CTD whenever I near "The Dragon Burial Ground" area
Georgiegril replied to DalemTaal007's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well you have several huge mods that affect a lot of cells, so you might try by completely remove those one at a time, according to the mod authors instructions, to see if you can identify the ones that are conflicting. I had major crashed after updating a few of those from the olde, smaller versions and I had to revert back. Also, you might consider moving Water all the way down to the bottom, even below UFO. I find unless Water is dead last, I get crashes. Maybe not your issue but might be worth the try! Otherwise, you may find the information in Bben's mod troubleshooting guide helpful... -
So, by not using any mods, do you mean you have disabled/and or removed the ones you were using, or that you have never had any mods? I'm guessing the former, since this is the NMM site, and if so, then the problem could be that when you removed a mod it left remnants due to incomplete removal. It might be hard to try to figure out which mod and what was left, but you could try by going back to the mod page for the mods you were using and completely reading the description, readme, and discussion thread to see if a similar problem is a known issue and if there is a fix. Otherwise, you could try the verify game cache thing on Steam, scheck your old savegames to see if there is one you can go back to, or start over with a new reinstalled skyrim.

I don't know the answer, but I do know when I updated a coupla already big mods to the latest versions, which were double and triple the size, I started having crashes that were fixed by returning to the older, smaller, version. Whether this was an aggregate file size issue or just a mod conflict caused by the newer versions increasing the number altered cells, I cannot say. And I would love to know the answer as well!

Is farengar the worst voice-over?
Georgiegril replied to Cipherthe3vil's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Esbern? Really? You mean Max Von Sydow, winner of scads of awards all over the world, and nominated for even more? I can accept that anyone can find any voice personally unappealing, but it is pretty hard to support a charge of "bad" voice acting when referring to someone who has earned worldwide critical acclaim. Personally, Farengar's and Belethor's voices both annoy me, but so do their characters, so I credit them with acting the part. -
When you uninstall, are you trying to do this through Windows Driver update or by using the uninstall a program or by removing the file from your file folder? Do not use the driver update feature of windows. Did you remember to disable Windows Automatic Update before trying to uninstall? If not, Windows will go crazy and try to take over control of your computer in order to give you the driver updates it thinks you need. There is a gigantic amount of information on that link, and the instructions seem excessively meticulous, so it is kinda easy to overlook a step. Maybe go back through and try again extra slow? The good part is after you figure it out you will not ever be able to call yourself computer stupid again! If none of those suggestions work, post back. Actually if they do work, post back, it's good to know what works!

I'm really hoping you want this because you hope to make a SNL "What is Love" tribute mod?http://i3.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/000/099/what-is-love-570898416.gif Like this but with the Dova?

It seems possible that you might be experiencing problems due to graphics or memory overload? What is you card/comp specs, and have you tried to see if this happens at the lowest graphics settings? Also have you run something like CPU-Z, Riva tuner, etc to check your computer's performance during the game? Obviously, the other possibility is mod conflict, in which case BBen's Mod troubleshooting guide should help.

I don't have your answer, but I looked at the video you linked to, and that one has the sound occurring only with interface buttons. It sounds like yours is more random, from your description? Have you tried basic troubleshooting, such as removing all mods, completely uninstallingreinstalling the game from Steam, verifying cache? Also have you ruled out it being a problem with your earphones (if you use them) or the audio jack?

Seems like they would get beta testers for the PC version before release? Has anyone heard?

Skyrim wont start (SKSE related issue)
Georgiegril replied to foursquared's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I'm not sure, but I did notice SKSE changed their install instructions a bit. Maybe re-read the readme file that comes with the app? If you are used to doing it, you may have not noticed the changes. -
skyrim steam workshop not enumerating subscribed files
Georgiegril replied to lycanthropus's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Probably you will have better luck finding people who use the steam workshop on the steam forum. Did you try logging out and logging back in to your steam account? -
Thank you SOOOO much! Once again you are my hero! Thanks for being so kind and patient!

How on earth do you play as a Dunmer in Skyrim?
Georgiegril replied to Uncumber's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
True dat! Personallly, I kinda hate the Nord's cultural superiority thing about as much as I hate the Altmer's. Since being Dragonborn is a gift from Akatosh, maybe the gods figured it was about time to share the love with some other races? In my Skyrim, anyway! -
Is the Dragonborn actually Tiber Septim?
Georgiegril replied to PharmakosChroster's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Personally, I think that ghost died with a concussion (or drunk, he did die in a bar, after alll....) and has spent his afterlife not thinking straight.... What is the official Tamriel position on reincarnation? Wouldn't Tiber be in Sovengaarde? -
Maybe they are waiting for Xbox sales to drop...?

Have you tried changing your shadowbiasscale? I was able to get rid of striping by following the procedure here. I think the exact effects really depend on your own rig so you probably need to play around with them. Generally though, blurrier shadows decrease striping, and if you are triung to get super crisp shadows you are more likely to have the effect. I only see any striping now if I am in a custom mod dungeon that changes lighting significantly.

CTD 20 seconds into game now (with modlist) Please help!
Georgiegril replied to aedra07's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
YOu are using a lot of mods that can potentially cause the issues you are mentioning. The most likely way to find out exactly what is affecting your game is systematic removal of mods, as described in Bben's blog. The fact that it happens at the exact time after start, however, may mean that there is a hardware or driver issue. Have you used something like CPUZ to determine your graphic card and CPU temps, or something like Riva tuner to see what is going on with your driver in game? -
SkyMo version 7 caused massive random CTDs for me, as well as long loads. The file size is huge. Since I was using it with Deadly Dragons and a couple other big mods, I am not sure if it was a collective file size or what. Anyway, I reverted by to version 4 and no problems. I know oither people reverted back to version 5 successfully (check the mods discussion page for info). Warzones is anpther mod that can cause the same problem, and I recall reading lanterns of Skyrim had some compatibility issues. The likely solution for you is to systematically remove mods exactly as instructed by the mod author until your game works, or start will a clean slate and add mods slowly. BBen's blog covers this process better than I can.

Game broken when using ANY Nexus mods.
Georgiegril replied to ramakgaming's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Your drivers may not be correctly installed. NVidia changed the way to do this but didn't get the word out well. So if you use the update drivers function from the Steam interface, or from your own computer's control panel, you will have incorrectly installed drivers which will cause a huge number of problems. You can also no longer use the rollback function as it was intended. You may want to read this link and follow the instructions exactly, then see if your problem is solved. Even if it isn't, at least your drivers will work correctly! -
I had a similar issue once...my follower stopped being able to go in the cavern. In my case it was not the exterior world navmesh, even though it was the same issue, follower would only go so close to the exterior door and stop. I fixed it by re-navmeshing the area around the portal, making sure the navmesh went as far as possible. Not sure why it worked, but maybe it will for you too? (also, you are finalizing the navmesh before you close out? Yes?)

Hi, so I took over a lovely mod. One of the things I talked with the original creator about doing was adding a few more areas. Never having done that, I've been practicing various things in throw-away esps. Now I've got one that I am starting to really like....I know how to connect areas with portals, but is there any way I can import the new area, currently in a separate esp, wholly into the 1st mod plugin? I'm trying to avoid loading screens and/or having to recreate the new area manually, unless I have to. I've looked at a bunch of tutorials, but if there is one that covers this I missed it. Thanks for your help, I haven't gotten too far in the second area, and I would hate to do a whole bunch of work only to have to do it twice.

Why can't shields be placed in the right hand?
Georgiegril replied to bwaresunlight's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Left-handed children in Skyrim are left out for the trolls? I'm with you though, would be very nice to have that choice....
