Wow, thanks a bunch! I've been reading the begginer's guide at the CS Wiki and is helping a lot with the basics. As soon as I can find myself, I'll jump to that link about doors. And later to TES Alliance, which seems to be for more seasoned modders. I'll mess around a little and come back here if I need some more advice I can't find on the previous links or to say I've did it! -

Thank you, Harvald! This seem much simpler said than done :P I've tried to mess up a little with CS yesterday and it seems VERY complicated. If I wanna do this, do I have to load all my mods when I open the C When I say I'm green I mean it! -
Hey everyone. Hope this the right place to ask and that the title is clear enough - my english is not that good sometimes :tongue: Anyway. I've downloaded this A Dark Lair mod, which has a really great and easy to manage home. It's small, the way i like it. The downside is it's location. I'd like to change it to some other place, where you can easily fast travel to. Maybe add a door on the Waterfront House basement (added by Better Cities, I guess) that leads to this same location, or change an useless house or cave some other place. Still thinking about where to. The thing is that I'm completely green at this. I know a little bit about installing mods, but not about making them! Straight to the point: - Could I, being the newbie I am, do this by myself? - If so, can it be done with TES Construction Set? - And last thing is, is it possible to create an .esp file to "backup" this modification? I don't intend to launch it as a mod, is really for my own personal use and I DO intend to communicate the author about it. But I'd like to be sure if this is easy enough for me to handle before anything else. Thanks in advance!

Bumping this old thread. I've read the description and it doesn't seem to be the case to use this OAF. But thanks for your reply :) I'm looking for some .ini configuration that perhaps fix or reduce this issue. All this time the game slows down on specific places. Leywaiin Mage's Guild is the most emblematic. Gives me the chills to start a new game and think about talking to Dagail about the recommendation :P Does anyone knows what exactly happens there? My guess is dynamic light and shadows, but I'm not sure. Any tips? -
Are you sure? I mean, the mod was meant for the skulls to be traded and, as stated in the mod's comments tab, some people have made it happen. Also, they have prices on them. Now, thinking a little more about it, I've two runeskulls on my inventory and never found someone who would buy them (wouldn't sell it, but I believe it'd appear near the soul gems on some trade screens). Is there any way to go around it? I'd REALLY REAAAALLY hate to kill her to grab the ones I want.

Hey, thanks for the reply, Black Ninja. My laptop messed up and I totally forgot about this thread until today. Anyway, I've found out that she randomly wakes up but never sells. Is there any way to edit Riych on the Construction Set or to "force" her to sell me via console? I know it's almost impossible to have a command like this, but it doesn't hurt to ask :tongue: I'd hate to have to kill or pickpocket her to get the stuff, as she is a fairly easy to prey (even with the Dreugh and the Murderer) and the loot is HUGE! It's sad to see such a great mod with this kind of problem! Any more tips about this issue will be more than welcome. _____ ** UPDATE **: I've waited for sometime and the Dunmer went behind the counter (actually, she stood by it's side, but meh) and I could trade with her. The only problem is that this woman will sell me anything but the freaking runeskulls. Just another way to piss me off. :dry: When I kill her I can grab all the runeskulls from her corpse, but she won't sell me any. What now? :confused:

Hey everyone. Well, the title says it all: in the A Necromancer Shop mod, which adds a new store underneath the IC Bridge, the shopkeeper is always sleeping and never trades. I've searched the forum and ALL the comments on the mod's page, but the author didn't gave any solution and this seems an recurrent issue with a lot of players. Even though there could be some mods I use that conflict with it (Enchant Mastery, maybe Better Cities) the problem is only with this character. The other features added by the mod works fine and didn't gave me any problema so far. I don't know if there's something that can be done, but it's worth a try. Thank you very much, Striker! REALLY helpful guide. Gladly, I was able to remove them from my inventory. Here is the armors' codes, in case anyone else stumble upon this same problem (no monitor photographs this time :P): http://i.imgur.com/9Z7r9TH.png My version is the higlighted one. I just wonder why you can't equip it or at least see it in your inventory in order to drop it.

Thanks for your reply, Striker. I can handle myself on console commands find those numbers on the load order on OBMM as well. The problem is that the armors don't seem to be an "existing" item, as it's nowhere to be found on UESP wikia (just a test armor I've pasted above). I have some specific SI items that I could drop to take a look, too, if needed. Also, i've never opened the Construction Set. I'll give it a try tomorrow, but I'm already thinking that I won't find this item. When it was dropped by the knights, it looked like a far-fetched bottle of poison. Again, thanks for your insight. I'd really apreciate some more inputs about this, though.

Hey everyone. I'm playing the main quest of Shivering Isles right now where you eventually meet up with those Knights of Orders. I was fighting them in a quest when I killed one and it's armor fell off (due to UVIII, I suppose). Happy about it, I picked it up thinking of it as a great decoration item for one of my houses. However, it was nowhere in my inventory. It happened again later on, I've picked it up and the same results. The thing is those two armors adds 54 pounds (?) to my encumbrance and I can't take them off. I've tried the console command to "removeitem" the test armor (as stated in a UESP page) and no results. The command removeallitems just let me holding the essential stuff and I still have those damn 54 whatevers to my encumbrance. I've took a picture (I know it's ridiculous, but couldn't make the screenshot work via ini file + removing anti-aliasing, so it will have to do): http://i.imgur.com/AscSx6F.jpg What can I do?

Thanks for your reply! It's a good guess the Quest Award Leveler, though I believe it only works on items on your inventory and received items, not containers. About the options, I knew about it and choose the one which would give me more items. But look at the great guildmaster I've become, got a lot of them :P Just a short update: the gold keep flowing! When I created the topic, it was around 680k. I went back to check the items and I've got 720k now. I'll take a look at the Quest Award Leveler anyway, but I believe it's something else.

Hey everyone. This isn't a bad bug at all, but it can make the game a little too easy. I've completed the Fighter's Guild questline. Gave some orders to the Dunmer (forgot the name) and let it be. A while later I'm back to Chorrol and decide to drop by the guildmaster chest to check out the loot and. after 10 or so seconds, the chest opens up with A LOT of weapons, armor, rings, potions and something around 680.000 septims. My guess is that the game originated at least one of each possible item on the chest (there are some with up to 30 or some copies of each!). While this is obviously good, I think it will unbalance the game. I've grabbed two chameleon's ring but there's no way to work around the gold: or I get rich all of a sudden or I'll never be able to get my rewards from the guild. Any tips? Here's the load order:

Was this the mod perhaps? http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/9664 Also, check out Universal Violence 3, that's one that adds some good combat stuff similar to what you're thinking. As for weapon suggestions, well there's a LOT of weapons out there. I'd just browse through the weapons category and see if there's something you like. Hey everyone. A long time ago I remember downloading a mod that allows player and NPCs to use shovels, scythes and other mundane items as weapons. Maybe (and just maybe) it was a big mod that messed with combat animations, like Deadly Reflexes or UV, but i'm not sure. Anyway, I remember to see Glarthir with a scythe on his back and it was pretty cool :P I'm not sure if it's one mod that only does this (which would be better) or if this is just a part o a bigger mod, but I'd be thankful if anyone could help me. Tried to search here and on google, but couldn't find it and I didn't like the mods that adds scythes :\ Also, any suggestions about mods with new weapons would be appreciated. I know there's a lot, but a feedback about conflicts is very much appreciated.

Dunno much about this, but you could try the alternate start mod. It adds some flavor to the PC background and you will be able to have birthsign, class and etc work as they should if you can't fix this. Good luck! :)

Hey everyone! I'm having that old problem with the Dark Minion, but it seems the regular workarounds (getting near the ladder, in and out the place and stuff like that) doesn't work. I've waited around a week inside Deepscorn Hollow, doing all the above and he never came back. So, after a lot o effort to do so, I've managed to console him back (prid + enable + moveto player - only enabling him works, but it takes around 24h for him to appear again). The problem with this solution is that if I ask him to go find some poor souls to kill, he will only keep staring at the ladder and won't go anywhere. Also, when I enter those codes they work, but the console displays a message with something like "Set Stage >>>> 10.00" (I would screenshot it if I knew how to, sorry). Anyway, it's not a HUGE loss, but i'm a big fan of evil characters and Deepscorn Hollow is my fav place, it would be a shame to lose a nice friend like the Dark Minion :tongue: And some additional info: - I'm only lv3 and the Dark Minion was the first upgrade. Dunno if having the place fully upgraded could change it in anyway. - I've "copy pasted" the whole Oblivion folder from my Desktop to this Notebook I'm currently using to play Oblivion. Though I know it's not the right thing to do, I was just too lazy to re-install it plus the mods. But the game did fine until now, i don't believe it has something to do with this. - I have some mods running, but it didn't happened before and I don't think there's any mod that changes DSH in any way (besides Flora Harvest). I've moved the Vile Lair plugin on OMM as low as I could in the Load Order (theres only this same Flora Harvest after it). I'd be most grateful for any inputs and, overall, for a solution that doesn't end up with me reinstalling the game or starting all over on this savegame. I can update this topic with the mod list, order and a screenshot of the console and the Dark Guy staring at the wall (if someone can kindly tell me how to). Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for your reply. My video card is this: Intel G965 Express Chipset Family. Pretty bad, eh? Anyway, Oblivion is running on low settings (not the lowest, I think). I've tried some mods that change grass and other minor stuff and it helped a little. The only real problem is Leywaiin houses. i've also noted that Anvil Mages' Guild slows down the game wuite a lot. It's annoying. I'll turn the item fade down as you suggested but I'm still open for more suggestions! :) Thanks again. -
Hey everyone. I'm having a little problem with specific game locations. The game gets very slow, even to click options and with conversation with others, which is really annoying. The locations are almost all the houses in Leyawiin (I've noted it on the Mage's Guild and Ahdarji's house) and Bravil Mages Guild. It also gets kinda slow running in the wilderness when it's raining. I know my PC it's by no means high end, but in other places it runs ok. Is there any configuration I can change or a mod which could help me? My guess is the firelights. It happens in a minor scale when I grab a torch, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tip! I'm more than happy to receive some considerations about mods worth using. But AFAIK, I've installed DR because it was necessary for other mods I'm using (Simple Dual Wielding, if I'm not mistaken). I wonder if it would work with UVIII. Anyway, now about desinstalling UVII: I just open my OMM and desinstall the omod or do I have to make something else? Delete manually any file/folder, perhaps? -
Hey guys. I've tried to get back to the game today, and after a long chain of downloads to get the Simple Dual Wielding working, the game doesn't start anymore. As it was a old installation with lots of mods, I've reinstalled the game, deleting all the previous mods and reinstalling some. But when I start the game (doesn't matter if via obse_loader or via the regular launcher) it briefly shows the Bethesda logo and crashes, saying that Oblivion stopped working. I think I've installed all the mods and patches on their last version (not 100% sure, though), but I'm not sure if the load order is right. I've noted on obse.log the following sentence: "plugin D:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins\\OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue.dll (00000002 OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue_OLD 00000000) reported as incompatible during query" (you can check all the log down there). I've tried to move the file to the desktop and initializing the game, but it ended up the same. I'll copy paste below the content from obse_loader.log, obse.log and the load order on OMM by now. LOAD ORDER: OBSE_LOADER.LOG: OBSE.LOG: EDIT: I've seen at other topics that people using Win7 should install the game outside Program Files folder, as it could not make the modifications to occur. But the previous installation was in the same folder and it was just fine. I have two HDs, C where Windows is installed and D, for everything else I install. Hope you guys can help.
