  1. Well, I am not applying for your mentor job, but I do have a little suggestion for your specific question. You need to open up your .esp in the Creation Kit, then drag-drop your character into a location. Otherwise the only way to get her into your game is to use the console, as you have done. I don't know what tutorial you were using, but BestInSlot has a nice video tutorial that may be of use to you.
  2. Mods are a personal thing. But you could try looking through the most popular mods on the mods page, or take a look at the STEP Guide's recommended mods, or GEMS.
  3. Huh. I would try going into the skyrim folder and manually deleting everything related to skse, then using the skse installer instead of the manual install. Just to be sure it all installed correctly. Or, maybe trying an older version of skse. I would also make sure that skse has administrator rights, that the saves folder path is correct (that is, that the listed saves folder path your marked in red is actually where you keep your saves) and that the file is not labelled read-only. It might also help to clear out a bunch of saves (if you are attached, just cut/paste to a separate folder. I would also try NOT using quicksave or autosave, just full save and see if that works. Honestly I am not confident any of that will do the trick, but at least you could rule it all out.
  4. Please read the posted thread on the top of this forum "how to ask for help" and post information as that instructs.
  5. Please read the "how to ask for help" thread that is pinned at the top of this form and add needed information as that thread describes.
  6. Well, I don't use CCO. However, if you want something to "skip" skyre, you just need to install it after the skyre and reprocc mods. I used to do that on early versions of Skyre, before there was a general reprocc and not everything had patches.
  7. Well this was a cause of crashes for me-- JSwords.esm Active* Warning: Version 1.4 compatibility patch fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here ("http://www.nexusmods...m/mods/26230").* Warning: Contains unexpected (or out of order) records. A compatibility patch fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here ("http://www.nexusmods...m/mods/26230"). I would definitely recommend getting that taken care of.Plus, you have a bunch more similar messages for headbomb, smithing perks, etc. Those could all be the cause of your problem. also, how are you determining the proper placement for your unsorted mods, or are you leaving them at the bottom? That could also cause crashes on startup. Also, maybe re-read the mod pages for unsorted mods, because BOSS can't tell you if they have master files or patches that are required. Edit:-- I would also look into your SOS files--example--SoS - Civilization-PatchSPO.esp* Error: SoundPropagationOverhaul.esp is not present or is not active. Skyrim will CTD when loading if using this file without SoundPropagationOverhaulI do see that not are active, but I do not know that SOS can be successfully disabled--I would go back and check the mod.
  8. Please replace your mods list with your BOSS log text file. Also, enclosing in spoilers will save people's scrolling fingers. You can find the spoiler tag in the pull down menu of the third icon to the left on the top toolbar. To get the BOSS log text file, just open the BOSS GUI and select to have the log in text instead of html.
  9. Post your new BOSS log, please? Also please use Skyrim Performance Monitor and post the data from that.
  10. lol Great minds, as they say.... I'd second your combat suggestion, too...
  11. I suggest that you are looking at effects from incomplete removal of your old game. Plus adding a bunch of new stuff all at once. IMO it would be faster to start over with a truly clean vanilla game and carefully add all changes one at a time, then test in game, before adding the next. If you do remove a mod, return to a save from before you first added it (this is obvioulsy easier if you add mods one at a time. Follow the STEP guide to ensure a truly vanilla game. The below has links and other useful info.
  12. Not sure what the "recommended list" might be, there are a few out there. The problem you are experiencing is due to adding a bunch of mods at once. I suggest you read through the mod descriptions of the mods you have added. Any decent mod will have a list of what is affected by their mod. You should be able to figure out which mod is involved in that way, assuming what you are seeing is a deliberate mod effect and not a glitch. It could also be a non-mod setting, like AA, AO or depth of field.
  13. True, but 580s are much more expensive. If you could even find one. I am still wishing I could have picked up a 670 when those were still anywhere to be found.
  14. Please read the pinned thread on the top of this board about what information to post when you need help.
  15. In order for people to help you you need to post the information that is being requested. So, post your 1. BOSS log text file (open BOSS GUI, select to have log in text format, copy/paste, enclose in spoiler tags.) You can find spoiler tags in the pull-down menu of the third icon to the left on the top toolbar. 2. Computer information-- CPU, RAM, VRAM, GPU and GPU driver version. 3. Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini 4. Papyrus log 5. Game settings (include any changes you have made through your graphics driver game profile) 6. Any supporting programs (like texture optimizers, skse, etc, with their version and specific settings.) Finally list any mods or programs that you recently removed. Unless you provide information, no one will be able to give you useful advice.
  16. What version of skse are you using? How did you install it? (using the installer or 7zip) If you open steam\steamapps\common\skyrim, do you see the skse files there (the sksexx_xx_xx.dll, skseloader.exe, skse steam loader.exe)
  17. Your post does not make any mention of the mod in question. Also, did you try posting on the mod's page, or reading the mod's discussion page--if it is a widespread issue for that mod, your answer may be there.
  18. Please replace that list with your BOSS log text file. Enclose in spoielr tags. Also please use Skyrim Performance Monitor to capture your performance data, and post that as well.
  19. Post your BOSS log text file (enclose in spoilers if it is long.) It might help to have your papyrus log, definitely enclose in spoilers. And start a new one before recording/saving.) Did you go back to complete saves when you tried other saves? What happens if you start a new game (no other changes, just choose new on the launcher.)
  20. I would check to make sure that your graphics card and skyrim are recognizing your new monitor. You may need to start the game once from the steam launcher.
  21. Well, its a difference of 100 dollars. So that can be limiting (I know I'm trying to save up for one ATM.) I would also like to hear how people with 760s and 770s find Skyrim's graphics are. As far as I can tell from specs, their should be some significant improvements between the 60 and 70.
  22. Copy/paste the BOSS log text file. Enclose in spoilers if it is long.
  23. Alright, so your BOSS log looks pretty good. There are a couple mods that need cleaning but I don't know that would be your windhelm problem. Also--you do place your unrecognized mods, you don't just leave them at the end? (If not, that could be your problem.) Windhelm is a common crash site. Given that you are running your GPU at maximum, you may just have to decrease your settings a bit. Are you using anything other than the default 5 ugrids? When I was using 7 ugrids, I had a stable game, except I would crash sometimes at Windhelm. After reverting to 5, I never crash there any more. Also you have a lot of mods that affect that area--you might try reducing some of those a bit, or using a texture optimizer like SMCO.
  24. Hi, The levels of experience are determined by the values in your Uncapper. You can adjust these by opening the uncapper.ini and altering them to your liking. So, for example: [skillExpGainMults\Lockpicking] 1=1.0 10=0.8 40=0.6 60=0.5 80=0.45 100=0.4 Means that each lock picked from levels 1-10 will give one level of experience, with decreasing gains after that. Your uncapper.ini should be in your data\skse\plugins folder. If it is not there, you may have some problems with your Uncapper install, and that could be the cause of your issue. As to the number of lockpicks or the difficulty-- I don't see that info myself on the lockpick interface. (The difficulty I see before I activate the lock for picking, but not during.) I am using skyre 1.3.
  25. I think the reason you are not getting the help you want is because of the information you are posting. Could you please copy/paste the text file of your BOSS log (open the BOSS GUI, select to have the log in text rather than html, copy/paste and enclose in spoiler tags. Also please provide information about your system--CPU, RAM GPU, VRAM, Graphics drivers version The papyrus log is not a crash log, so the crash will not be shown in that. Also, personally I will not go to random links because of seucrity concerns. May be other people also feel like that. If you saw things specifically in your papyrus file that you are concerned about (Error messages, for example,) copy/paste the sections in question you your post so that people don't have to wade through hundreds of lines. The spoiler tag is in the pulldown menu of the third icon on the top toolbar. If your crashes are more widespread than Elder Gleam, it might help for you to copy/paste your prefs.ini and skyrim ini files. Please also note any changes you made to your game before the crash (especially if you have removed or disabled anything.)
