT vid with the sound-clip (for sound-replacers), or any kind of description at all (for literally any mod, yet this still happens). The first two can be gotten around, there's usually a YT clip somewhere even just hours after a mod is made -- but no description is just tacky.
