  1. Is it actually every 20 minutes regardless of place or activity? If so I would consider 1) auto saves causing crash 2) GPU temps causing shutdown 3) other programs (like auto scans, updates, etc.) taking priority and forcing the game to close. I suppose it could be a conflict of mods that have some timed event, though I guess you already went through and TES5Edit cleaned everything?
  2. Are you connected to steam? If not, that could be the cause. If you are and it is still not working, Try loading once from the Steam launcher, then try the skse launcher again. Also I'd suggest giving admin privileges to steam, skse, skyrim, NMM again....sometimes those seem to go wonky on me.
  3. Did you download version 2.2.0 from Github? If you are using an older version that could cause those messages, since they changed their host site. Post your BOSS text file log and also the mods you have added/removed.
  4. You are confusing your hard drive with RAM. (there is also VRAM, which is graphics-specific memory. This is part of your graphics card, if you have one, or you may have an integrated graphics setup, though those are more common on a laptop. Depending on your computer, these may all be integrated, or not. Typically a desktop will have separate components, so you may be able to buy RAM sticks, or upgrade your GPU to one with more VRAM. (this is an easy thing to do yourself, and RAM is cheap--assuming your motherboard supports more RAM.) (Technically, you could configure an external hard drive to act as RAM, but it would be slower than upgrading your RAM, assuming that is a possibility. Probably an SSD external drive would be a better solution in that case.) In order to give specific help, more specific info on your computer would be needed. There is a forum on this site dedicated to hardware and software questions, you will find lots of help there.
  5. I think you may have some misinformation. As I understand you, you are getting crashes (not sure why these are not CTD? Your game suddenly quits, thats a CTD, no error message required.) Or are you saying the screen freezes? Sudden crashes can have a number of causes. The most common is file conflicts or corruption. Freezes are more likely to be related to memory allocation. For crashes, you will want to run BOSS. (this is a program not a mod.)Then read the log and take care of all of the messages. This will include TES5Edit cleaning (use the link in the BOSS log to get the program and a tutorial on how to use it.) This will also require you to properly place mods that BOSS does not recognize (leaving them at the end can cause problems as you describe.) After doing all of that, if you still have problems, copy paste the text file of your BOSS log into a post (just open the BOSS GUI and select to have the log in text file format, not html.) If you are wanting to check whether your computer resources are a problem, the easiest way to do that is do download the Skyrim Performance Monitor (again, this is a program, not a mod.) Run it while playing, and if you want help interpreting, post screenies or the data.
  6. Crash at start up is nearly always a matter of load order or missing master files. If you have not done so, get BOSS, use it, read the log and address all of the messages. If you have already done this, copy/paste your BOSS log text file. Also note any changes you have made (like the mods you added/removed.)
  7. Based on your BOSS log, you still have messages that need fixing. Anything BOSS lists, you need to take care of. This includes removing incompatible mods, proper placement of unrecognized mods...everything.
  8. My connection to sorceforge is back up...probably was a regional server thing.
  9. Upon greater examination, the problem seems to be all of Sourceforge. Since some people have no problems at all, I am suspecting it may be a problem limited to area, internet service provider (maybe Sourceforge failed to pay their Comcast tribute this month  ) or browser issues. Sigh.
  10. Just to confirm, I get infinite load on the site; I wonder if it is a location issue?
  11. That could be your problem.
  12. Please replace your mod list with your BOSS log, including messages. If you haven't used BOSS, do that first, then read the log and address all of the messages first.
  13. Can you capture and post the Papyrus log around the event? (Just the 40 or so lines before this happens, and a few lines after--not the whole thing.)
  14. Please read the pinned thread on what information to post for help requests.
  15. Sorry, now I am confused. My understanding is that you wanted to use WATER, not Pure Waters. If you want to return to Pure Waters, it is possible that uninstalling WATER and reinstalling pure Waters may solve your problem. The safest method to try would be to reinstall Pure Waters, the revert to a save from before you first removed it. As to your question about using verify cache-- if you make a copy of your ini files, you can easily copy-paste them back to completely restore them. For this reason it is always good to keep a backup of your modified ini somewhere, just in case. However, verify game cache may have some other unintended consequences as it may overwrite some of your other files. You might also try opening the mods up in TES5Edit to see what files are used by Pure Waters that are not replaced by WATER, then manually restore those files. (If you are wanting to use WATER)
  16. I suggest you take care of all of the other messages that BOSS is giving you, any of which could be causing your problem. (including the unsorted mods at the end.)
  17. Are you using BOSS? Did you take care of all the messages in the BOSS log? It looks to me like you may simply be overextending your resources. For example, the area outside of the Mage's college has a huge view distance, and the reflectivity of the ice and water can also push up the demands on your system. Have you made changes to your prefs.ini or .ini files? What graphics settings are you using? Did you install all the options on graphics and texture mods? You may simply need to configure your mods to be less demanding, pull back your graphics settings and/or your ,ini settings.
  18. Disabling a mod does not remove its scripts from your save game. That is probably related to your crash.
  19. Well, I use the unofficial patches, amd I do have insects. So I wonder if the problem is a load order or incompatibility between another mod and the patches. Could you copy/paste your BOSS log text file? (To answer your question, though, as the unofficial patches fix numerous bugs, the main side effect of not using the patches is increased bugs and glitches throughout the game. You may be able to address these as they arise with targeted mods or other fixes.)
  20. Read the pinned thread on information that is needed in a post requesting help. After adding the needed info, I suspect more people will be able to offer you advice.
  21. I do not use that mod, but it appears that the mod author states that the mod has major problems, and that because of this some people have lost their save games and have had to start over. Sorry.
  22. This is from the mod page: Did you follow that? If not, you might try reinstalling the mod, then uninstalling according to the instructions. If that does not work, you probably will have to go to a save from before you first added the mod or start a new game.
  23. Replace your mods list with your BOSS log, including the messages. If you haven't used BOSS and cleaned with TES5Edit, do that first. Then, please also list the mods you removed.
  24. When you used BOSS, it generated a log. That log has messages, such as telling you to clean the DLCs and some other mods with TES5Edit, etc. It also lists and moves unrecognized mods to the bottom of the list. It may also tell you if any of your mods are incompatible with each other. After you take care of all of those messages, post the BOSS log here (choose text format, copy/paste, include in spoilers) if you are still experiencing problems.
  25. You could simply open up the data folder in your computer, right click on the file, choose rename, and rename it. However, doing so would mean that the mod would no longer be recognized by BOSS, mods looking for that specific file as a dependency would not know it was there, etc. So I would not recommend doing that.
